I don't recall Roritchi ever being revealed, let alone hinted at (until it was announced that Fasttrack has a spear mode). When was this?

The phrase I had used was "all but confirmed", it hasn't been revealed yet. But that leak at the link o.supreme provided was correct about a number of things like Clone 2 pack and Hubcap so it seems accurate.

It also includes the G.I.Joe crossover set which I'm now remembering is an SDCC exclusive, though I guess now it's strictly a Pulse exclusive. The reason why I think it's a crossover figure and not just a G.I.Joe figure and a Transformers figure in the same box is because the Joe line is now 6" and Hasbro is a stickler for scale right now so I can't see that happening.

One of the reasons why I thought it would be Sky Lynx is because it specifically lists it as a set which Sky Lynx could be considered. Another reasons is because there aren't a lot of figures in the trilogy so far that would fit a Joe crossover. Maybe Megatron, but he'd be expected to be in G2 colors and that's already listed as well. Maybe the Seekers, but they don't really match any popular Joe jets. Sky Lynx doesn't look exactly like the Defiant, but he does have all of the same modes, shuttle, crawler, and battle station launch pad.

Plus we aren't even the first to think of this.

Might just be a 6 inch cobra commander as old snake figure. I've avoided the marvel figures from having a huge toybiz collection and the use of same body for multiple characters bothers me (yet I collect some motu stuff so go figure) but I think I'm in for all the cobra figures. Kind of want it to be the gi Joe extreme headmaster klaw idea that never happened.

So, supposedly the "Alternate Universe" Optimus Prime has been revealed as an Amazon Prime Day exclusive, and a pre-order is up, but when I search on Amazon I find no links, of course Amazon's search feature isn't too intuitive, or I'm just not good at it. It would have been nice if the site I saw this on posted a link. Not that I'm interested, but I know others are. Also it gives me hope, now that we know this isn't a SDCC exclusive, hopefully if Hasbro is offering something for SDCC, it will be something of interest to me.

On the one hand, I kinda want to get the Dead Prime just because it's a decent figure and I haven't gotten standard Earthrise Prime, but on the other I feel like it was a waste because it's just G1 Prime, but dead. Maybe if it hadn't been named Alternate Universe I'd be less annoyed, but it's still such a weird way to market his corpse, especially as an Amazon Prime Day exclusive

Welp, just pre-ordered Gothimus Prime from this Amazon wishlist. It says July 15th is the ship date but I thought Prime day was in September. Guess I will find out in about 28 days or so...

I'm not gonna lie that IF there is a good other repaint of ER Optimus I'd be interested to get it but I already got the Siege Optimus Prime and the matching Nemesis Prime so I just don't see it happen. I'd like a Toxitron but that's probably better served retooling a G2 Laser Rod remake (which I suspect might happen some day, especially since the TR version was a triple changer and loose homage) so that leaves me with what....a Shattered Glass repaint?

Ah well, that's consumerism for ya. As good as ER Optimus is as a mold I'm just not super motivated to replace the Earthrise one. Yes, its pretty much 'the definitive modern Optimus' but I was already fine with Siege. Knowing how things are going maybe we'll even see the next Optimus of the trilogy be even better or just as good as a season 1-styled 1984 Optimus.

But seriously what else can they repaint the ER version as beside Shattered Glass or Nemesis Prime?

Honestly this is a dated trend I don't expect Hasbro/Takara to go down again. Meh screw it, I'm still skipping on Earthrise Optimus. Look I know its good but the previous one was already so good that it just doesn't feel like a large enough leap and I'm not enough of a GEEWUN guy to want the 1:1 cab.

Honestly the only improvement in him I really like is he got the Matrix inside the chest and can do the opening thing.

Honestly, I'm betting whatever Optimus we get in Part 3 will be another take on Powermaster OP, or G2 Laser Rod (with Scourge and/or Toxitron redecos), or maybe even Machine Wars (as a redeco of a new Thunderclash hopefully) or something else. I can't see Hasbro doing an even better G1 Optimus at retail prices than they've done with Siege and Earthrise.

I am still hoping for at least Nemesis from ER OP, though. I cancelled my preorder for Siege Nemesis because I assumed there'd be a Nemesis from ER OP soon enough.

See, I'd be down for those for a variety of reasons: Powermaster because I skipped the Titans Return one and Laser Rod because a KO if him was my first 'G1' (as in non Beast-era) Transformers as a kid. Machine Wars/Thunderclash I'd be really down because its one more obscure late G1 guy getting made.

However I suspect they will just released a slightly tweaked 1984 Optimus design. Might as well re-relase Earthrise at that point. >:oP
