Well, Amazon has shipped out my Galactic Odyssey set #3, the Autobot Clones. They're to arrive tomorrow. That'll be the first Galactic Odyssey set I receive, but it's certainly not the first I ordered. I'm waiting still on Ratchet and Lifeline. Distribution has been an absolute mess this year.

Got mine last night. It is weird that they came before Ratchet.

Same here with the clones, mine showed up Monday. The box is pretty cool, with the full map showing and the Galactic Odyssey planets highlighted. No clue what's up with distribution though, you'd think they'd get released in order of reveal but whatever.

I mean, reveal dates and release dates don't necessarily have anything to do with each other? Did the preorder release dates change?

I understand being frustrated by "I can't get this thing" and "I can't get this thing as soon as everyone else can," but this sounds like "I can't get this in my hands now." That's not the same thing.

Eh, it's more like I'd like to get stuff in the order I ordered it. I'm not dying because I can't get hold of a toy.

Unfortunately the Prowl and Ironhide set I pre-ordered has now been pushed back to early January. I guessed a delay was on the cards because the tracking info was still saying it hadn't been shipped all the way up to the projected arrival date, I just wish it wasn't as far off as January.

Fortunately I managed to get Grapple this week, he's pretty good in both modes and I like his claw accessory. Plus he adds a nice unique colour to my Autobot line-up (I have no other orange Transformers)

Unfortunately while I was transforming Grapple from crane to robot one of the pegs that tab into the robot feet snapped off. This was before I knew the snapping pegs were a common problem with the mould.

Unfortunately while I was transforming Grapple from crane to robot one of the pegs that tab into the robot feet snapped off. This was before I knew the snapping pegs were a common problem with the mould.

Yeah, it really sucks, same thing happened to me when he first came out. At least he is still plentiful on the shelves around me, so exchanging him should be pretty easy. If you get a replacement, then the first thing you'll want to do is sand down the pegs that go into the bottom of his feet for vehicle mode.

As it looks now, I'll be getting Ratchet and the Paradon medic before Ironhide and Prowl.

Ouch. You could try and get a replacement, or you could do a repair with Krazy Glue. Definitely sand or file the peg down a bit.

Okay, it's been pointed out to me what the Botropolis space shuttle Micromasters are based on, deco-wise, and boy is it super obscure!

Like, not even "Japanese G1" obscure, but "Universe 2003 Big Lots/CVS Pharmacy exclusive" obscure!

Their deco is based on Universe Storm Jet, the Hasbro redeco of the 1992 Japanese Sixwing space shuttle component Micromaster Raker.

How incredibly Random. Who even remembers that release?

The European folk at the very least: the Micromaster Six-Combiner redecos were general retail there and quite plentiful. Look under the Energon/Cybertron lines, as Universe 2003 was not a thing there.

And because they were sold in the Energon and Cybertron lines in Europe, the four Micromaster Six-Combiner teams were later declared to be Unicron Trilogy characters, having all originally been Mini-Cons who were upgraded by Dr. Jones into something new called "Micromasters", now able to Powerlinx together six at a time thanks to Dr. Jones attempting to reverse engineer Maximus combiner technology (as in, the tech used by Superion Maximus, Bruticus Maximus, and Constructicon Maximus).

Now, anyone who still has a Mini-Con collection can add these 24 Micromasters to it if they wanted to.

So I was messing around with my Battle Masters since I got Fangtron with my Spoiler Box yesterday, and Soundbarriers right leg broke clean off . Fortunately he is easy to replace at the moment, but I'm am very concerned now for when I eventually get Shieldron.

That is a very common problem with Soundbarrier, all because of the translucent plastic of his body; the only opaque pieces are his arms and legs. It's so common, it made it into the Selects Manga

We can only hope Sheeldron will be all opaque... or doesn't do anything at Mach speed.

While Fangtron isn't clear plastic, the early reviews I've seen of Shieldron and Enerax both appear to be clear yellow. Enerax shouldn't be too bad,but now Im definitely going to be extra careful with Shieldron.

I was trying to give Sunstreaker a weapon, and this was as close as I got to success. Didn't work out. So Sunstreaker stands with no weapon, just a model

I think a resin clone of Hoist's weapon, painted silver, would work nicely for him.

The problem with that though would be the lack of alt-mode storage if you care about that type of thing. Earthrise has been stingy with the 5mm ports compared to Siege and Sunstreaker only has the one on top for the turbo(?) and two weirdly placed ones behind that, which are the side ports from the forearms.

That's why i liked the micromasters as partners, they wouldn't need storage in alt mode. But it didn't work out, so no need to worry.

For what its worth, I like using the green missile tank guy buy himself as a weapon, it works really well

Well the deluxes that came into one of my local Targets was wave 2,not wave 3 as I predicted, but they still sold out within a couple days. Also very strange was an Astotrain in Siege packaging, along with ER ones. I had never seen one in person before. I wonder if it got mixed in a case accidentally...??
