Better keep some plastic bonder ready

They’re just taking the battle damage aesthetic to the next level, jeepers. I know Slamdance ‘shoots himself in the foot’ sometimes but this is ridiculous.

My Red Alert is a tad just a smidge looser in the legs but honestly pretty solid.

I know what you mean about that curse of the second use of the mold but with him it’s not so much the case. Thundercracker will be my second Seeker so I’m really curious to see how it holds up. I love Starscream I’m feeling I won’t be disappointed everyone’s loving the Seekers for the same reasons I am.

I dont think its a second mold use curse, I havent seen that trend. Skythread was the siege deluxe suffering from the most QC issues from the get go, so its no suprise that of all the redecos, its this one that also has issues.

I had to shave down his heel pegs just to get that tank mode to work and it’s still a little eh, you know? He’s otherwise a win though I love how chunky he is and the jet mode is way cool. I reversed his wings and place the long barrel on his back to give him a junior Blitzwing vibe.

Exactly. It’s not mold degradation. It’s privet just a bad batch of red plastic and that spot where it’s breaking is just a really weak spot.

. Something happens twice, it's a red flag, 3 or more times, and it's a trend that needs to be corrected.

I just got Thundercracker yesterday. He's great! The chest panel shows no signs of falling off. I don't have any issues with the figure. At least nothing that can't be fixed with a quarter turn of a screw driver. Slightly loose elbow on one side. No biggie.

I just won’t transform my Slammy. If I ever feel the need to transform a figure into stumpy and dorky looking plane and tank modes, I’ll just use Skytread.

Amazon. I got lucky. I saw he was in stock, but by the time I went to order him, it said August 31st before he'd ship. Next day I was on Amazon again and it said 1-2 days. Cancelled the first order and ordered again. Now he's August 31st again.

I got Skywarp yesterday, and his chest panel is just as prone to popping off as Starscream's, if not more. I have all the other Seekers, and so far, only Starscream and Skywarp have that issue.

I have Red Alert and Ratchet and they're just as good as the original use of the molds if not better like in Ratchet's case. I was giving Hasbro a lot of slack with Slamdance because I liked the blue on Rain Dance, but if they can't even make sure a repaint in a set is 100% then there's a problem. Mine will be here tomorrow so we'll see.

Umm, Eek? I transformed my Slamdance a few times last night and didnt notice any breakage, although there is a hitch in his leg trying to bend his foot, it could be related? Maybe there is flash in a joint and the tension is giving at the soft plastic arounf the metal pin?

On a related note, I am now so torn about G2 Sideswipe. This is my first expsrience with the mold and I *Like* it but I'm not sure I *love* it. I am tempted to sell mine, but I think I want to see if the 3P guys do any Guns and the Bandolier. I wish we knew if there was a Sunstreaker coming for Siege2, I *might* be more inclined to circle back for Swipe then.

I think I'd actually be interested in the Seeker mold if it didn't have the fake F-15 cockpit slapped on the chest/plane rear. That's one thing that's always bugged me about "Cybertronian-mode" designs, the fake Earth-mode chunks slapped on, and "faux-parts" are already something I can't stand. This line seems to avoid that, for the most part.

(On that note, when was the last time we got a G1 Starscream that had an actual cockpit-chest? The Legends figure? And that's not even addressing the chest turbines, which I believe only the Masterpiece ever had actually folding up.) I don't mind Siegescream's chest turbines, since they could be interpreted as engines.

I know I'm nitpicking about a-million-and-a-half times too hard right now, but I wish that the seeker mold chest actually looked like something that could be the rear of a spaceship, even if that's not slavishly G1 enough.

I have literally no idea why I ranted so hard about this, but I'm really picky about G1 Starscreams for some reason.

Just found Siege Jetfire at the larger Walmart in my area, the one I expected it to be at, if any store in my area were to get them. Thanks to Rodimus Prime for the tip to look in the Jurassic Park section ;)^

. This is the same store I've often criticized for going overboard with anti-theft devices (all their reissue Optimus Primes and Siege leaders have them) Oddly enough, Jetfire did not....

This doesn't happen often, but it was a little uncomfortable seeing my wife's eyes widen when she saw the price at checkout, probably should have explained that ahead of time :oops:

.....(I usually do, just somehow forgot...), but that's OK, my work bonus next week should more then compensate

We had a real cockpit chest G1 starscream in the cyberbattalion series from a couple years ago. Plus the combiner starscream uses a real cockpit in combined mode, which I found fun.
