But we shouldnt confuse price with price point. The idea is that if a legends calss 2 pack sold at the deluxe price point once, it can do so again.

PotP Deluxe MSRP stayed at $16.99, everything else (aside from Legends) got a price hike from Hasbro.

Also it's faulty logic for anyone using the clones as an example of two legends being sold at a Deluxe price point meaning it's possible for Skytread to do the same. The clones are exclusives and exclusives are priced by the stores that sell them, not by Hasbro. Walgreens decided they worked at a Deluxe price point, that doesn't mean Hasbro agreed.

But they also said all robot modes would be in scale with eachother and yet we have Leader Shockwave, so both statements dont go together well.
Plus they also once said that Studio Series would all be new molds aside from the exclusive thundercracker. And we know how that turned out, so who knows.

Technically, they are all new molds based on previous toys in some cases. There may be repaints, but they are repaints of the new SS molds, so they didn't really lie. I think that was misinterpreted.

I fully understand and agree with that, as I did with Wolfmanjake. But if I ( and maybe others) misinterpreted that, it could be that we are also misinterpreting or misunderstanding what Hasbro is saying now. Dont know how though.

The MSRP was changed about midway through PotP from 16.99 to 19.99. It was even mentioned in news articles here for the official figure reveals. Just because stores opted not to change their prices to match does not mean it did not happen.

Yeah, it became the MSRP for 2018, here is the link

https://www.seibertron.com/transformers ... c17/39750/

And here is the blurb from Hasbro: /

Transformers: Generations Power of the Primes Deluxe Class Terrorcon Rippersnapper

(Ages 8 years & up/Approx. Retail Price: $19.99 SRP /Available: Spring 2018)

The AUTOBOTS and DECEPTICONS use PRIME MASTERS to wield the incredible powers of the most legendary bots in the universe: the Primes. PRIME MASTERS carry the spark of a Prime, allowing them to share a Prime’s godlike ability with other bots. How will the ferocious TERRORCON ground attack specialist wield this epic power? Anything is possible and everything is at stake when the Power of the Primes is unleashed! TRANSFORMERS GENERATIONS POWER OF THE PRIMES DELUXE CLASS figures are 5.5-inch-scale figures that come with a Prime Armor accessory. Insert a PRIME MASTER figure (not included, each sold separately) into the accessory, attach it to the figure’s chest, and imagine TERRORCON RIPPERSNAPPER wields the power of a Prime. Available at most major retailers and on HasbroToyShop.com.

Are we sure that isn't a typo? Hasbro Toy Shop sells at MSRP so they wont have an unfair advantage over normal retailers. And yet they haven't changed the PotP Deluxe price at all, but have increased the Prime Masters wave 3 price so they do make price adjustments as they happen.

It took months before the voyagers changed price on HTS. And again HTS is still a retailer and can charge what they feel is appropriate. While the line may be blurrier, technically HTS and Hasbro the manufacturer are separate business entities.

Also, lets not step away from the fact that there are transformers deluxe toys which have a $19.99 MSRP and that this MSRP has been manifested at retail, specifically with the Studio Series line. Thats all the precedent a corporation needs to make that the MSRP for upcoming deluxe class toys, movie related or not.

Just like with the Movie lines, Animated, United, Japanese Generations, TF: Prime, Power of the Primes, etc.

Nice to see some pics of Siege Optimus Prime without all the "battle damage" paint applications. Is Takara just showing off some earlier, non-finalized samples of Siege products, or are they planning to diverge just a bit from Hasbro's offerings by going for "pristine" looks for their releases instead of Hasbro's "battle worn" aesthetic?

In those pictures the figures look pretty clean but I think that's due to tha bad quality. Optimus definitely looks like he has less or even no weathering especially on his head/helmet and his forearms but if you look at Hound's front bumper...
And they had battle damage at Wonderfest, too.
AND :HASBRO: wants to unite the brands as they already did with PotP. Btw does anybody if there are quality differences between the :HASBRO: and :TAKARATOMY: releases of the PotP line? Especially regarding paint apps.

The combination of a low quality scanning job and the overexposed original photograph dull the colors and hide all of the molded detailing. I'm hoping the eventual high quality scans of the magazine will help somewhat.

So I was wondering something, though I don't know if it exactly supposed to go here or the Potpie thread. For those of you who have him, how many people plan to replace Leader Evolution Optimus with Voyager Optimus?

I personally don't plan to replace him quite just yet, though I have noticed the part of the trailer-mech-bodysuit that locks the arm joints into place is getting quite worn out, making the connection much looser on the arm, which might make me switch fully if mine breaks in the next couple of weeks.

So I guess the question is who is better, Leader Potpie Optimus, or Voyager Siege Prime?
