Hello folks, probably a little off topic but interesting nonetheless.
Someone had taken the time to scan in old Argos catalogues (the whole thing) and I took to the toy pages to compare some of the prices of back then compared to what we pay now.
For anyone not in the know Argos is a UK catalogue shop that sold a little of everything but had very little produce on the shop floor and required you to order it at the counter where it would be brought down from a warehouse in a few minutes.
In today's modern scheme of things this is actually quite a forward thinking business model for saving space and reducing theft.
Very interesting to browse through a catalogue and see the point where Transformers stopped being listed (circa 1990) to be replaced by pages of Boglins, Turtles and Manta Force.
