A character I'm surprised we haven't discussed as an entirely new mold for this trilogy who has basically shown in every Transformers incarnation since her creation and is either loved or utterly reviled to no end: Windblade. She was in Generations twice in recent years, in both T30 and TR, she showed up in Rid2015 and in Cyberverse and has basically been mandated by Hasbro to be their new token female heroine at the expense of already-established characters like Arcee.

Anyone want to take bets she'll be there somewhere in the trilogy?

There will definitely be a new Prime and Megatron what do you think their Earth modes will look like?
G2 Megatron maybe?
Powermaster Prime?
Or better yet a whole new Prime since they just did a Powermaster nod in TR.

To my knowledge the only notable or interesting Optimus Prime design we haven't seen remade yet is this:

We discussed Windblade somewhere and her lack of redesign. She is essentially a Fem Bot version of Thrust in design aesthetic. So should the Conehead receive a new mold, I don't think unreasonable she should be a minor retool of him.

There are a couple ALREADY, we really don't need another Prime in SIEGE, at least.

Beyond that the only options are G2 Go-Bot Optimus Prime (unlikely, since they don't really do deluxe Optimus these days) and Machine Wars Optimus (nobody care about Machine War...but comic fans do care about Thunderclash).

This is not the first. They did one before for their Jaba Barge toy which got fan financed and is now selling for more than my monthly mortgage payment on e-bay.

My apologies, I meant to add *Transformers* to that statement. being so focused in my collecting, sometimes I forget Hasbro sells more than just Transformers. ;)

I do remember the Jabba Sail Barge announcement, but, didn't follow it's progress.

I did see online they asked for only 5000 backers at $500 each. I know they exceeded their goal, but not sure exactly how quickly they met it.

Considering all this, it does seem pretty daunting to ask a much smaller fanbase to pay nearly 15% more, and have a minimum of 3000 more participants.

I think the goal could be more easily reached if it had been open to the rest of the world, namely due to the international fanbase. Now I don't really know much of the TF fanbase beyond Japan and the anglosphere but I do know there are fans in Canada, the UK and Australia who could have jumped into this crowdfunding.

Yes, I certainly took that into consideration. Worldwide, it's a done deal, unfortunately a lot of us folks in the US need months to prepare to make a single annual Titan purchase, much less something like this.

I wish I could recall what :TAKARATOMY: stipulations were for the Legends Grand Maximus pre-sale in order to have the custom headmaster (and whatever else was included?). I know that goal was not met, but at least the item got released. Too bad that wasn't open to the rest of the world either. :( .

The sail barge opened a limited amount for availability to Europe (and elsewhere) ages after it funded, that was available through hasbro ebay store and the shipping was stupidly expensive as they only used fed ex (pretty much guaranteed custom charges too). With scalpe...people being able to buy upto 5 of the unicorns each, it will likely reach its goal.
Gotta love hasbro pulses statement as being for the fans which needs a great big asterix to it with the countries it excludes :p my lack of commonsense says I'd spend £500 on this but common sense says its going to be at least £800 to get one.

Transformers War for Cybertron Siege Ratchet Packaging Art

Just located over at Snakasblog is an image of the new packaging art for War For Cybertron Siege Ratchet! We reported on Ratchet's robot mode reveal all the way back in June here along with Bluestreak. The current estimated arrival date is for the Christmas holiday season and he will be exclusive to Walgreens and also EB games in Canada.

No word yet on an exchangeable set of Pharma hands but he does appear to come with a weapon very similar to his G1 incarnation. Will you be picking up this current version of the most iconic of all Transformer medics?

As always enjoy the images and share your view with the Seibertron crew in the forum, and stay tuned to Seibertron for the latest in Transformers news!

And unfortunately this is late I should have added it to the main article but here is the translated text from Snakasblog:
"Ratchet has been added to the character introduction column of Siege on Hasbro's TF official site.

The other characters of wave 3 have been added, but at the moment the only official character for which no official information is available is Ratchet.

What has been published is processed package illustrations, and when you click on it, some data will be displayed, but specific product information has not been posted.

The store registration information is considered to be a Walgreen limited product, but the details are unknown because the official information issued by the maker is not available at this time.

So far, illustrations have been posted on TCG cards, and there are 1 images in popular robot mode.

In this illustration, you can confirm that the attached weapon can be connected to the main unit with the arm.

The image below. Other than the first one, it is listed again in the past."

Now if we could start getting some "mini-bots," this would feel like a complete thing.

I would bet serious money that minibots will be a major feature in one of the next two WfC waves, probably the very next one. With SDCC this week, I'm betting we'll see them in just a few days.

It’s possible. I wouldn’t be surprised if we see the combiner micromasters next. Those guys that combine to make one vehicle. I had a slew of those but I also wonder if they’ll bring back the legends class so they could make the minibots since they’re absent. I’m sure quite a few would like to see bumblebee, Huffer, gears, pipes and others done with some siege-like articulation.

Well, Titans Return gave us a decent Bumblebee. Cliffjumper, Huffer, Gears, Pipes, and Swerve on the other hand we definitely still need. Not to mention the Throttlebots.
They could also give the Minibots the same treatmewnt as Reflector - sold as Deluxes with accessories to make up the difference.

True but by the time the second part WFC kicks off some of those toys are gonna be 4-5 years old by then and look at the insecticons. We just completed them and one of them popped up on a fan vote a few weeks ago. I think if they have the opportunity do it they will

Hey, it's true that the Black Shadow / Overlord mold could be retooled into Tidal Wave.
I'd be all over that. :x

That's Leader-class, not Commander class

Exactly. It would be a great toy by itself and would scale well with Legend/Légion bots.

Having a brand new Tidal Wave mold, not a retool, in Commander Class would be perfection.
