Returning to the idea of "good enough", that's why I'd want a Titan Sky Lynx. He was huge in the show, so it works from that angle, but more than that... since he was Predaking's main rival among the Autobots it would be good to have a Generations version of him that PotP Predaking can't just sit on

Sweet dreams.

And the scale in WFC is about bot mode, not vehicle mode so all the crazy stuff that happened in the G1 cartoon with Transformers riding Transformers doesn't matter.

That catalog photo is not entirely reassuring re: my fears about Siege Magnus being shorter than PotP Rodimus. Hm... Like, I'm really hyped for a more G1-looking Magnus with a separate cab robot and that can carry more cars.. I suppose if it does turn out that way I could get him anyway and make or hope a 3rd party makes a larger, G1-based trailer. And who knows, maybe we'll get a Leader Rodimus Prime that works like the G1 Rodimus Prime toy either as a surprise 4th Leader in this line or as a Leader in the next line.

I recall reading that Magnus's trailer is not big enough for Deluxe cars but supports Micromasters only. I think it was during a Comic-Con interview, but I don't remember the specifics. Third party might be your best bet, though it still might not scale well.

Magnus will be a small leader and he will be shorter than rodimus prime, which is wht I expected. They werent made to be in scale with eachother. I always found that rodimus too big and bulky anyway.

While I enjoy the figure, scalewise I felt Rodimus would work better in scale as a voyager. Rightly or wrongly, I equated Rodimus and Optimus in height.

I don't have any Siege figures yet, not till 2019, so haven't seen the effect in-hand yet.

Well, that's what I was getting at with the part I bolded. A Leader Rodimus Prime that was built like the original would end up with a Voyager robot.
And yeah, Will, PotP Roddy works better as a Super!Roddy of sorts (see also how huge he is compared to TR Galvatron). It's just that he's the only real non-MP update of Rodimus Prime we've had so far (Titrod doesn't count).

Well, they're not wider than Optimus in Altmode, so he'll probably still be able to carry Siege Deluxe cars even if he wasn't specifically designed for it.
Also, a G1-based trailer in scale with a Voyager-size Ultra Magnus cab would result in a bigger robot mode for certain due to mass and transformation scheme.
In the meantime, if I want an Ultra Magnus in size with PotP Roddy, I can always just use my G1 Mags. Because, well, TFWiki nicknamed him "Honkimus Prime" for a reason.

Yeah, Power of the Primes Rodimus Prime is not going to be in scale with any Leader Class Ultra Magnus figure, unfortunately. We would need to revive the Supreme class or something to get an Ultra Magnus that fits in scale with any PotP Leader figure. What might work is using just the "Hot Rod" portion of Rodimus Prime from PotP as your Rodimus Prime. It's quite a bit bigger than a contemporary Deluxe Class figure, but not quite big enough to be a contemporary Voyager. He'd scale pretty well with Voyager Siege Optimus Prime and Leader Siege Ultra Magnus, I'd bet.

Rodimus Prime got some work done on his face. Don't judge! It's hard to meet the beauty standards of Cybertronian society these days, even for self-identified masculine/male robots!

Rodimus is a very stressed bot, given he has to walk in Optimus' footsteps. Can't blame him for getting a face lift if the stress ate up his face and prematurely aged him.

There is a good argument made about how Optimus would have died anyway and Hot Rod was the only one brave enough to try to help him instead of stand back and watch like everyone else.
The local Target still hasn't gotten Siege stuff in yet.

Patience, one of my local ones got the Battle Masters on the pegs. It's pretty normal for anything new to pop up after Black Friday after older stock has been cleared... Except in my neighbourhood there hasn't been much clearing in the TF department

Seriously, I was at Target just after opening Black Friday and they still have the same stuff on the shelves today, except someone moved all of the Dragonstorm figures over to the Jurassic Park section. Probably hoping nobody would notice and put something new in their place.
