Well, the Starscream carrying Megatron's gun mode thing can at least be excused as Megs shrinking by a smaller amount. But yeah. And of course there's the bit from "Carnage in C-Minor" where Magnus and the Constructicons were drawn in toy size.. And Hoist driving Huffer is one of the most hilarious breaks XD

Returning to the idea of "good enough", that's why I'd want a Titan Sky Lynx. He was huge in the show, so it works from that angle, but more than that... since he was Predaking's main rival among the Autobots it would be good to have a Generations version of him that PotP Predaking can't just sit on

He's in proper scale as long as he's a head taller than Prime, I think we're all going to be fine. I might even sleep at night.

And the scale in WFC is about bot mode, not vehicle mode so all the crazy stuff that happened in the G1 cartoon with Transformers riding Transformers doesn't matter.

Why would that crazy stuff matter anyway? It broke the robot AND vehicle mode scales and frankly reality (HOIST. DRIVING. HUFFER.) whether you go by the toy sizes or the cartoon's own scale charts.

Like, I'm really hyped for a more G1-looking Magnus with a separate cab robot and that can carry more cars.. I suppose if it does turn out that way I could get him anyway and make or hope a 3rd party makes a larger, G1-based trailer. And who knows, maybe we'll get a Leader Rodimus Prime that works like the G1 Rodimus Prime toy either as a surprise 4th Leader in this line or as a Leader in the next line.

I'm finally getting around to reviewing Siege toys so here's the Battlemasters and Micromasters. Interesting note, on the Air Strike team, there is a way to attach the sword effect from Lionizer onto the combined sword mode.

I recall reading that Magnus's trailer is not big enough for Deluxe cars but supports Micromasters only. I think it was during a Comic-Con interview, but I don't remember the specifics. Third party might be your best bet, though it still might not scale well.

Well, that's what I was getting at with the part I bolded. A Leader Rodimus Prime that was built like the original would end up with a Voyager robot.

And yeah, Will, PotP Roddy works better as a Super!Roddy of sorts (see also how huge he is compared to TR Galvatron). It's just that he's the only real non-MP update of Rodimus Prime we've had so far (Titrod doesn't count).

Yeah, Power of the Primes Rodimus Prime is not going to be in scale with any Leader Class Ultra Magnus figure, unfortunately. We would need to revive the Supreme class or something to get an Ultra Magnus that fits in scale with any PotP Leader figure. What might work is using just the "Hot Rod" portion of Rodimus Prime from PotP as your Rodimus Prime. It's quite a bit bigger than a contemporary Deluxe Class figure, but not quite big enough to be a contemporary Voyager. He'd scale pretty well with Voyager Siege Optimus Prime and Leader Siege Ultra Magnus, I'd bet.

Rodimus is a very stressed bot, given he has to walk in Optimus' footsteps. Can't blame him for getting a face lift if the stress ate up his face and prematurely aged him.

Thing is though, those worry lines are one of the primary visual distinctions in robot mode. Those and the more severe chin (which results in the Classics figure looking a bit too Rodimus Prime-ish in bot mode).

I just had a crazy idea for what the Leader Prime could be. What if it was similar to the RiD Prime? It'd make sense because the trailer formed the back half of the vehicle mode and wasn't too much of a change when he went supermode. Plus the base Prime was the standard look for Prime in the show

There is a good argument made about how Optimus would have died anyway and Hot Rod was the only one brave enough to try to help him instead of stand back and watch like everyone else.

Seriously, I was at Target just after opening Black Friday and they still have the same stuff on the shelves today, except someone moved all of the Dragonstorm figures over to the Jurassic Park section. Probably hoping nobody would notice and put something new in their place.
