Transformers Toy haul thread
Re: Transformers Toy haul thread
- Weapon: Hip-Mounted Launchers
Haven’t posted a haul in a good long while. So this is the catching up I did in December. MPM Megatron, and MP Blackarachnia were bought on sale way back in June, but got stuck in Japan because of COVID. Got a great deal on MP Tigatron, too.

Re: Transformers Toy haul thread
Hauls from the last week.
Amazon delivered Kingdom Cyclouns last week, finishing off wave 1 for me, and Cyclonus didn't disappoint! I think he is the best of all of wave 1, just an all round excellent mold.
Then Amazon delivered the Punch/Barricade set a little early over the weekend. Very pleased with this set. Barricade looks really good, especially the use of flat black on some areas. Punch/Counterpunch is nice too. Not as nice as the earlier version, but still pretty solid. I'm going to keep both versions and use the GO one as Counterpunch and the PotP version as Punch since I like the yellow on the PotP version better.
Then today I was able to snag the big guy at Target. Outstanding figure, easily the best of SS86 so far.

Glad to see that Cyclonus is getting so much love. Really looking forward to find him. In the meanwhile...

Grabbed Kingdom Optimus Prime yesterday because ... HUZZAH! The local K-Mart finally got their **** sorted and set up the new action figure aisle which saw a couple (emphasis on a couple ... wasn't too many) of new figures put out.
He's an okay figure, I do like the robot mode, truck mode is a little ehhhhhh, but given his size you can't really complain.

This is more a pre-haul than an actual haul, but having lost all sense of self-control on eBay I bought myself something a bit special. For the princely sum of £50, I managed to acquire a complete, in-box, perfect condition...
...RID 2001 MEGATRON.
My old one sadly bit the dust years ago, but I loved that dude with all my heart. So naturally I had to get another one, and for that price? I couldn't resist! I'm pretty stoked!
Also managed to nab the ROTF redeco of 2007 Scorponok for a pretty tiny price. IIRC he ages much better than the original deco, and also I do like his colours. He will, however, be renamed something suitably silly given that in my collection he's a big cuddly pet who just wants to hug things (which might be difficult given his spiky nature).

Nice haul there! I got my rid 2001 megs off ebay last year missing only one of the foot covers but completely perfect in every other way. I'm still looking for Galvatron as well though

I have Galvatron, but I'm missing one of the launchers and one of the feet (as well as the small beast arms). I've decided to fabricate a replacement by cloning the dragon head parts of the other foot with Sculpey, and using a bead of the right diameter as a ball for the ball joint.
Really wish there were more repro parts available for that mold. I know somebody does the foot covers, but that's it.

Got a box from eBay, the other from Amazon.JP.
Bulldog have been ordered a few days before the Japanese box, but the Amazon order arrived just a day after the Canadian eBay box! Man, the Amazon.JP DHL services are fast and cheap!
I didn't knew if I wanted SS Jetfire for long and by the time I finally decided to get him, it was too late. But then, I saw it on Amazon.JP for 3800 yen so I had to get him. I added as tag along some Vocaloid figures that I didn't knew existed. I wanted just Rin but she came as a pair with Len. Oh well, guess I got my niece's B-Day gift a few months in advance!

I really love that Jetfire and I think Bulldog scale well with him in vehicle mode. Jetfire was way easier to transform than expected. I didn't even used the instructions.

And man, that face is precious!

I really love to see these old geriatric bots together. They make quite the pair!

Got something that's been long missing from my Armada collection on eBay: Armada Scavenger complete with Rollbar, missile, and all the paperwork. He's in very nice condition, tracks are clean and no falling apart, just overall nice despite being a true brick. Only cost $20 shipped so I have no complaints.

I'd love to make a "nursing home" display, where all the "really old" Transformers are between them, on rocking chairs, talking about "the good old days."
Unfortunately, I foolishly sold my DOTM Que some years back and now it's price on the secondary market is a big NOPE.

HFTD Terradive is absolutely fantastic. He was among the very first Generations deluxes I ever bought.
Unfortunately, I snapped his lance in half some months back and I have no clue how to fix it. Be very careful with yours.
