My wife and I stopped by TFCon yesterday and I picked up TR Mindwipe, the Dark Skyfire from a few years back (don't know if it's a Henkei! release or what, but I've always wanted it and got it for $45!), and four of the Fansproject Dinoking/Saurus figures: Dinoni, -shi, -san and -ichi.
Had a really good time too.

G2 Sideswipe with Dr Wu add on kit.

Re: Transformers Toy haul thread
Here my accumulative haul from various sources this week.

Galvatron has really impressed me. Bot mode is so big and menacing and has a great presence. Jet mode slightly modified is my alt mode of choice; Canon mode looks the part but does nothing for me.
Highbrow let me down a little. Transformation and articulation are kinda weak, but he is a pretty figure and a fine addition to the horde.
Got a tip about Brainstorm being just a short 25min drive away. I got swept up in the exclusivity hype and nabbed the last one. I haven't opened it yet but with how strong Blurr is and holding the Gen version next to the TR package I'm already impressed. The TR BS deco is glorious; all them tampos and paint apps.
And lately I needed a red Rumble to go with my blue Rumble Frenzy.
I have the Hasbro Prime Rumble with the Demon face. I think that will work great for Frenzy where Rumble will have the cool guy shades. They will of course be swapping weapons.

I hear Bisk is a winner and I can vouch for scroponok being as good as the other decepticons. I wouldnt recomend Sideswipe. And while i like Powersuge prime quit a bit (especially that clear plastic clash deco), I am kinda pissed that we didnt just get that right away instead of the previous warrior optimus. It fixes his flaws and just gives you so much more that I kinda feel jipped by the previous use of that mold.

I did the same. Its the first time that these two characters who usually are straight up redecos of one another can actually be purchased different faces. I found that super cool (even though Takara wins for that headsculpt, wow). One thing i just noticed with your pic is how Takara lies about the accessories he comes with on the box. It shows him with the Hasbro weapons on the box.

Huh, so it does. They also appear to integrate better, have paint and have glowing lights. I demand a refund!william-james88 wrote:One thing i just noticed with your pic is how Takara lies about the accessories he comes with on the box. It shows him with the Hasbro weapons on the box.

Now that I've seen that I'll want to paint them, dang it.

I've been wondering about this for awhile, so I guess this is the appropriate time. What do you use as an MP Ratchet or Ironhide if you only want one per mold? You've gotta have both characters but they both share the same alt mode. How do you handle this predicament? This is directed more at Cary because I know Shajaki already has every repaint, retool, and remold, of every figure and all future ones on preorder already

EDIT: just fixed the post sorry

I never knew proof was needed.
I went out for milk, and came home with TR Brainstorm. I've gotten six TR Deluxes this week, from last Saturday to today.

That is an awesome week! I still haven't found wave 2 so I'm envious.
Also D-Max, I don't have any idea why I thought that your haul earlier had Frenzy in it. Must've gone crazy for a second

Man, really. I'm starting to hope for the usual crap distribution to kick in again, just so I can get a little bit of a break.
I really like the Saurus bots. This may be a verboten thing to say, since the board is way far lodged up the Hasbro tailpipe, but they're probably the best transforming toys I've handled in quite a while. After I finish Ryo-oh, I'm going to start in on the Hades team. They had an assembled one at TFCon, and I really like it, but having never had and 3rd party toy exposure yet, I wanted to at least get some idea before I really committed.

I feel ya there. when all the stuff you want suddenly shows up, it's hard to resist buying it. It's even harder when they are staring at you in the store.
But that's also good to hear about the saurus bots. I don't mind 3P stuff, and besides, sometimes a good mix of official an unofficial makes for a much more varied haul that scratches some really different itches

Got my Brainstorm today. Also saw Highbrow, which is the last deluxe from that wave that I don't have yet, but left him on the peg because of Walgreens marked up prices. I'd like to get him sometime but he's not a must have. Brainstorm is quite handsome in bot mode, though I still like the Thrilling 30 version better overall. TR Brainstorm's vehicle mode isn't great.
I also bought two more Scourges at Walmart because of the sale. Figured it was now or never if I wanted a couple sweeps. Might add some paint to them. Not sure yet.
Still loving my Scorp and Paralon from the previous couple weeks!

Brainstorm leading the charge with some of my recent favorite misfits. (Definitely not all from this haul, just Brainstorm)

Found Brainstorm yesterday at a different Walgreens and he rang up as $17.99.
