Supposedly that figure is stuck with Amazon since it was originally their exclusive. They could probably modify it like they did for Target's Buzzworthy release, but they're probably willing to wait for the rights to expire than change the mold again.

This mold seems to always be an exclusive in some way regardless of who its released as.
Barricade, Bluestreak, Silverstreak, Both Prowls. Only Smokescreen was a wide release if I'm not mistaken.
You're thinking of Siege Smokescreen, which was a Selects release. Earthrise Smokescreen was normal mass retail.-Kanrabat- wrote:Overcracker wrote:Emerje wrote:sonnyprowl wrote:Earthrise Prowl would have been better I think they are just sleeping in the factory Completely forgot that they made it in an earth set

Smokescreen was a Select, making it not that widespread.![]()
Speaking of which, I miss these random repaints in brown boxes.

Selects isn't dead, Trypticon is next, but the brown boxes are done, they're doing the printed black boxes now.
Emerje
No one has said it's becoming Titans-only. Trypticon is just the first release of the new packaging style for Selects.-Kanrabat- wrote:Emerje wrote:-Kanrabat- wrote:Speaking of which, I miss these random repaints in brown boxes.

If Select is only for Titans, it's more dead than alive. Still, I'll take what I can get.

The most recent Selects, in reverse order of release (meaning newest to oldest) were the Go-Bots 3-pack, the Autobot 5-pack, Antagony, Guardian Robot, Magnificus, DK-3 Beaker, toy colors Cyclonus, and DK-2 Guard.-Kanrabat- wrote:Sabrblade wrote:No one has said it's becoming Titans-only. Still, the latest Selects have all been Titans for a while. Unless those deluxe and Movie box sets are Selects too?

The 3-pack and 5-pack were last year, during Legacy United.-Kanrabat- wrote:Sabrblade wrote:The most recent Selects, in reverse order of release (meaning newest to oldest) were the Go-Bots 3-pack, the Autobot 5-pack, Antagony, Guardian Robot, Magnificus, DK-3 Beaker, toy colors Cyclonus, and DK-2 Guard.-Kanrabat- wrote:Sabrblade wrote:No one has said it's becoming Titans-only. That was over the last... 4 years? 5?
I'm losing count in my old age.
But one thing is sure, the releases are way less frequent than when they first began.

Yes. It was a trilogy. Just like the War For Cybertron Trilogy and the Prime Wars Trilogy were.-Kanrabat- wrote:Sabrblade wrote:

Wait... Legacy is only 3 years old.
Damn.
Time go fast, but not THAT fast.

...I don't have it anymore, I'd have to remake it.
-Kanrabat- wrote:The chart have already been pulled some 6 posts back. It resulted in around 2 Legacy Selects releases a year, which are way less than in the Siege/Earthrise days.
Still, if we break down the box-sets into individual releases, it would have been around the same amount. And if we cheat and count the BWBB sets as "Selects", that would be even more.

It's cheating, but the increase in Target and Walmart exclusives did have an affect on the Selects line. For example the Walmart exclusive Legacy Beasts Sandstorm, Buzzsaw and Nightprowler were originally going to be Selects releases before Walmart got them. I'm sure there's a bunch of times where Walmart had something planned for Selects and just used it to pad an exclusive series (like Velocitron Road Hauler probably was).

The Legacy Beasts? Those things shelf-warmed for a year and a half. Walmart couldn't get rid of them.-Kanrabat- wrote:Emerje wrote:-Kanrabat- wrote:The chart have already been pulled some 6 posts back. Oh yeah those too. But they are exclusives and depending of your area, could be a real pain to find.
