I'm hoping we get at lest a Rumble and Frenzy pack along with Buzzsaw and Ratbat, though it makes me wonder if they will cut into more traditional Micromaster teams for the Decepticons.

Its probably Laserbeak's design on War For Cybertron/Fall Of Cybertron

Image

More likely, both this toy and that design are based on the same thing: Laserbeak's pre-Earth design from G1:
Image

Ah, I had completely forgotten that Laserbeak did look different on Cybertron, unlike all of the other characters featured in the pre-Earth portion of MTMTE. I wonder why Laserbeak got such a distinction for his...robot?...mode, and no other character did. Unless, Sunbow considered this Laserbeak's "alt mode." Then, would that make the tape form his robot mode!? Does he have two alt modes and no robot mode? I think we're far down the rabbit hole now, people!

Ok now you got me curious. I own sme of those legends targetmasters and dont really find them all that great (especially since the neck joint is not seperate). What makes you find them so superior?

The Takara ones generally look more on model to their G1 selves, have more articulation (knee joints!), and look cool with that bit of clear plastic on each. It's not necessary, but it gives them at bit more "life," like having light piping for the optics or clear windshields instead of blue paint. With the right lighting, they look energized and ready to fire.

Am I the only one hoping that the air strike patrol gets remoulded with a third figure added as a new version of the armada Star Saber? I cannot see their sword form as the Star Sword without the hilt.

I'd like that as well. Ideally Omega should have a base form (based on the tank we've seen, check) a robot mode and a ship mode. Metroplex, Fort Max and Trypticon got three modes (though they did have 3 in the original toys as well) so I can't see why Omega shouldn't get one.
I wouldn't count on it looking too much like the ark if he does have a ship mode though, I suspect if there is one it'll be secondary to the robot and base modes, the canon modes.

Well, to be fair I consider Brunt to be an 'original design' since the original Brunt was a non-transformign accessory whereas this guy has a really cool and unique robot mode. So that's at least one half-new thing in this line so far, no?

Weaponizers use 5mm ports so as long as you got space to stuff all the extra parts and junk, it technically 'works': only thing new/unique to Siege mold are the 5mm port under their feet to allow these Victory Saber-esque boots.

If the line wasn't so heavy on early GEEWUN I could see other options for Weaponizers if they were willing to look at other continuities: Unicron Trilogy, mostly, to be more precise. Double so if they attempted Weaponizer at a Voyager or even leader(!) size. The gimmick seems really solid overall and great in it's simplicity and if one doesn't like it then they can ignore it and not buy a single one without affecting anything else in the line, which I like...even if personally I really, really love them. That said, if they were moving away from GEEWUN the potential weaponizer would be:
-Overload
-Tidal Wave
-Wing Saber
-God/Apex Bomber
-Victory Leo
Will it happen? Pfft, hell no, I don't see it hapenning. But, nonetheless, it would be a good way to revisit these gimmicks and ideas while also allowing the figure to be stuck an accessory to a single other figure.

Interestiny enough, Brunts design is not original. It is Don Figuera's design of the droids in Stormbringer down to almost every detail of the robot mode.

Could use a new head and some orange. But otherwise, yes, this could very much be a working Strika. However! It is worth noting that in the original Beast Machine incarnation, Obsidian and Strika were apparently Autobots and not Decepticons. Their association with 'the bad guys' come from them working for Megatron.

Nemesis Primal wrote:...anyone have any idea why TFWiki claims that we're getting a Soundblaster repaint from the just-revealed Soundwave, that Red Alert is part of Wave 2, and that Countdown comes with Omega Supreme? Was all that confirmed at the panel? I know people were speculating about Omega turning into Countdown's rocket base, but I didn't think that was confirmed anywhere, and I didn't think we got anything official regarding Red Alert outside of that Brunt picture. I guess a case could be made that Red Alert has to be in Wave 2 for him to be in Brunt's advertising, but the rest of that just seems like wild claims unless I've missed something.

Everything that we know was said on the panel but also in conversations with the various press people present. For Micro Master Countdown specifically, we have confirmation that it will fit in the tank that forms the head and upper chest of Omega Supreme from the panel stream. See here: https://www.seibertron.com/transformers ... uzz/42179/
(video mark 19.28)

As for Soundblaster, an image has been making the rounds claiming to be the redeco.

I just think it's bad lighting on Soundwave, given it's the exact same spot:
Image

Red Alert seems speculation, unless it's from a private conversation (as I mentioned above). Hope this helps!

Certain TFWiki contributors are really good at taking parts of pictures out of context. See the claim that LG-EX black convoy's stock photo/packaging shows silver painted forearms (it's just camera flash, he has really shiny plastic in that area). I'd agree with Va'al's opinion that that's just bad lighting on soundwave rather than something even powdered concrete regarding soundblaster, but wouldn't discount the possibility for the future, especially from takara.

The worst one i saw from tfwiki was the claim that Movie the Best Soundwave came with a missile (while he had no gun to fire it from). For months i thought i had thrown it away by mistake but in reality he came with no accessories.

Speaking as a longtime TFWiki contributor, bear in mind that a lot of new users tend to jump the gun on things that they edit and don't adequately reflect the greater standard of accuracy that the Wiki tends to strive for. And sometimes bits of misinformation just slip through the cracks, as can happen on any news site. :PEACE:
