No, but he's an exclusive and those are almost never new molds.

Plus, they hardly ever have a real impact on the main canon.

Punch/Counterpunch. Not saying that Slamdance will definitely be a new mold but potp punch/Counterpunch kind of threw out everything we thought we knew about exclusives.

Nope. When I got Lionizer I was really disappointed about that, especially since that was designed to look like a cannon

^That.

And I still don't understand why people would think Barricade would be based on the G1 version as a Deluxe in a line full of Micromasters. It's clearly going to be a different guy named Barricade to separate it from the original after we were told only the gimmicks of the original figures would be carried over into Siege meaning a Deluxe Micromaster was never on the table.
Though we're going to have to see how they spin that when Slamdance comes out since he'll lack tape modes and be over sized compared to Ravage and Laserbeak.

Wolfman Jake wrote:See? Sideswipe looks great with the right selection of Generations figures! You did worry a bit too much, but I'm glad you've come around and are happy with Siege Sideswipe, ultimately.
Also, am I the only one who's growing to love Power of the Primes Jazz more and more? He started off for me as just combiner fodder. I fully intended to keep using United Jazz for my display instead, but now that he's just way too big, PotP Jazz fills that spot quite well. I had to get a second for my Classics display so I could keep him as a leg for Firestormer simultaneously.
Emerje wrote:Combat Zero wrote:Exactly the same thing as Rook from the Combiner Wars line not being based on the actual G1 Rook?
Not quite. That G1 Rook came some 10 years after G2 Rook and isn't even an original Hasbro creation having been a BotCon Europe exclusive designed by 3H. CW Rook should probably be looked at as the G1 Rook (for modern continuity).

ZeldaTheSwordsman wrote:*shrug* Looking at comparison photos RTS/United Jazz is only half a head taller, which puts him in the same head height category as TR Hot Rod, so I don't think he's that monstrously tall. I actually just ordered one to be my main CHUG Jazz.
Now, I do rather enjoy PotP Jazz and think he's very cool, although I did have to take a Sharpie to a certain decal. But I did ultimately get him more to be "Jazz that combines with Optimus" than as a main Jazz. He's certainly decent in the role, mind you!
