Not much of a haul, setting money aside for a little project. But I did get some figures:

Siege WFC-S10 Skytread
Studio Series #41 Constructicon Scrapmetal

Slowly catching up with the lines, but I'm still missing that blasted Roadtrap to complete the final Duocon :BANG_HEAD:

*ahem* Two pieces down, a loooong wait to go for Mr. Wrecking Balls.

2 Pretty dang good cons.

Wait until you get Rampage, he is fantastic!!

Already have him, hence "Two pieces down" ;) Now to wait for Hightower and Long Haul

Scrapmetal is just lovely, I'll have to dig out Universe 2003 Scavenger for comparing. Skytread is also good, but my copy has a very slight molding defect in that the molding on the back left side of the tank is partially smoothed out. Also, the foldout panel on that very side is stiff and I popped it off on first transformation. Had trouble popping it on (so did the ones assembling him if the stress marks are any indication), but I can look past that.
The resident Rewind... well, half of one

Did you order anything from Hasbro Pulse in Feb. that gave you the free shipping for the rest of the year? If so, Pulse has Roadtrap for $9.99.

Ah I somehow missed that!

I think everyone had a bit of a tough time with the Skytread tank mode, it's a bit tight

I don't know why, but I've been really interested in the Studio Series, despite my being more of a G1 enthusiast. So far, I've picked up:

Shadow Raider
Drift with Baby Dinobots
Rampage
Scrapmetal
Grimlock
Dropkick
Brawl
Bumblebee Retro Pop. Volume 2 (granted, I mainly wanted the cassettes).

And I even went and picked up a The Last Knight Dragonstorm, and promptly snapped one of the neck pieces. It still fits but you have to be careful when handling.

Grimlock is my absolute favorite, with the Constructicons coming in next. Dropkick is too loose. Brawl is awesome but I think his head is a bit too big.

Just got myself 1-step cyberverse fusions shot megatron to replace my boring classics megatron. I prefer his looks over no knees or elbows.
Things almost got sour, the shelf tag said he cost 2949 ISKR but at the cash register it was rung up at 3949 so luckily i managed to point out this error and they willingly let me get him at shelf price as the customer is usually right.

So goodbye gimpy arm Megs i wont miss you, i even chucked the green thing into a nearby trashcan with me taking on the role of starscream.

In an ultra rare move, I made an impulse buy. Rhinox being my favourite Maximal (of which I never owned a toy) I decided to buy him (Transmetal Rhinox, to be precise). Ended up as a new variant collection, as I bought him and his two redecos (Fox Kids and Armada) for $30, which in total, adding shipping, customs and subtracting exchange rates, came to £33 ;)^

Image

Image

None are mint on card, which doesn't interest me. Minimal Chrome scraping and, most importantly, all three come with the Horn blade (which was missing from a LOT of eBay Rhinox entries).

Thanks. It did always bug me that Rhinox and Waspinator never gained their Transmetal forms in the show, as the designs were so interesting.

Yeah, I can only assume that the horn doesn't attach very securely as there were a lot of Hornless Rhinox on eBay. One seller even had a set (herd?) of four, all missing the horn :???:

Well the horn is tiny and it doesn't help that its part of a head that splits open. Most of them must have been from a sellers childhood collection.

Nice Rhinoxes. I’ve always been a big fan of how beefy and brutal his TM toy looks. It’s a big improvement on his original toy. I’ve never been too sure what his vehicle 3rd mode is. I just assumed it was, like, a snowmobile. I’ll eventually get around to picking up his variants myself. It really is a shame that so many awesome looking TM and TM2 figures never appeared in the show.

Yeah, like whatever TM Dinobot was supposed to be? A... snake :???:

Indeed. It is strange when you think that none of the Fliers were upgraded to TM in the show. I think it would have lent to even more pathos for Dinobot, in Code of Hero, if everybody except him became TM.

Although the subtext that could have been implied to the idea of TM Blackarachnia being a bike, especially in the season they introduced a love interest for her....

Hoooookaayyyy

Jaki is casual with the Pub these days apparently. Sorry not sorry

It's been a rough couple of months, money has been super tight, and I still haven't been buying with much brain thought. I legit bought 400 bucks(ish?) worth of Studio Series figures and left them in the trunk of my car, thinking I might have to return them to like, feed myself. But things are slightly stable now (I know I'm keeping all the stuff) so I guess it's ok to share. So let's start with the Wave 1 Siege Leaders Shocky and Maggy. And my newest weirdo MP, Atmos#1!

Image

Oh man, thank you ChosenPrime for eventually stocking this convention exclusive G2 Screamer. Cause them aftermarket prices, barf
(still gotta get their G2 Jazz though *weeps*)

Image

SS Deluxes 23, and 26-30. And Seige Prowl/Metro-cronie.

Image

SS Voyagers 32, 33, 37, 38.

Image

A Siege lady and dude. Damn that Ironhide is being elusive...

Image

And finally SS-36 Drift and dino-babies.

WHOA!! NICE HAUL JAKI!!

First new TF's I've spotted in a good while now: I finally scored Stakeout and Red Heat! They're awesome, especially Stakeout his paint is stellar and it even says 'Police' on the little tiny doors in Cybertronian I love that!

Man he’s so neat I love that spark crystal in the chest! Not all of ‘em but some of those BWII and Neos I would have flipped for. I was snatching up every BW release back in the day and didn’t learn about these beauties till way later. Those look in great shape too great win!

Saturday I got my Red Swoop from the Seiberton ebay store after the sale from last week. I originally passed on Red Swoop (cancelled my BBTS preorder) as I don't need him to complete a combiner. But for a little below retail I said why not.

I'm pretty meh on him. QC-wise, mine is a little more floppy that I would like, but still fully pose-able. I really don't have an attachment to the red or the blue chest, but Red Swoop misses the mark on not having the gold underpaint on the beak as well as not matching the grey plastic with the rest of the dinobots.

For me, Red Swoop is kind of like TR Arcee. Nice exclusive to have for the completionist in me, but won't be replacing the better previous versions (PotP Blue Swoop and T30 Arcee), and will probably just sit in a bin most of the time.

Nice! I, too, have taken that BW Neo plunge. I most recently got Long Rack and Guiledart, and I love them both. I don’t regret diving into these at all.

I personally prefer to addition of red to Long Horn, over Hasbro’s Bonecrusher. He looks more distinct.

those vs packs are going to be a huge thing in the coming months for me. Those things are much cheaper than the individuals (for the most part) and in the case of Neo, I'll probably get all the beasts!

BWII I plan to avoid the standard-formers. I'm focusing on the Maximals and then the Cyborgs. The Cyborgs might be it for BWII Preds.

I tell you what though, Diver is going to be a pain to get. He is really not cheap, cause of that frikkin Niagara base! He will be harder than the cyborgs me thinks

Yeah, tell me about it. The Korean ones are so much cheaper, even though they’re the same toys, but different packaging. The packaging is pretty garbage though, but since mine aren’t staying in it, I don’t care.

I’m right there with you on the BW2 figures. And yeah, Diver will be a pain, bro. If/when I get everything else, then I’ll probably tell myself that it’s time to bite the bullet on the difficult to find/expensive stuff. I still haven’t picked up an original Spittor yet, so I’ve never gotten to handle that mold. And then there’s his red variant....oof.

I mean, considering there is a Laserbeak redeco for the original Terrorsaur figure, you would have thought it a no-brainer? Especially given the "jet" mode couldn't look like more of a homage/re-imagining??

Thing is, Lazorbeak was really only a name homage:

I don't recall our favorite snooping cassette-condor being purple :P

Found him yesterday, couldn't resist and got him. 50$ is a steal, and I got one with excellent hips and a tail. Those stickers tho...

Excellent stuff. Patience and tweezers, is how I overcame the stickers. Still haven't got Metroplex out of the box I bought months ago, because I don't have that time right now. I do take issue with the fact modern figures are bundled with stickers at all as a bit of a con, but it is what it is.

I'm fine with stickers, myself. I find them fun to put on, and they're better than just having a sparse handful of paint operations with no supplement (*cough*Bandai America*cough*). And it's probably easier to do all the fancy greebly detail as stickers.

Ugh, I feel you on that one.

I've been remiss, so time to play catch-up. Here's all I've acquired since my last posted haul, in chronological order:
SIEGE Cog (No individual photo yet, whoops)

Image
Battle Blade Bumblebee! Sooooo glad to have this guy. He is the definitive Deluxe-class Movie Bumblebee as far as my collection is concerned. Integrated cannon and retractable battle mask = win, and the axe is a nice bonus despite the awkwardness.

ROTF Jetfire tailfins and missile (no pic)

Image
SIEGE Chromia. She was a somewhat serendipitous find - I would normally never buy anything from the store I found her at, but one day I had to go in there anyway because I urgently needed the restroom.
Guest-starring Cog.

Optimus Primal missile (no pic)

Image
Image
Cybertron Dark Crumplezone. No key, but he has both missiles as well as the blasted fins.

Image
Image
"Magnus Prime" from the Siege on Cybertron boxset. I got him for $33 plus $7 shipping, which was a nice deal IMO. He has become the de facto Powermaster Optimus Prime of my collection. Yes, despite all the work I put into the regular one...

Image
An Optimus Primal sword and another missile. Found in an assorted lot of LEGO Technic pieces, of all places. Was $13 shipped, so can't complain.

Image
SIEGE Megatron. Not bad, at least, makes for a serviceable CHUG Megs. Pondering ways the design could be kitbashed into a "submarine" if I were to get a 2nd.

Image
To go with "Magnus Prime", I ordered Legends Godbomber. Who finally arrived on Wednesday. And I'm quite happy with the purchase. I look forward to taking plenty of photos, and will scan the instructions.

Yesterday was a lovely day for my collection.
Image
First, my Amazon order of Punch-Counterpunch and Alpha Trion/Landmine arrived in the mail. Nice to have them both. Punch checks off another box in the Headmaster-era list and is fun to play with, and it's always good to have more Prime Masters.

Then, at Target I picked up the following three:
Image
SIEGE Ultra Magnus. Very happy to have him, he's the SIEGE Leader-class figure I wanted the most.

Image
SIEGE Sixgun. A lovely update of the original.

Image
And finally, SIEGE Aimless. He's going to need corrective surgery like Firebolt did, but he's still nice.
What's not nice is what TR Misfire is selling for on eBay currently :-x
WANT:
* Cyb. Galvatron key, missiles
* Omega Lock
* Primus Cyber Key, coattail panel
* Powerlinx Comettor
* Leader Sentinel Prime sword, shield
* RiD Galvy dragon head, beast arms
* Leader Ironhide windshield, R hood assy.
* Cyb. Wing Saber left chestplate (argh)
