He's not as G1 as I'd hope, he's not as G1 as Siege Sideswipe was, & that was not strictly G1 either. There aren't enough call-backs to the G1 toy in bot-mode detail & color-wise, there's no red shoulders, his weaponry is inadequate, and...oh there it is! His car-mode has NO CHROME SPOILER, THAT'S IT!! He's like a cat missing it's tail, & for some reason it seem more egregious on him than on Sideswipe. A 3P will have to accessorise him & ToyHax will need to add retro detail & color!

Yeah, Sunstreaker without his 'bling' is always noticeable but they're not going to do chrome these days. However, get hold of a Molotow Liquid Chrome pen and either draw or paint the desired bits and you'll have some nice shininess. ;) Don't forget to lightly use some 2000 grit sandpaper to prep the plastic beforehand if youre nervous about the paint flaking off later.

Chances are he'll get some filler kits later on and I'd be surprised if he didnt get some kits with weapons, spoiler and possibly some beefier air intakes.

Prime vs prime got arcee and sounded like he has the rest of wave 2.

I can not wait to get this arcee and have her with my wreckers collection, but I do think they could have done a bit more to integrate the kibble in robot mode.

I would use a T30 Arcee with the Wreckers, for the swords if nothing else.

That is the version that I want, but the few times that I have looked it up on ebay it is going for crazy prices. For now, the ER one will do fine with my wreckers.

Greetings Seibertronians! Fellow Seibertron user, LinaNui, has dropped us a line to tell us that Transformers toy reviewer and also fellow Seibertron user, PrimeVsPrime, has done a video review of the forthcoming Wave 2 Deluxe Class Transformers Earthrise Arcee! This is a new take on Generation 1 design Arcee, and up to now her design has brought mixed feelings to Transformers fans with how much her alt mode is parts formed. She's also faced comparisons not only with the Thrilling 30 toy, but the Transformers Cyberverse Deluxe Arcee that's also coming soon.

Check out the review below to hear PrimeVsPrime's thoughts and see if they chime with, or even change yours.

What do you think about this review? Will this Arcee be gracing your collection? Let us know in the Energon Pub and stay tuned to Seibertron for all the latest news and reviews!

I'm getting the Earthrise version as I wasn't collecting Generations when T30 came out (although i did get the Springer) and with the back of the car removed she looks just fine in robot mode.

Greetings Seibertronians! The video reviews are coming in fast! Fellow Seibertron user, -WonkoTheSane-, has let us know that YouTube toy reviewer, Jon Toys Reviews, has uploaded a new video review of Wave 2 Deluxe Class Transformers Earthrise Allicon!
Thats not all, fellow Seibertron user, LinaNui, let us know that another YouTube toy reviewer has uploaded a video review for Allicon. This time round it's TonTon Reviews who is giving this loyal minion a chance in the spotlight.

This is the first time that this character has ever recieved an official toy following its debut in the 1986 Transformers animated movie. The Earthrise toyline (like their original depiction on the aforementioned movie and Season 3 of Sunbows G1 toon) has them affiliated with the Quintessons.

Check out the embedded reviews below.

Don't know where you're located but BBTS has it together with T30 Chromia for $30. But the Arcees are similar overall, so I'd imagine one is fine. Plus it's easier for me to justify buying new versions of old toys I already have than old versions of new toys I'm going to get.

I am surprisingly underwhelmed by this Arcee. Her vehicle mode looks like a piece of candy. I'm glad I picked up the T30 Arcee. I will be honest, I'm still tempted to grab this Arcee. I might want to see the Takara version first to be honest. She is pretty well articulated so there's that. It bothers me that the paint on her mid-section and waist doesn't go all the way around to the back. I don't get why Hasbro does that.

That last shot really does sway me a little more to the "maybe" area rather than a hard no. I wonder if the rest of her backpack can be removed.

I thought that since they merged a year or two back, there wasn't going to be any deviations between Takara and Hasbro's TFs?

HasTak’s “unified brand cohesion” initiative; in other words there will be no differences between Hasbro and Takara releases, and Masterpiece and Selects figures that would normally be only seen in Japan is carried over as Hasbro Pulse exclusives and not imports, making them more widely available.

No, I'm extremely aware of that, I was wondering what supposed deviations they were referring to.

Fires of Inferno apparently hasn't gotten with the program yet. Look:

News flash: The "Flashier Takara version" thing died with the start of PotP.

Fires_Of_Inferno wrote:She is pretty well articulated so there's that. It bothers me that the paint on her mid-section and waist doesn't go all the way around to the back. I don't get why Hasbro does that.
Because they've never exactly been generous with regard to paint budgets on regular-release figures, and with a limited paint budget the deco artists tend to skimp on out-of-view areas.

Fires_Of_Inferno wrote:That last shot really does sway me a little more to the "maybe" area rather than a hard no. I wonder if the rest of her backpack can be removed.
I admit I'm somewhat warming up because of the articulation, but that lack of the T30 version's altmode integration still bugs me. I hope someone makes a headmaster conversion kit for her.

As for removing the rest of the backpack? Probably. But the problem with taking it all off is that would remove Arcee's signature behind-the-shoulder front fenders.

There's zero difference between the Takara version and the American (or wherever) version since the brand unification.

You mean.... they decided to combine their lines so that things will be smoother overall, and they decided to go with the WORSE paint applications? So the only hope for better figures is actually going to be 3rd party? BLLLLLAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRGH

I'd also point out that Takara's prices were ridiculous. People are complaining about a $50 voyager with extra parts, but would happily shell out $40 for a prettier deluxe. Besides, Hasbro's paint apps are good enough. At least they stopped using stickers (personally was never against it, but I know a lot of people were)
