But i found a example of a shortpacked figure... Earthrise Arcee and i bought her. She is so impressive for a deluxe figure :x
But i'm disappointed that she doesn't gave two guns and that her pistol isn't black or pure white. (Not this transparent grey) I'd hate losing that thing because of the obscure color.

Also it clearly looks like it was based on the russian MP-433 Grach pistol with a mounting peg on it.

ER/KD Arcee is a nice figure. But the fact that she's not a shellformer but an actual PRETENDER (with a crumpable outer shell) is hilarious.

I bought this upgrade kit for her and I can't wait to have that pretender fact on full display.
1. Pretenders actually have an altmode independent of the shell. Earthrise Arcee does not. Ergo, she is a shellformer. A more extreme one than even the likes of Break or Thunderblast, but still a shellformer.
2. Pretenders also don't wear phony kibble to pretend they transform.
3. The thigh panels on that "upgrade" kit restrict articulation.
4. As Earthrise Arcee is demonstrably not a Pretender, you are not "[having] that pretender fact on full display" since it's not a fact at all. What you are doing is... Idk, turning her into a Built to Rule/Kre-o wannabe?
WANT:
* Cyb. Galvatron key, missiles
* Omega Lock
* Primus Cyber Key, coattail panel
* Powerlinx Comettor
* Leader Sentinel Prime sword, shield
* RiD Galvy dragon head, beast arms
* Leader Ironhide windshield, R hood assy.
* Cyb. Wing Saber left chestplate (argh)

I think you are getting a bit worked up over an off-the-cuff joke at the expense of a horrendously kibbly figure.

Though given her transformation is just folding up a bit and her entire altmode is easy enough to remove, would that make her a Vehicle Pretender like Roadgrabber?

Zelda love to split hair and take everything WAY too seriously. >:oP

Well, to satisfy the adamant hardcores, That Arcee with the upgrade can be considered an ACTIONMASTER with her vehicle. Action Master vehicles can transform so hers will transform in a pile of scrap that she can throw in the face of someone. "But, but she cannot ride her vehicle." Well, she ride under it. Because Arcee ride cars the Jackass way.

I am tempted to pick up an ERcee ('cee what I did there?...I'll get my coat) or two to replace the kibblepacks entirely and craft new ones, thus using the basic mold as a means to make new fembots with relative ease. In particular I have an idea for "Ironside"- a hair-trigger tempered Deceptifemme with an outrageously bad German accent who turns into a German panzer of some description and wears her tank kibble like a big armoured greatcoat, thus turning her lazy engineering into protection AND a fashion statement. Probably not an actual WW2 Panzer though for two reasons- one, getting it to look accurate to the real vehicle AND making it transformable/poseable will probably drive my autistic self up the wall, and two, making a made-up retro-futuristic tank from 2088 that nonetheless looks like it has 30s design pedigree will be much more fun. Especially if, in true Wehraboo fashion, she scanned it thinking she was scanning a real WW2 vehicle and failed to realize it was not only a long-postwar peacetime vehicle, but was actually manufactured by the Anti-Alien Armour Association (AAAA!) in Lincoln, England!*

*No such organization exists to the best of my knowledge. However, the first tanks were built and designed in Lincoln if memory serves me well, and between my history nerding and national pride it seemed fitting.

This week's hauls.

Image

First, my Walmart is finally allowed to open their "non essential" sections. But their TF section is so barren, not even tumbleweeds are rolling. At least, I found two ER "Muscle Cars Patrol" Micromasters sets in a clearance pile. At 5$CAN each, I took one to keep sealed in my archives, and one to open.

-------

At Amazon.ca, ER Airwave was on sale at 20$CAN so I took it. I had to add something worth more than 15$CAN to have free shipping and I was pleased to see they had SS '86 Jazz at the normal 30$CAN. I finally can have him!

-------

Finally, my local geek store was allowed to be open again (stupid useless lockdowns, really...). I took Kingdom Warpath and ER Trailbreaker. Full prices, but I learned the hard way not to rely on sales.

----------

I'll give my thoughts on all of them in their various threads.

At time of writing, both Generations Metroplex and Earthrise Scorponok are still unopened in their original packaging. The latter is in fact still in the box it was delivered in. So I haven't even seen it at all. I haven't had the room and while my decorating has ground to a halt in recent times, that is likely to continue. For a little while anyway.

I use the City Bots as display pieces and for the first three, I had a mold variant or two in mind.

Trypticon - WFC/FOC Shockwave mold, Universe Cyclonus mold and Beast Machines Jetstorm
Fort Max - A selection of Beast Wars mold variants: TM Rhinox, Wolfang/K-9, Iguanus, Spittor etc
Metroplex - The Cybershark, Sky-Byte and Hammerstrike molds.

The latter, I had already mentally conceived without the City Bot being present. This left me with Scorponok. I did contemplate using him as the display for my Masterpiece collection. However, yesterday I thought of a better idea.

There was one more mold variant that I had forgotten about. One that, should fill out a City Bot very nicely. I looked into it and realised there are three other variants - two redecos and one retool. With that, I found my new project to source for 2021.

Well, that was one weird impulse purchase. I saw that listing on Canadian eBay and I just had to bid... and I was the only bidder. So what did 70$CAN shipped brought me?

One of those ultra limited Transformers Collector Club exclusive, Timeline Airazor!

Image

Only the seal of the box was ever removed. The toy itself was never transformed, and the instructions/car baggie is still sealed. So it's basically new.

This repaint / slight remold of Energon Slugslinger is already around 14 years old and is made in what is seems to be bronze plastics. I was a bit nervous when transforming.
Everything went well though, even without instructions. Still, this design felt really primitive in hand. Things also tab very loosely and the shoulders don't tab at all.

Image

Despite her flaws, this Airazor is still pretty damn cool and is a great representation of the character in her Cybertronian mode.

I'm looking forward for Kingdom Airazor to come out in my area so that I can display her Earth bird mode beside her Cybertronian spaceship self!

I felt the same. One of the coolest altmode and robot designs ever. I hunted for a long while for that toy. But I was ultimately disappointed by it since, as everyone has said multiple times, it is incredibly fiddly and indeed a floppy mess.

The only thing that tab relatively loosely on my Timeline Airazor is the crotch. The rest is pretty damn tight all over. Like scarily so.

But with her and what you say, I now no longer feel the need to get an Energon Slugslinger. Or maybe I do. My local geek store have a few for 20 or 25$CAN so I may get one just out of curiosity.

The postie came today and brought me these wonderful neon miscreants!
Image
As individuals I absolutely love them. The colours, man! Also this was my first time handling the Motormaster mold and I actually really like him. He's a big chunky hunk of truck and surprisingly dynamic.
Image
Combined mode (shown here with spare PE feet) is actually pretty good too! The shoulders are very annoying, and the hips are kind of unstable but he LOOKS awesome.
Image
...Well, from the front anyway.
Image
"WHY DID YOU MAKE ME SO WOBBLY, PRIMUS!??!"

All joking aside though I'm surprised by how much I like him. I have the PE upgrade coming too (thanks Robotkingdom!) and hopefully that'll take his combined mode up a notch.

And honestly, I don't like him very much. He's doing almost nothing for me. The head, the colors, and the legs are all ugly and/or bad

BUMPY!!!!!!! They had better make an Amber Series toy of his Season 2 self.

See the Kingdom thread, but in short: transformation didn't impress me and neither has the alt mode. It exists, and that's about it.

Oh man, that would be cool. Not sure my kids would like it though, they were sad to see Bumpy wasn't a baby anymore. And fun fact about those small dinosaur toys I posted above, they are from the McDonalds Camp Cretacious promotion. The US got 4 dinosaur toys, Canada got 8 and Asia got 12. Bumpy was in all sets of course. Since I didn't know about this promotion, it ocmpletely flew by my family so I had to hunt down the set at thrift store since that's the best place to get McDonalds toys once a promotion is over.

Okay, a few notes on all your stuff.

-kanrabat-, I used to have that Airazor, I bought mine at Botcon 2011 as a set with Astrotrain. I liked the jet mode, but the robot mode never appealed to me much, so I ended up selling the figure. The fact that I don't care for the character either probably didn't help. If you enjoy it, good for you. At least it wasn't a waste of money, and it looks in great shape.

D-Max, when I got Cyclonus, I also wasn't high on him. The color is too light and he is too simple. I even posted a few comparison pics with CW Cyclonus, whom I also consider superior. However, I will give it to Kingdom Cyclonus, the nosecone transformation is genius. I never had the RTS figure, so I wasn't familiar with it. Over time, I mellowed on him a bit, and he will look good next to Scourge and Galvatron once I get them. But the CW version is and will always be superior. Maybe only the MP will surpass it.

Evil Eye, I also love the colors of the G2 Stunticons. Yes, individually they're amazing, but Motormaster's torso mode is rivaled only by PoTP Grimlock in atrocity. If I can ever find the limbs individually, I'll probably get them to go with the above-mentioned CW Cyclonus, they would go well with his purple.

He's not a great torso for certain. I find he's not as awful as I expected, but he's certainly pretty weak. I imagine the limbs would go very well with CW Leozack/Deszarus though.

Speaking of whom, I managed to find CW Liokaiser for less than retail on a UK website, so hopefully he'll be here soonish! He's not a very good Liokaiser for certain, but as I haven't watched Victory and mainly bought him because A: he was cheap and B: I love how he looks in his own right as a Decepticon combiner, I can live with it. I kinda like the idea he's actually a "replica" Liokaiser made by a bunch of nobodies who redecorated and renamed themselves to be styled after the original legendary gestalt warrior, hoping it would make them more intimidating.

Nice! I ended up getting both too and the Core/Legends hiatus was worth it bc the engineering is improved for sure. Vertabreak is my fav, easy to pose in both modes and holds together well. Rattrap I'm a lil undecided on still since there are some funky aspects to his robot mode, such as the shoulders and knees not .. being ..secured :-? They are still totally both worth 10 bucks though and I'd recommend anyone pick at least one up to try

I've yet to open Vertebrak but I was completely blown away by Rattrap. The transformation was fun to figure out and the mouse is adorable! Maybe even 1:1 scale! A great improvement over the previous Generations figure.

My most recent poorly-thought out impulse buy is here- Liokaiser!

The individuals are perhaps a little lacking, but the combined mode might be the best HasTak gestalt I've handled thus far. His transformation gives him butterfly joints, and his hips are perfectly stable. I love him.

Nice!
Did you had a relatively good price for him, or did you lost a kidney?
