My thoughts exactly!! Are MP-01 and MPP-10 the same height? I never thought scale was a big deal to me.....but MPP-10 towers over all but Fort Max. :p

And while I like the energon cubes added in, I'm not a huge fan of that sticky material it's made of. The storage area in the figures for the cubes are pretty awesome though. Overall, I'm happy with the set at the price I paid for it.

They are diecast. Their bodies are black painted die cast metal. Its because they are smaller and thus have less die cast that it feels like they dont. But compare them to any legends sized toy in your hand and you will feel the difference.
And I love the use of chrome and translucence on these, they look like little gems. Its also cool how different they are from one another even though they have a uniform look.

But yeah, Predaking and the coneheads are easily the best Platinums ets we have ever gotten so they are hard to top (though I do also really love the Blaster/perceptor one, LOTS of value there)

Ahh ok you're right about the die cast. But yes my expectations are too high after those other 2 sets.

So I escaped the home town for the "big" city to catch Rogue One and went on a bit of a hunt.

Nothing like what the rest of Australia is seeing unfortunately. Best I could manage were these two.

Not overly impressed with Hot Rod. Triggerhappy though? **** awesome!

Agreed. I'm actually quite impressed by how much I like Triggerhappy. Hotrod does nothing for me, but sadly, he is needed for my Optimus collection.

Yeah, I don't have him in front of me right now, but if I remember right if the thighs aren't lined up correction it keeps the lower legs from meeting the body and prevents everything else from snapping in.

No, please, do tell me what I need to do. I tried turning the hips around 180°, but that seems to bring up the panels of his legs even higher.

Got me Titans Megatron. And I LOVE IT! Fulfils my G1 Megs needs by being affordable, Voyager-sized (I like my commanders in voyager size and super-forms like PM Prime in Leader), well proportioned, doesn't turn into a silly gun, has tank mode and as a bonus a jet mode (with all 3 forms looking unusually good for a triple changer). Was worried he'd have a huge backpack but it's really not bad at all. He's a very tidy figure even with the jet wings in robot mode. I didn't like the bits on each side of the neck cos they kinda block head movement a little but you can keep them folded down anyways and I much prefer it this way. Toys R Us also had Voyager Prime but I didn't care for it. May sell my slightly modified Galvatron now as I don't really care for it and only the robot mode is any good on that one and even then it leaves a lot to be desired. Yup I love this Megatron much more.

and I got CW Rodimus who is pretty crappy but was cheaper than usual. Since i have the far, far superior Titans version I can say this lil Rodimus is just Daniel Witwicky in a new exosuit inspired by his buddy. Why they didn't put two lil slots on his back for the spoiler to stick on his back I just do not know.

Doh. I thought that the gun part of the turret could tilt up cos it's a seperate piece but it doesn't look like it does as I tried and snapped off the post that piece is attached too. The piece still stays on snug without it though (I even lifted the entire figure up just by that 'loose' part and it held). Maybe better cos now it 'can' tilt up (though with the fusion cannon attached probably not for long) and I can perhaps mod it some more.

I dont think the his is the problem, its the shoulders. You have to make sure the shell pieces tab into the slots in the shoulders. You can get a really good result:

I've modified Titans Hot Rod there so his shoulders go a bit lower cos I feel they're too high on the factory figure. Just took a lil bit of careful cutting and filing and I'm much happier with it now.

Here's my ALMOST haul. TR voyager Megatron. I was just a few feet away from the cash register with him in hand. It's nice looking and all but... Full price... I have so MANY Megs already... It's just an impulse purchase... And the one I REALLY want is Blitzwing to go with my TR Astrotrain... Blitzwing WILL come out... It just a matter when...

So...

I left TR Megs on a random shelf and walked away. [-(
