Thrust was one of the best, just because of those VTOL turbines. Glad there's going to be an Earthrise version. Windblade was just a copycat of Thrust .

I guess this means we'll be seeing versions of Dirge and Ramjet using this mold. No way Hasbro is going to pass up THAT opportunity.

Now I want to make a custom of a R63 version of Thrust using a Windblade mold.

You're right, and I'm not abstaining from buying this as some sort of protest. It's just the fact that this is basically a toy of his character, and the thought of the guy just raises my blood pressure. Between the way he treats people and his zealous support of a cult that scams its followers and launches coordinated attacks against anyone that dare speak out against them, it would feel wrong for me to put this in my house.

I understand and can see how having the figure could be unpleasant if the info lingers in your mind while it's around in your collection. (sorry if that's worded weird)

As long as Cyclonus's legs extend, Thats a sure buy from me.
I'd hope for a Galvatron and Scourge too. It'd be nice to have all three in the same line, With the same aesthetic.
TR Scourge wasn't bad, Don't get me wrong, But the whole aesthetic of that line seemed weird to me.
TR Galvatron, On the other hand.. Oh-ho-ho.. Don't even get me started on that..

Yeah... I won't be buying a Maverick Transformer. Tom Cruise was an utter nightmare to my friends on the TR and servicemembers stationed on land. To makes matters even worse, the Navy covered for him so as not to injure his fragile little ego. So, thanks but no thanks.

I don't see why Tom Cruise should impact the figure, why not just see it as just a jet Transformer, it's not like Ectotron where it looks explicitly themed?

This is a bit different though. The toy is named Maverick. He's more similar to the Star Wars Transformers, where they were mechanized versions of the main characters. Again, whoever wants him, I hope you really enjoy it. Me? I'd be tempted to punch his smug face every time I looked at him. Actually... maybe I should pick this up after all.

The sad thing is that I kinda fall into that category thanks to my love of TFA and as a result plan to buy Cliffjumper, Hubcap, Bug Bite, Bumblebee, and any other characters that use that mold because of how often the Mini-Bot model was used in crowd filler shots

Man, Bug Bite would be an awesome Selects figure, no way I'd pass that up. I mean if they can make everyone who ever had the Bee body, they should!

HasTak was gracious enough to give us most of the original female Autobots, I would love to see a push to really make every character they can. And I mean ALL of them, namely the obscure characters.

And while the Top Gun x Transformers crossover is definitely kinda random, I love the continued emphasis on crossovers with any franchise that has iconic vehicles. I really hope that keeps going, even if it's only in comic form like Tf x Terminator.

Call me crazy but I would literally die for a TF x Resident Evil or TF x Doctor Who line/comic series.

The only excitement I get out of these other guys is that Thrust implies an incoming Ramjet, the only of the Coneheads I like (although if he's in a two-pack with Dirge as some have suggested, I would not be upset).

AMEN about Sins of the Wreckers. It shows that a character doesn't have to majorly and prominently feature in a TV/Internet show to be deemed worthy of a good toy. All of the IDW series showed us that, especially even when the comic influenced toy lines that (in and of themselves) had no official relation to the comics. Lookin at you CW Ultra Magnus, Tailgate, Swerve, and most recently mother-effin Rung! (not to mention the exclusive Decepticon Impactor's IDW head) Honestly, (in just my opinion) there would be very little interest in Hubcap if it weren't for fiction like SotW.

Which would bring me to my whole spiel about the reboot comics, but that's for another thread.

Although considering WFC inclusion of micromasters/battlemasters, it wouldn't be surprising (and would be awesome), if they added a proper targetmaster combination feature on characters that WERE targetmasters. But it could be like everyone else is saying, that the test model is using CHUG parts for the sake of test modelling.

I don't like the look of that WideClonus. The eight Universe Cyclonus variants that stand on my desk, make it look like something from Rescue Bots or Cyberverse. Which is fine, if that is the series that figure is going to.

Meanwhile now that scaling, is a lot better. Good to see all four City Bots will be roughly the same size this time.

Maverick is fine and all, but I'm really just looking forward to it hopefully getting a Hooligan repaint. Doesn't even need to be retooled.




About Cyclonus' legs, they're fully extended, but the lower part of the thighs are purple and his knees and hips are both bent making them look shorter than they are.



BTW, what are the chances Hasbro has a premolded IDW head for Cyclonus for a darker repaint, maybe for Selects?

Who knows? Ectotron didn't exactly coincide with the new Ghostbusters film. That seems to have vanished, news-wise, like everything else movie related.
