I haven’t really bought any TF in a while. Some pretty amazing deals this past weekend.

Really enjoying Overlord. He’s surprisingly posable, and simple in the best kind of way.

That BH skylinx... Is it just to counter-balance the greatness of Tripticon, Overlord, and Computron?

Its a great looking dragon mode and the robot's not bad either. Its just the transformation that is lackluster.

I like him and his mold mates as a sort of throwback to some of the more crazy Beast Wars Pradacons like Manterror and especially Scourge. Gotta love those monsterous atypical bot modes.

Anyway, got Leader Dragonstorm in the mail from that big Transformers sale a week ago the previous Saturday. He's a better figure than I had expected, though he feels very fragile and Stormreign is so hollow. Dragon mode is pretty great and those wings are spectacular! Dragonicus is pretty nice on his own, though I can't quite get his chest to shut right no matter how well I pack the stuff inside him. If only they had come up with a better paint scheme.

I picked up another set of the Clones. This was a total score. I saved $4 and this set is in much better shape. As previously mentioned, the one I picked up had some noticeable imperfections in the hands. Thankfully I never opened it for this very reason.

It's official, the clone set has reached saturation in NYC. One small Duane Reade (a NYC pharm owned by Walgreens) by my office, which generally has an extremely poor selection of toys, had 4! I've probably inspected close to 10 boxes in the last few days, and I have noticed that most (maybe 80%) had that imperfection. It's as if Cloudraker's hand was dragged over rough pavement causing scratching. I'm just glad I was able to get a nicer copy while saving money.

Congrats on that set! I bought Oilmaster separately, and he alone makes the set incredible. I'm kind of jealous of that Battletrap!

I got Leader Dragonstorm today. I knew it wasnt the best but I do collect TF Dragons, its one of my top 5 alt modes (oh, you bet that list is coming). But man, whoever designed the joints on this thing should get their head examined. None of the limbs in dragon mode extend far enough to actually let you pose him in a way which doesnt look like ass. Also, speaking of joints, its really dumb to restrict movement of the middle dragon head by not giving it an extra swivel to rotate the head which could then let you actually orient the neck for some proper articulation. It can make such a difference.

Congrats on that set! I bought Oilmaster separately, and he alone makes the set incredible. I'm kind of jealous of that Battletrap!

I got the set at the same price Oilmaster has been running on eBay, so I'm really happy! Packrat was really the only one I didn't want, but he'll stay in rat mode to go with Rattrap in robot mode.

Oh, and Battletrap is awesome! Uses the best triple changer mold created to me. Took this picture too: the completed Duocons as triple changers

Finally, I found Warrior RID Soundwave at Wal-Mart! ......

So exited, I open it right away. Then I see that Soundwave is my 4th défective figure of current year.

HASBROOOOOO!

Sigh. Refund time. Guess that I Will never have that RID Soundwave.

Man you are bad luck Chuck I'm waiting on a PotP restock to replace my Slash - had two left thighs. Not only does she dance in circles, but she's stuck in bot mode.

I was still in the Wal-Mart. Soundwave was in mid-transformation. Half the left car wing is missing. The part still on the factory floor....

Also got TR Misfire. Never should have skipped on him the first time around and thankful I was able to get it this time around without paying scalper fees. Might be my fav among the trio.

Speaking of ebay, so I was able to apply a $10 coupon they sent me. The weird thing is the seller (1500 rating) ended up ordering it from Amazon via TFSource and sending it to me. Some reviews mentioned him doing the same thing. Not sure what the seller's MO is.

Oye, what a week... Here's a piece of advice: if you're with someone who likes coupons a lot, prepare for lots of trekking. I had that happen twice this week, once with my wife and her mother because of a birthday coupon at a make-up store called Ulta, and my father-in-law's one-time holiday discount at Walmart. It was the latter that had me beat because that resulted in 3 whole hours stockpiling necessities in a single store (not to mention having to replace the furnace and putting up christmas lights on the same day). Of course, I took the opportunity to get a few things from a Ross next to the Ulta, and the Walmart:

Autobots Unite Optimus Prime & Ravenspar
Generations Titans Return Dreadnaut & Decepticon Overlord

And I did something at the Ross I hardly ever do in general: ask for assistance. I asked a clerk if they had more sets in the back, she checked, but no dice. Looks like I'll have to look for Bumblebee & Hot Rod elsewhere.
Overlord I've been eyeing since I first saw him, passed, next time he was gone. The second time I lucked out, as I spotted him before Black Friday, and decided to wait for that holiday discount. Risky, but it paid off. I consider this my unofficial foray into PotP, Spark Pecs look better than Head Pecs.

Ravenspar will be repurposed as a female, fitting the body-type, while Overlord will be the EU incarnation. Bring on the Brainmasters/Motorvators!

Hey, I got those same stand raisers in my order with Triggerhappy, Brawn, and Kickback. I plan on using them for Mini-cons and other tiny bots. I also have Misfire and Doublecross on the way.

My Cyber Monday Trypticon came in, haven't opened it yet to see if I won the good hips lottery yet.
