So this was my haul from Wizard World Comic Con in Philadelphia today. In terms of TFs, I snagged the Platinum Edition Insecticon set, CW Scattershot, and a G1 Blast Off (minus accessories). Picked up a few extra goodies as well including that Matt Fraction run of Hawkeye. I was hoping to find TR Trypticon at the con, but not very many vendors were selling TFs. But I'm happy with what I found.

Just went from a random hunt at the local thrift store. Came back with a seemingly complete Animated Slug and a vintage Fisher Price xylophone from 1978! No weapon nor stick obviously. Nice for 9$CAN total.

Got VERY lucky at Ollie's today. Trypticon was kind of expected, but the deluxes were a shock! They had Quake as well, but I elected to pass. If I ever learn to airbrush, they may become Fangry, Pharma, the Alligaticon, and Jetstorm.

I don't remember ever having owned one as a toddler. But one thing is for sure. I did played with one several times through my early childhood.

G1 Shockwave is a marvelous toy. So good that the animation model barely modded anything. Plus if you don't care about posability, you won't even need the MP.

He most definitely is marvelous. I also now suddenly understand the demand for an updated Leader-scale version. I don't know why, but I always have really great luck finding G1 stuff at conventions. Between Shockwave, G1 Blast Off, and the Platinum Edition Insecticons, this has been a great weekend for my G1 checklist!

MPM-5 Barricade finally arrived from AmiAmi after almost a four week delivery. Sat in Japan for nearly two weeks before it finally left the country and then sat in New York for almost another week before slowly working its way towards me.

As mentioned, I collect complete sets. I recently completed the non-show Beast Wars trinity sets: Cybershark, Iguanas and Spittor. However, I noticed recently when going through my storage there was another potential set to be completed. When I picked up my (still) 100% complete K-9. So some well haggled eBay buying later and today marked the arrival of this guy:

Now, years ago although I really liked K-9 (rare for a non-villain character)I held off on getting Wolfang because I thought he was just a repaint. It was only when he arrived today I realised my error.

They are fantastic together and I couldn't be happier now I own both. If only that were the end...

Now I have a dilemma. Do I continue my sets to their next (more expensive) level? Sharp Edge, Max-B and Hellscream. Then include the repaints too? (Red) Wolfang and Overbite... :BOOM:
