I wouldn't mind because I'm missing Legends Blitzwing and he's getting hard to find. Also that pine green seeker would look great as a toy if he used some shade close to/similar to Hound.

If I can only pick three, I'm going with 4, 6, 7. I have less attachment to Nacelle than the others who got (slightly more) screen time.

And looking at screen grabs, looks like there is a 3rd variant generic that is solid purple, including the legs. That's the guy I want really.

He's pretty much just Universe Acid Storm minus the camo.

Probably got a color-shade change after 4 million years. :P

And agreed. I'd love Blitzwing to go with Astrotrain. Those two went together in my mind due to their prominence in the movie.

A Leader-class Blitzwing wouldn't really go with Astrotrain. SIEGE Astrotrain is a Leader-class toy on account of the fuel tender - his main robot will still be Voyager-size.

I mean dark green+a more regular seeker scheme with the black and silver as opposed to head-to-toe neon.

I speculated this mold would be used to hell and back, by the way. The Classics Seeker mold was basically ancient by 2018. Oh sure it looked good but, even taking into account inflation and degrading toy value the truth is that any new, properly done Voyager Seeker mold in generation was simply destined to dethrone it. Especially with Siege cranking up the articulation and giving this new mold just about anything you could expect on that budget. Not that the Siege Seeker mold needed any more articulation.

This mold was bound to become the equal, if not eventually surpass the Classics Seeker. It was only a when, not an if that there would be a replacement and with said replacement being a good decade older and thus having said decade worth of improvements? Yeah, it happened as I said it would.

What I did NOT expect is the sheer, mind blowing speed Hasbro churned these out.

Love that dark green Acid Storm in the pic ol' saby baby posted! I'd like to have that deco please and thank you.

The Classics Acid Storm came close in color value, but had that camo-esque (or maybe it's acid corrosion?) design. I like that color in a more traditional layout.

Isn't the identity of that pine green Seeker in the "Welcoming Committee" still unknown? It's just pure fan speculation that it's Acid Storm, just the same as when fans assumed Sunstorm the same bot as the yellow seeker of the "Rainmakers," before Hasbro officially said that wasn't the case. Given that pattern and precedent, I'd think it more likely the pine green Seeker is NOT actually Acid Storm, but another bot altogether.

Hey! Here's a thing. I have always just taken for granted that they are called Seekers without actually knowing where that name (designation) came from. So, where did it come from? Tech Specs, and I just can't remember? The toon? Marvel?

Oh, you just had to poke at that didn't you. It originated with old department store advertising for them, such as the 1984 J.C. Penney's Wishbook. It became a popular fan term, and was cemented in canon in 2002.

After reading that I quickly dug out the raggity old 1985 Hasbro product catalogue my Dad brought back for me from Toy Fair. In that they are simply listed as, The Transformers Decepticon Plane Assortment. DANG! I was hoping to open it and find the proof in that pudding.

While i am not getting Starscream or most likely Thundercracker, and want to get Skywarp and Redwing, I'm not sure about these 3 yet. We'll have to see when they are available and for how much. I'd like some new cons, and to build a seeker force, but I don't have this mold yet and am still not very impressed yet. So we need to see how the first one eventually feels

Normally, I would absolutely agree with you on this, especially with that Sunstorm/Nova Storm analogy... if Acid Storm hadn't been given a toy (his first toy, even) with a dark green color scheme, meaning that he officially has two official looks, one bright green and one dark green, to his name.

But yeah, declaring the dark green Seeker to definitely be Acid Storm is unofficial, but it's the best guess we got for the time being. And, there is also this other dark green Seeker from "The Ultimate Doom, Part 3". Compared to him, the green Seeker from "MTMTE, Part 1" sure looks a whole lot more like the Universe Acid Storm toy, so that other green Seeker is definitely a different individual from Acid Storm.

I'd say there is a precedent to say 'green Seeker' and Acid Storm are different individuals. Sunstorm and Nova Storm were deemed different characters even when most people thought they were the same for years.

Universe 2008 Acid Storm's coloring and deco layout were mostly due to Aaron Archer's artistic license at the time. He was definitely more into Hasbro's "make it look cool" than Takara's "make it look right" design philosophy. As such, Acid Storm's Universe 2008 deco is meant to look quasi-realistic and only nominally similar to the G1 cartoon character model in that both are primarily "green." The toy's deco also doesn't look that much like either green Seeker pictured above, except coincidentally, as in whether or not certain parts like the thighs are gray or green, for instance. The colors are off, and none of them use a jungle camouflage pattern in the show. Long story short, you can't convince me either one of those other green guys is Acid Storm based on his inaccurate previous toy decos. ;)

Astrotrain's tender turning into a rocket base is amazing! I'm definitely going to pick up the Rumble and Ratbat pack for Soundblaster. Hope they do a Frenzy set. Oh, and I'm a tad disappointed about the way they handled Apeface's beast mode face, but if it means a good Titan Master and robot mode face, I'm fine with it not being 100% like the G1 toy
