So it has happened. Mistake or not. And that was over a week ago.
Emerje wrote:I'm more surprised their store had a working scanner than them being on clearance. The two stores I've been to have had the scanners disabled to keep people from touching them.
Best I can tell my local Target has never gotten either exclusive in stock. I signed up for stock notices and all I've gotten is a couple false notices of the Seekrs being online (as others have also complained about), but I haven't gotten one of those in weeks. The local store did have to shelves on the endcap tagged for the Seekers (bottom and middle), but no tags for the Clones. I really have no idea what's going on.
The Rainmaker set certainly isn't as popular as the Seeker set is, but I would wager the Micromaster set is as popular and I saw those get restocked a few times so I'm not too concerned. Scalpers aren't really a concern in my area, but competition with other collectors definitely is.
Just checked Target to see where the nearest stock is, 317 miles away, these guys aren't available in all of New England right now.

Thats what I keep trying to tell myself, and I am usually the guy playing that reassuring song, but the Rainmakers also kept their shelf tags for that entire time, as far as I recall. But the shelf tag is gone, and another store is already clearancing out the Clone two pack, hence my concern
There's literally no way the clones pack is already going clearance, I won't believe it until I see the receipt; back on track, just keep up due diligence, browse the web page for it everyday, check the availability at every store you're willing to drive to, try to get it as an in-store pick-up if available, the earlier in the morning you do it, the higher the likelihood of getting it

Well I am Australian. It's kinda what we're known for.

Are you having any problems with the shuttle booster assembly tabbing in properly? Mine just won't stay tabbed. Feels like something is either warped or mis-molded.
Also in base mode, the pegs that hold the shuttle down to the Lynx section don't quite fit right, and over time the pressure causes the shuttle to slide up off the pegs. Kind of a bummer since this is the main connection point. Anybody having any issues there?
Other than those two little issues, I'm loving this figure! When I was a kid I thought he was the dumbest toy I had ever seen. In my old age, I've gained a real appreciation for derp and dumb.

Yeah, I think that little tail fin tab is the only thing holding it together. That and gravity.Hellscream9999 wrote:Cobotron wrote:Hey Roddy, Hellscream, and anyone who has Sky Lynx...

It's tricky getting shuttle to tab into brick, you should be able to see if it's warped with a flashlight I think, it takes me a few tries to get it; and yeah the shuttle base mode connection is not very good, Thew spilled shuttle a few times, so I just make sure that nothing bumps it, but there is a tab at the base of the tail fin that connects to the ramp that helps a bunch

yeah, only problem on mine is the front leg thigh ratchets aren't the tightest
What about the whole booster assembly tabbing into the shuttle itself. i.e.the back door that closes off the accordion tail pieces. That's working ok on yours?

o.supreme wrote:I noticed a couple reviewers has issues with the shuttle in base mode so I was concerned, I posted about it a few weeks before I got Skylynx. But my fears were remedied, as you just really have to fit it in properly, unless some may actually have defective ones. Mine was able to tab in fairly securely.
oh and I just got shipping notice on Doubledealer form Amazon, should arrive Sunday. Now if I can just find that pesky elusive Slitherfang.

o.supreme wrote:dang...too bad Slitherfang doesn't have his own DPCI...I've seen a few Rung's (something I thought id never say) so I know hes been in stores in my area, but the fans and or scalpers here seem to know what to go for.

Lol, that would have been less embarrassing as what they are currently doing. The three in the back are background dancers for diva Rung in the front. Tried to make the Rung from the spoiler pack look like he was laying down but he looks more like he fell.

I got what you were going for.
Diva Rung: Aronjlove, I want you to draw me like one of your French girls!
I haven't tried the launch setup yet, but in shuttle mode mine works fine, it tabs in seamlessly.Cobotron wrote:Hey Roddy, Hellscream, and anyone who has Sky Lynx...

Besides Scorponok and the Coneheads, Snapdragon is the only other figure I need to get. I always thought that he and Apeface went together, so when I read that some collectors got one but not the other, or get one in place of the other, it kinda baffles me a bit. I know everyone has their own way of collecting, I just always thought of those 2 as a team, since they're both Horrorcons.M. Spector wrote:Last night I had a very helpful Targét employee fish Snapdragon out of the back for me! Titans Return is what got be back into TF's so the headmaster gimmick is wonderful as is it's intergration into the kaiju mode. As for the rest of the figure I really do dig him, all the joints are mad tight and both modes fold away super cleanly. If I had to gripe it would be that he really doesn't have another spot for his guns in robot mode, but thats not a deal breaker by any means. Happily recommend him, a massive step up from Apeface and I'm glad I passed on him for this guy, any problems with the jet mode being incomplete or brick like Apes has been solved here

ShadowBlaze wrote:Clones are indeed being clearanced. I saw them in-store for the first time on July 20th and nabbed a pack for the regular retail price of $24.99. Went back to the same store on the 25th and saw them marked down about seven bucks. Returned to the same store again on the 30th...and now all of them have clearance tags marked at 50% off. I'm actually kind of irked about it. I do still have my receipt, but I doubt they do price adjustments on clearance items.
