Skritz wrote:See, I'd be down for those for a variety of reasons: Powermaster because I skipped the Titans Return one and Laser Rod because a KO if him was my first 'G1' (as in non Beast-era) Transformers as a kid. Machine Wars/Thunderclash I'd be really down because its one more obscure late G1 guy getting made.
However I suspect they will just released a slightly tweaked 1984 Optimus design. Might as well re-relase Earthrise at that point.

A BAPE army camo deco would be freaking sweet.

Indeed, moddafokka!
Because Bing/Google suck, that's all I could find for the classic mold.
And MP-10 is even more ridiculous.
Skritz wrote:Unlike the Seekers I'd argue this list is really just five characters over ten repaints, as all Optimus/Convoy are the same guy, as are Nemesis/Black Convoy and the two Magnus variation.

I agree with you, I think the more obscure characters need some attention, whether they had toys or not before. I'm honestly tired of Optimus and Megatron, but I know they can't be left out even for 1 line, which is why I was hoping Hot Rod and Grimlock would get a rest in this trilogy. Give their spots to some other figures that need updating. Personally, I'd love to see the Firecons in part 3, as well as their counterparts the Sparkabots.Skritz wrote:I'M pretty **** hyped for Snapdragon but anyone who has known my post for a while know that as soon as I came back here in 2017-ish during Titans Return I kept banging on about Apeface and Snapdragon and then complained endlessly during POTP and Siege until Apeface popped out of nowhere. Horrorcons are my kind of weird, 'obscure G1 crap'. However it isn't surprising I like them, given my love of triple changers and transmetals.
william-james88 wrote:We got some more news for the upcoming Transformers Alternate Universe Optimus Prime release. Firstly, I am referring to the grey redeco of Earthrise Optimus Prime, which references Optimus dying in the 1986 film. Firstly, through the Amazon wish list trick we can now see that the release date will be July 15, which is Prime day this year. @chrisrtxv on Twitter posted what they see on their Amazon wishlist, there is on actual link to the product page right now though.
We also have images of how the toy will come packaged with a cardboard box of Optimus' chest windows with reflections of his friends surrounding his death bed. Those image come from Toy Malaysia on Facebook. The group is private but the images have been reflected below.

Rodimus Prime wrote:Was it ever determined why this was named Alternate Universe Prime? I mean, if the Siege figures are based on the 84 cast, that means they represent the cartoon, and the movie is in the cartoon universe, which means Prime dying happened in the same universe, not an alternate one.
I think you hit the nail right on the head here.Sentinel_Primal wrote:Probably because it's toughter to market Sleep Mode and Dead Body Optimus Prime. Especially as a retailer exclusive. Or they want to avoid spoilers for a 35 year old movie
