I never thought about that, it would be a lot more interesting than the other way around, and it would make more sense story-wise, if they have an accompanying storyline.

If the new rumors are to be believed, this leaves us with a fun guessing game as to Wave 2. So far the only revealed items for Wave 2 are Chromia, Ironhide, and The Rescue Patrol. As far as Decepticons for Wave 2, I think we will see Soundwave and Thundercracker before the other seekers.

The question though, are we sure all the Seekers will be voyager?

I've had a gut feeling for a little while that he'll be a deluxe weaponizer instead of the 2 bot shirt and pants combo.

...alright, no spoilers of course but anyone who's up to date with IDW is surely hoping for exactly the same thing from the armoured-shockwave possibility. Long shot, but a man can dream ;)

We've been over this: IDW is ending. Hasbro won't be putting anymore IDW-inspired material. At least not stuff that isn't part of the reboot. The old timeline is over, finished.

Well it’s not. Just because the IDW-verse is ending doesn’t mean they can’t make characters from designs there. We’ve gotten many toys from continuities that have ended. We got a Straxus figure from hasbro that was based on marvel from the 80s. There’s nothing that supports you claim that hasbro refuses to make anything that calls back to the original IDW-verse

Considering that was 2 $10 figures that made up one deluxe side robot and this is one deluxe robots at a $15.99 price point it’ll be like cog.

WFC increased the price points for all figures by like $5 though

2 things here. First, the clones at Walgreens were 2 legends at a deluxe price point, so it can still be a possibility. Second, don't confuse the actual price stores charge with MSRP. MSRP is just that, Hasbro's suggested price. The stores are still free to charge what they feel is right for their market. I also don't recall if they are raising MSRP for deluxes to $20 with the WFC line or if they already did this for PotP. Again, the prices we see and pay are the store's choice, not Hasbro's suggested price.

All that being said, I can still see Flywheels being a weaponizer as it should be a cheaper option and would match the theme with the other deluxe weaponizers. A double legends package would stand out against the rest of the line.

Edit: I'll gladly be wrong on this, I'd love for Flywheels to be a 2 bot shirt and pants combo like Battletrap.

That’s exactly what he’ll be. He’s not gonna be same as Battletrap for the same reason Chromia doesn’t combine. It’s not the gimmick anymore.

The 20$ deluxe MSRP was first done for the TLK line, followed by POTP and SS. And Voyagers being $30 too, and some retailers (such as Amazon and HTS) are indeed selling at these prices.

But we shouldnt confuse price with price point. The idea is that if a legends calss 2 pack sold at the deluxe price point once, it can do so again.

But that’s not what flywheels is going to be. He’s going to be like Cog so you can have a decepticon to transform and make armor or he will be a deluxe that separates into two vehicles.

If he was like Battletrap than it would be two legends in their own separate packagings that combine and can be sold as two figures just Battletrap was. But it’s not going to be that because we’re done with combiners.

I know it’s fun to hope and speculate but be realistic guys.

I actually think he will be both of your options and called it a few/many pages ago. Weaponizer that can be a Deluze on his own, split/partform into a tank and jet and become a pile of weapons/armor/jetpack for other figures to use.

Well, when it comes to Soundwave, we might not get another for quite a while, mainly due to this coming out sometime later:

But they've effectively replaced Legends with Micromasters, at least for the initial waves, so they couldn't do that. Personally, my guess is that it will be more like Cog than Battletrap, but there isn't enough info to make a good guess one way or the other.

A couple things though. There was a listing for a Soundwave that appeared to coincide with this line.

And I didnt say the original 3 seekers. I was asking if we might get other seekers (coneheads, welcoming party) as deluxes.

Two different seeker molds in different classes in the same line? That seems ... not especially likely, unless they're relying on retools like during Combiner Wars. With the promo images of tetra jets, I'm hoping for all-new Cybertronian modes.

Though now that I think about it, maybe they could retool the WfC game molds for the coneheads. That would undersell the value of the new Voyager seekers, though.

With two Soundwave releases in as many years, I wouldn't hold out too much hope for him now. WfC is a trilogy, right? It would be a good idea to keep some of the big hitters for later in the series.

I just ordered the TR Soundwave as a companion for the major characters next year. I would be down for new cassettes, though.

If they’ve replaced the Legends size class than they’re not making legends size toys. Just like the ultra class. Once a size class is gone and replaced by something else than it’s gone until it’s revived.

I'm sure it will be revived sooner than later, it's just a question of exactly when. Legends is such a useful size class for characters that are at a smaller scale than a deluxe. My minibots collection still needs a Cliffjumper, Huffer, and Gears, so I have a personal stake. (Plus I'd love a cannon for Cliffjumper like from the original pilot miniseries, which would fit with the WfC play gimmick, but now I'm just posting a wish list.)

Nothing. They got rid of it back in 2009. They just got decided that voyager and leader class figured were big enough I guess but it’s one of these things like this If they’re getting rid of that size and replacing it with something else like the micromasters. They’re not going to make two legends class figured and out them in for a deluxe price point. Especially two legends whose gimmick doesn’t go with the current gimmick line.

Ah but wasn't it said that they would have a gimmick if it was on the original toy? Where applicable of course, hence um being a white prime in armour.

They did.
But they also said all robot modes would be in scale with eachother and yet we have Leader Shockwave, so both statements dont go together well.
Plus they also once said that Studio Series would all be new molds aside from the exclusive thundercracker. And we know how that turned out, so who knows.

So my 3 *possible* interests in this line are some BIG *IF's* right now.

IF Cog and Six Gun have any degree of real integration with the Titans they are associated with (even if its a simple tab of some sort). Also if Skytread (Flywheels) is truly designed like Battletrap. These will be the determining factors as to whether I purchase these items or not.

I know Cog was fully revealed, but as to whether it has any integration with TR Fort Max, that was not mentioned at all.

They did.
But they also said all robot modes would be in scale with eachother and yet we have Leader Shockwave, so both statements dont go together well.
Plus they also once said that Studio Series would all be new molds aside from the exclusive thundercracker. And we know how that turned out, so who knows.

Ah true :( though I'd be surprised if they didn't have an answer for why things changed...at which I'm guessing it would be money.
