Transformers Toy haul thread

The other day I decided I needed my new Transformers toy fix so I got TLK Barricade at Walmart. I'm definitely on the "Barricade is cool" side of the discussion.
And they had TTCs on rollback for $2 so I got Sideswipe, Hound, and Shadow Armor Grimlock. They're neat but maybe not for me. We'll see.

Because my previous RID Windblade had an unfortunate accident, I bought myself a new one. The better one, the "masked ninja" version.

Did you subconciously engineer this 'accident' so you'd have to buy this better one?
I have anxiety, depression and aspergers syndrome so my behaviour can be erratic. I don't mean offense to anyone. Just very picky about my Transformers collecting. You're all cool!
Likes: Bayverse, Marvel UK G1, Geoff Senior art, '86 movie (more for style/soundtrack rather than Star Wars plot)
Dislikes: Bumblebee movie (lousy rehashed dumb crud), TFA, G1 cartoon, IDW G1, BW/BM, MP. The entire concept of Autobot Megatron

I had a very bad losing streak at some video game. To try to calm down, I sat with a Tf to transform. Fate chose the very RED RID Windblade. Then, for some random reasons her head flew off pretty far mid-transformation.
Then my inner 6yo got the better of me and there wasn't much left of her after I was done.

Let's just say that buying a new one at FULL PRICE was my punishment for this... immature outburst.
Still, that new version DOES look way better and make her more distinct from the regular Generations one.
So... Win?...

Please forgive me, but I find that statement quite funny and very much in line with some fun pub discussions I have had today.
Forgiven, but I'm going to have to ask for more details as to why it's funny.
Anyhow, I wanted to get him while FunPub had him (which I regret not doing for Ratchet), but it's hard not to compare him unfavorably to FSS Fractyl.

Because the joke with Fun Pub is that they are a constant dissapointment. And you not being excited fits perfectly with the resounding attitude towards them. Their last FSS figure is supposed to be a surprise and we didnt know what it was but one of our staff said he knew but didnt want to ruin the dissapointment for us. Which I found was a very funny sentence. And I read your comment right after that so it was just thematically in line with the attitude.
I hope that explains it.

I just got a Driller (with Knockout) and a stray Mechtech weapon for £1.00 I also got given a Free space 1999 Annual at a Sale Trail today - so a small haul - but along with a few other non-toy bits it was worth the trip.

Yes, but there is further scrutiny from the fandom when it comes to toys that are made only for them (from the Transformers collector's club).

Good point.

"Scrutiny" is a very diplomatic word choice there.

For what it's worth, I'll say again that I probably would have liked Terrorsaur better if I hadn't had Fractyl already. Terrorsaur dwells closer to my nostalgia, but Fractyl has an utterly gorgeous color scheme and kept his HFG.

A modest haul. Megatron and BB-8 were found today at TRU, and I didn't even know this BB-8 was a thing! I am very excited for both.
also seen is the Skyhammer I got over a month ago and finally remembered to bring with me.

Small haul from Mandrake's 1 yen auctions (which they're getting rid of in favor of a 100 yen auction Thursday, boo!). These were the only two things in this order, but with shipping the total was just a little over $15 so I'm not complaining!
Transformers United Axalon - 600 JPY ($5.30)
Didn't realize until I got him that someone did all of his panel lines and painted his fists black. For the price I'm not complaining, they did a good job on it. Plus his missiles were included, I was a little worried they may not have been included.
Transformers EX Movie Sideswipe - 1 JPY (.009¢)
Can't pass on getting something for less than a penny. Actually a nice figure, good detailing, really like the face paint, and the transformation is more complex than I had expected.
Also got MP Soundwave in the mail last week... still haven't opened the mailing box yet... still haven't moved it from the front door...

That might have been me, this was my post:

this is a cool combination but for it to work, you should attach the drone to a peg on the side of his forearm, so it creates a shield and alligns the gun next to his wrist. Which looks awesome and leaves him with his hands able to weild other weapons.

So with all the talk of the Velocitron set becoming scarce I decided to make the 75 mile road trip to the nearest TRU in Portland, ME to see if I could find one for myself. Made a few stops along the way with some hits and misses.
First stop was Five Below because I heard someone here had spotted some Transformers stuff there, but I didn't find anything.
Second stop was Target, managed to get TR Bumblebee and almost picked up Brawn and Roadburn, but passed when I finally found a Voltron Yellow Lion with acceptable paint (I've passed up a good half dozen of them). So yeah, lots of yellow plastic on this stop. They also had a Skullsmasher which surprised me, I haven't seen one since the fall.
Next was TRU, my reason for going on this trip. The Transformers section in the aisle was sparse to say the least. They still have a Fort Max, a couple Blasters and Soundwave, and the entire first wave of TR Deluxe class. Again, weird, haven't seen those since last year in my area. Anyway the Velocitron set wasn't here, not even a spot for them, so I wandered around the action figure aisles to see if maybe one was misplaced, but still no luck. Returned to the Transformers section, which is only about three feet wide total and noticed there weren't any TLK Premier Deluxe figures there. So I decided to investigate the rest of the store for a TLK display. The front of the store had big displays for all of the other big summer movies, but no Transformers. Went past the dolls, went past the Legos, and went past the board games and that's where I finally found a TLK movie display hidden away where nobody would think to look for it. And that's where I finally found two Velocitron sets. They probably wouldn't have been there if they were easy to find. So I bought one and they tried to sell me a two year warranty for it which made me laugh. And what, they would repair them if they broke.
Next I hit the mall and found Alt Modes for $1.97 at Game Stop. Got Megatron and what I thought was Optimus, but turned out to be Ultra Magnus. Isn't that always the way?
Also grabbed the new Digimon movie BD at Best Buy.
The Walmart down there had nothing of interest. In fact they still had a beat up CW Scattershot on the shelf for full price.
Overall it was a worthwhile trip. I had hoped to find TR Deluxe wave 4 or Sky Shadow, but no luck there.
