I love this series. The gimmick doesn’t affect every figure that doesn’t need it (looking at you, PotP Combiner gimmick). The ones it does affect are a lot of fun and have a ton of ways to use it and the ones that aren’t are just well engineered fun. Cog is a little funky and has a couple loose joints because of all his limbs separating but finding new ways to weaponize him is a lot of fun. Sideswipe is just fantastic, I missed regular, non-combining deluxes so much. He’s sleeker and I want to say almost better engineered than the Masterpiece, I have literally zero issues with him. Can’t wait to get Megatron, Optimus, Hound and another Skytread that works properly.

It worked for Amazon, so other retailers since have gone, why not?

I just found Cog and bought him. Love the bot mode and the individual weapon modes, but the official vehicle mode is bad, the whole silver front end floats off the ground because it's dragging undercarriage.

I want a better vehicle mode. Aaaaaaaaand go.

Finally! I've struck gold! The FOURTH Target I checked on my way home tonight had Siege Deluxes and Battle Masters! It was a different Target than the one where I found the Micro Masters earlier this week. Now, I just need to find the Voyagers (and the Leaders, but those don't seem to be in circulation at all yet).

Initially, I didn't see them on the shelf, because they were NOT with the normal Transformers section. They were in one of those weird short endcap things close by. They also had a bunch of that Studio Series Bumblebee 2-Pack. I might have to go back tomorrow and check a few stores again just in case they also have special endcaps for Siege. The Micro Masters I found in a different Target earlier this week were in the proper Transformers section, though. To all others who have found Siege figures so far in Target stores, where were they located? In the normal Transformers spot or in a different spot?

What if you detach Gasket (the 6-wheel car) from Grommet (the half-track)?

Siege Leader Class Shockwave and Ultra Magnus are up for preorder on BBTS, estimated for December. They're individualy listed for $54.99 or as a case of one of each for $99.99. I ordered Shockwave myself, I like my Combiner Wars IDW style Magnus just fine.

Well, turns out I had them connected wrong, basically just laying down robot. Form the 2 separate vehicles and then use the small tab on Grommet to attach to Whosits. I usually don't read the instructions for TFs, to give my aging brain a little workout; occasionally is not so good.

Thanks for the input!

You get Gasket and Grommet, which is how I prefer to do Cog's alt mode.

Glad to! I had to run out the door before I could take pics, but it's not looking good for the Titan Masters and Cog. There are no pegs for them, of course, but no gaps or spaces that they fit well into.

Pics later.

I'm not suprised as with Siege there's two lines in between Cog and titan masters, so the designers probably didn't see much point in making an allowance for the interaction. Also they probably thought people would be too busy adding Cog onto other figures

Finally had my first Siege Sighting today...as it appears others have as well, at the same Target store that Micromasters were reportedly first purchased at. I know there re no technical release dates, but today being December 1st, and all the mass sightings seems to be a little too coincidental.

I almost missed them though, they just had the typical BB, SS, Cyberverse and PotP leftovers in the regular TF shelf space. The Siege stuff was at the end of a completely different aisle :BANG_HEAD: , along with PotP OpOp (however there were 3 PotP Rodimus' in the regular spot..??)

I picked up Cog, but they had all Micromasters, Battlemasters, and Deluxe. I was so excited, I didn't even check to see if they had voyagers. Also it was really crowded and I wanted to get out as quickly as possible. i know bad my part for not being thorough.

Picked up Skytread, Hound, Cog, Storm Cloud/Visper, and the Battle Masters. Wasn't planning on getting Hound since I have the Universe version, but he looked great in person so I did. He's easily the best of the bunch and is my favorite Deluxe figure in a long time. Skytread has a nice robot mode, but his vehicle modes are not good. I don't think there is any way to make his gimmick truly look good as vehicles at the Deluxe size. Maybe as a Voyager it'd be possible, but it certainly isn't as a Deluxe. I do applaud the designers for making a nice looking figure that still manages to resemble the ugly pile of crap that the original toy was. Cog is pretty unique and fun to fiddle with. The Battle Masters work as intended, but they're too expensive as are the Micromasters. I might get some more Battle Masters later on depending on how they look and who they pair with, but the Micromasters are too expensive for what you get. It was fun to have Universe Storm Cloud wield himself as a weapon though.

I had time this evening to play with some of my new Siege figures. I've opened up the Deluxes (minus Hound, didn't buy him) and the Micromasters so far. They're all great fun. I'll post some more in-depth reviews later, but for now, I can say I'm pleased. All of the issues I've heard of so far, such as problems with Flywheel's tank mode tabbing together and holding the tank cannon securely and Cog having a loose grip in his right fist, are true of my figures too. Still they're fun and look great on my display shelves, especially standing next to their intended partners.

I did find out something interesting about Sideswipe the hard way, though. My copy came with a bit of silver paint slop on the car hood/robot mode chest. Hearing about how a lot of the "battle damage" paint can be removed with some isopropyl alcohol and a Q-tip, I tried to fix the error myself. I thought the hood was just red plastic, but it turns out that it's red plastic PAINTED OVER WITH RED PAINT! Why!? I ended up getting rid of the paint splotch and also rubbing away a good portion of red paint around the offending spot. Now my Sideswipe has a weird shiny spot on the side of his hood where the plastic underneath has been exposed. The red paint over the top gives it more of a matte look. I'm not sure why Hasbro bothered to waist paint like that. Maybe it was for overall color consistency with some of the smoky translucent plastic? It's still a shame, because I think the natural shine of the smooth red plastic makes for a better looking figure overall. I'll be on the hunt tomorrow for another Sideswipe.

Grommet holds a Titan Master pretty well, just kinda wedged in there. The Prime Master atop Gasket is just balanced up there on what appears to be a very public toilet. *shrug*
