I totally got Siege Springer for 12.99 at Ross (Dress for Less). The one in my area (South Dayton) also had a Starscream(12.99), a Hound (7.99), and a Skytread(7.99). This is apparently a nationwide closeout/sale. I highly recommend heading down to one to see what they have!!

My local Ross has nothing in that department yet. Hopefully soon, I want my Springer!

Anyway, with SS Overload out, gonna play catchup with:

I think they already sold out of it all. I have no idea why this post took a week to get approved, but it's a week old now. I know the store here already sold out of it's stock (this sale was also posted to the TF Wiki Facebook page, it's how I found out about it).

I hope I'm wrong, though, and you get that Springer! Now that I actually have him, I gotta say he's easily in the top three for the whole WFC line!

Hubby was a bit shy on the pricing initially, it was pay for Slugslinger and Squeezeplay to get everybody else free, but once I started going over the prices they sell for on Transformerland.
. . . Well, he started asking if there were any others in the display case that I wanted while the sale was going on. The only G1s left in the case were some action masters, throttle bots, a slew of pretenders, and an overpriced Highbrow.

I've had to fight for the last three sales to scoop up any of them since the other local stores have been raiding to stock their own shelves! All of them were once part of a collection that was sold to the store at the end of last year, and I think my wallet can soon breathe a sigh of relief.

A list of what I've picked up from this collection:
G1 Blitzwing, G1 Flywheels, G1 Battletrap, G1 Chromedome, G1 Brainstorm, G1 Squeezeplay, G1 Hardhead, G1 Slugslinger, G1 Quickswitch, G1 Crankcase, G1 Octane, and G2 Jazz.

Everyone except Jazz and Flywheels has been complete, and all are at least a solid 8.5 on the condition scale.

There was a complete snow white G1 Apeface and Snapdragon, but at the time I needed to buy flooring and couldn't spend the sale price of $200+ each. It has just been crazy at this one store, and has kinda been my convention substitute.

So I've been sourcing the Machine Wars line for a friend and I must admit, I am rather taken with them. They have one of the things I like in Transformers, uniformity. For example, aside from Soundwave, all of the Decepticons are jets. Megatron included. By the same token, aside from Sandstorm, all of the Autobots are either (3)trucks or (2)cars. Everyone is atypical to expectation too, which is another plus for me. Aside from Prime and Hoist, who are still trucks.

I guess we'll never know where Machine Wars would have gone. Whether it would have been a one-off stop gap ala Car Robots. Or if HasTak had bigger, multimedia plans for it.

Got a tiny haul.

First, a big pile-o-scraps from my local geek shop. All that lot for less than 30$CAN!



See that blue tank at the bottom left? I already MADE A LITTLE SOMETHING with it.

Still at the same Geek shop, I bought G2 Rapido and G2 Terradive. The bot modes are wonky but adorable.
At my local Canadian Tire, I randomly found a "cheapo" Starscream. Not that cheap at 8$CAN plus some change taxes included, but the bot is decent looking and posable.



As for the vehicle modes, the G2s are simply perfection, with almost zero robot kibbles from any angles. As for poor Starscream.... he lay down on his belly and hope to pass off as a jet!



That little hunt may be not impressive, but at least I got some interesting things.

Cyberverse Clobber has been on sale for $17.30 on Amazon for a little while now so I picked one up.

Also my Earthrise Arcee and Smokescreen arrived Sunday from Target. I'm so used to only getting packages from Amazon on Sunday that I didn't actually expect them to show up. The rest of the Deluxes from the wave shipped separately and should be here in a week.

Came to work early today because partner was starting her work early and I had to have some blood tests.

Before getting here I received an e-mail from Amazon to say my parcel was being delivered today (despite their shipping e-mail telling me it wouldn't arrive until Sept 22) so I was pleasantly surprised when the Senior Sales Guy walked in around 8:30 with a nice big box containing Scorponok.

Considering he's not getting a general retail release I'm happy to have secured him from Amazon for $246AUD.

Some how, and I don't know why, but I managed to get free shipping. I guess they took pity on me because he's so big and expensive?

I dragged my feet with Omega Supreme and ended up paying $300AUD on Amazon, so yeah, getting in while Amazon were doing a deal on Scorponok made it an easy decision.

I did dragged my feet for OS too. But when it was restocked on sale at Walmart for 200$CAN + Tx, I jumped. No regrets because that may be the best titan I ever had beside G1 Fortmax.

I may do the same thing with Scorponok and if Select Black Zarack ever get announced, I'll sell the regular Scorponok if I bought it by then.

My birthday is tomorrow so my (wife's) general rule has always been any new TF's I get from September 1-11 my kids get to wrap and give me as presents.

This year I got to cheat a little with the troop builders, as I'm not going to have them wrap multiples of the same items. So I opened one of my Quintessons already, and might open one of the Allicons and/or Airwaves tonight.

I also found the micromasters August 31st (just in time), but forgot to post them.
