I wouldn't complain normally... you know if we could actually find the exclusives where they should be in stores.
That's not even fair. Wreck-Gar should only just now start showing up. Most Walgreen's exclusives show up in bulk at some point, just like the Clone set which was widely available. You'll have your chance. Wreck-Gar is most likely "Christmas" stock and should be widely available soon.
Prime Target wrote:SIGN ME TF UP BOY! A repaint of Siege Ironhide is all it needs to be. With a lightbar , New head and new medical equipment.
Nemesis Primal wrote:Part of me kinda wants this to be the UW Ratchet released by Hasbro as an exclusive just for the people I know still want one, even though I don't really feel I want or need a combining Ratchet myself, but I feel like it's more likely going to be from Siege Ironhide instead. Guess we don't need to worry about what Ironhide's alternate head tooling is...(as if it were ever a question, really)
I'll have to see what this guy looks like to see if I want him. I'm already intending to grab Ironhide, and I don't like having to justify buying repaints with new heads, but I don't already have a Ratchet figure that I like, so...yeah, it'll depend on what he looks like and what he comes with, really. They had better give him a new weapon though, the field medic doesn't need a rocket launching hammer nor would it really be in character for him to have one.
Also starrhero, I think you might have been confused partially because one or more TF-selling sites, I think at least Robotkingdom, put up preorders for Wreck-Gar towards the start of summer saying he'd start shipping in August, so some people assumed he'd show up at retail around the same time.

I wanrt to ay Wreck Gar showed up in Canada? whee he is an exclusive for someone else (gamestop?) so that may be why folks thought he was out
Wolfman Jake wrote:I wonder how Hasbro will choose to paint up Ratchet's head for this Siege iteration. Will it be a white helmet with a black crest like the original Cartoon? A red helmet with a white crest like the original Marvel comics (and IDW comics)? A white helmet with a red crest like more recent iterations of the character (Animated, Prime, Cyberverse, etc.)? They can't really fall back on the original toy for this, obviously. So many possibilities.

Well I am Australian. It's kinda what we're known for.

I'd love to be wrong!

Honestly, Walgreens exclusive collector toys have not been hard to get, even if you dont have a Walgreens near you. They are the only place in the states Hasbro is selling its stock to so there will be a bunch available. And that means there will be a bunch on the secondary market, to the point of Seibertron stating he couldnt even sell some back at cost.
Its a bigger problems for toys that are not colelctor oriented, like that Cyber Battalion shockwave or Prowl (or even several RID toys that werent exclusive at all). The lack of general interest, means there end up being less online and thus sellers can charge much higher for those interested.
So basically, if you dotn have walgreens near you, just wait a year and go check on e-bay and get him for $25-$30 + shipping
PLUS we know takara is releasing these toys. So like wreck gar, you can simply buy it off amazon japan , eventually.
YoungPrime wrote::-? ..................This is troubling because Walgreen exclusives usually show up around Oct./Nov. of every year. And there's been no info regarding SIEGE Ratchet until now, while Wreck-Gar has been rumored since February which had most people thinking/hoping he'd be a "May Mayhem" figure. The troubling part is that Ratchet might end up being the exclusive TF of Oct/Nov in 2019 knowing Walgreen's crappy track record.
Best case scenario is that this was supposed to be a TRU exclusive and once news hit about them closing down, Hasbro worked something out with Walgreen's at the last minute so we just might see Ratchet at the end of this year while the worse case is to have to wait for him until this time next year.

I'm pretty sure this is just an early hint of next year's Walgreens exclusive. First off, remember this is inside walgreens info and not intended for us to know yet, so it isn't like they are letting us know way too early, we aren't supposed to know yet.
I believe the February Wreck Gar info you are referencing was the package photos from Russia, but we actually knew about him much earlier than that. If I remember correctly, we had a similar walgreens leak about Wreck Gar over 2 years ago. Early enough that he would have been part of CW (just slightly late) instead of PotP. I believe he was going to be part of the Sky Lynx combiner originally.

So as I wrote in the article, you will only see this new Ratchet a year from now for the 2019 holiday season.

It will be something new, no doubt. Trust me, you wouldn't want the UW ratchet to be released in Siege. Hasbro would just make it bumpy and remove the combiner component.

Oh, I agree. I didn't bring up UW Ratchet because I wanted it, I just mentioned him because I know other people on this site have been lamenting Hasbro's use of the CW/UW Ratchet tooling/mold and were hoping it would get a proper release in PotP as an exclusive like this. Hence, it would be cool for those individuals if this WAS that Ratchet, but I highly doubt it is and would personally prefer that it isn't.
