I just realized that Spinister's second cockpit goes to the underside of his vehicle mode! :BANG_HEAD: After seeing it, I guess it should have been obvious that it wasn't going to end up on top behind the first one

Oh, and I'm a tad disappointed about the way they handled Apeface's beast mode face, but if it means a good Titan Master and robot mode face, I'm fine with it not being 100% like the G1 toy
That tender is glorious. It feels like the accessory the G1 toy was supposed to have but never got. SIEGE Astrotrain continues to be "SHUT UP AND TAKE MY MONEY!"

Ultra Markus wrote:i was almost thinking astrotrain was going to be a real leader class size figure then i saw the launch pad he comes with i guess the new leader class is now voyager with accessories thats a shame
That's just an effect of who they've been doing as Leader-class thus far.

Aimless Misfire wrote:Are they seriously releasing Apeface but not Snapdragon? I hope it's not gonna be another Chop Shop where they never bothered to release the rest of the team.

Also Crosshairs just looks like Ironhide painted in Optimus Primes colors. Nice try Hasbro but NO!

1. Be patient, willya? They're probably still hashing out how to handle Krunk.
2. Oh yes, because the red thighs, blue-and-black arms, and unique black headsculpt sooooo look like Optimus' color layout and Ironhide's head. Also, did you miss the initial renders of Crosshairs or something?

Cons galore! :D

Astrotrain will be a pass, if he had been a TRUE leader class (i.e. Magnus-size instead of Shockwave-size), I would have bought it. But the TR A-train is fine for me.

I'll definitely get Spinister and Apeface (there HAS to be a Snapdragon on the way!...right? RIGHT?)

Pass on both Ratbat and Rumble. They're fine, I just don't need them.

Pass on the 10-pack.

The new Targetmaster is a buy, providing we get a name...?

The Micromaster combiner is probably a pass.

I'll probably get Crosshairs, just because.

After the pics, the 10 pack of micromasters likely a pass as it doesnt complete any teams (I'll just have huge backlog and fun trying to track down any of the Siege micromasters if/when they release the team mates).
Pretty sure the orig combiner micromaster had two gun barrells if it's the G1 one I somehow had a part of. Will pick up when the price is lower.

Ratbat pack, will pick up if/when I get Soundwave/Soundblaster, hopefully soon.

Spinister, definitley even though it looks like a power drill has been taken to him to give him parts to plug in weapons.

Ape face, still a big yes.

Astro train, should be a yes but I dont really need to replace the TR one. Maybe when the line starts getting figures with earth modes then he will be bought to go with them. Size wise, no way is it worth £46, even £30 would be pushing it.

Crosshairs is slowly going from yes, to a maybe at some point. I wanted to have the mold (happy with third party Ironhide) but I'm not understanding it being a 'large deluxe' with it being the same size as TR Kup.

The target masters are maybes.

nope it's this one - https://tfwiki.net/wiki/Power_Punch_(G1) - one of his team mates did have a double barrel turret though

sounds right as some of those were repaints in the g1 era - would still love a full set of air patrol figures tho

These are looking nice, though the biggest suprise is definitely Rung. I wonder if this means he's going to reappear in the new IDW comics then?

I really like Astro train, he was one of the G1 figures I wanted most but could never find at carboot sales as a kid.

Astrotrain is a possible buy, if I ever find him at clearance prices that bring him down in price to his proper size class.

Rung I will buy two of, one to play with, one to keep MISC.

The rest is a pass.

Wow, Astrotrain's shuttle-mode looks unfinished.

Pretty cool that this Spinister guy has two cockpits in robot mode but only one in alt-mode. (Yes, I know, like the box-art, you-know who-you-are.)

I still have those combiner microrobots it's amusing to see them redone.

Apeface is definitely the star here.

(Still no Skyfire btw. So much for pre-orders or Amazon.)

It is getting harder to keep secrets and reveals these days. Though I'm wondering if there's still more to come. Companies can take all the precautions they want but human nature will mean someone will leak it just to get the accolade.

I'd imagine that Snapdragon will come in the next part of the trilogy. This is only the first part after all. I'd be more concerned about them not bothering to make a Frenzy/Rumble like they almost didn't in Titans Return

We'll see but when they released Chop Shop I was excited for the other 3 deluxe Insecticons & I'm STILL Waiting. I'm still waiting for any updated version of Ransack, my favorite of the 4. :(

I never mentioned the color "LAYOUT". I only mentioned the colors RED & BLUE. It looks like Ironhide is painted in OP's colors. It reminds me of that lame Cloud Roadbuster/Energon Ironhide repaint.

I don't know what you're talking about "initial renders of Crosshairs", I'm just looking at the G1 toy of Crosshairs & this Ironhide repaint doesn't work for me. I want an actual G1 update that looks like the G1 toy. Same goes for Doubledealer. I don't want lazy half-assed repaints of molds that look nothing like the original G1 toy. If Hasbro can give us molds like Apeface & Springer that look exactly like their G1 toy then I'm not settling for that horrible 30th Doubledealer or this crappy Crosshairs.

Astrotrain looks good. That launchpad base is a nice touch, but I'm wondering what other function does it have other than what's shown?

I think Astrotrain's tender also transforms into a gun. So it should have a use for all three modes.

:-? :-? Honestly, looking at the way "Frenzy/Rumble" is in cassette mode, it looks like almost the exact same transformation as a G1 "Frenzy/Rumble". Something that explains the weird high knees that the figure has, as it is SO G1. The only difference being that instead of hiding the hands to hold the spring loaded head into the body, you use the racheted shoulder joints to hold the head down and the hands flip into the forearms. The questions are how strong are those pins in holding the hands into the forearms so you can actually flip them back out, how easily could those hands snap off around the pin trying to get them back out, and do those hands flip up or down into the forearms to affect the visibility when the figure is a cassette. :-? :-?

Otherwise, the only figures I'll definitely buy out of this group of is Astrotrain, as a gift for my steam engine loving father, and Lancer, to complete the fembiner. Rung would be a possibility if I could sneak him past my hubby, but that is a big if.
You know, as a kid I never made the connection between the G1 Sideswipe toy my brother passed down to me and the characters in the Beast Wars show on TV, until Michael Bay had Sideswipe as a Corvette.

I'll get the new Rumble, but I plan to keep using TR Rumble and Frenzy for any robot mode displays. I think the Siege versions are fine for the scale, but like @Randomhero said, there's only so much you can do at that size.

I wanted a Wingthing, but I'm guessing instead we'll see Frenzy and Buzzsaw.
