Some countries have gun laws that are really strict, to the point of one having to own a license or having entire shipments confiscated. Plus, shootings in Europe (like in my home country of the Netherlands, look up Delft news!) are on the rise.

You will get it, Walgreens exclusive are ridiculously easy to come by, even if you dont have a walgreens around. You just have to wait for them to be released, same with any other toy.

Again, if it's like Brainstorm this will not be an issue as he is still for sale on BBTS even to this day. Hopefully the same will happen with Siege Ratchet.

look i get the whole real gun or anything that could look like a real gun being a problem with certain people but brightly colored toys that look obvious to everyone including parents and law enforcement as not a legitimate gun like Shockwave also being treated the same way just baffles me,
but you all know it doesnt matter much with presentation as long as we get what we all want even if it cant be an official gun mode and in doing so people from all countries with different laws can enjoy the same thing ;)

I'm very eager to see pics of this Ratchet exclusive, but I know that's probably MONTHS away right now. My hope is that Ratchet will sport a dark gray crest on his helmet, a la the G1 cartoon. I think the chances aren't too bad, considering that Red Alert's helmet is going to be cartoon accurate red instead of toy accurate black.

Their difference in design however makes the idea of them being a pair pointless IMHO. PotP Battletrap is two completely individual robots that both have a vehicle mode, and a combining mode. Skytread is just 2 vehicles that combine into a singular robot mode, similiar to the original. The design change basically negates the similarities these two share.

The situation was very similar with the Monsterbot trio at first. Repugnus only being a TM made me have no desire to get the dissimilar deluxe (Doublecross) Twinferno.

When Grotusque came out as an exclusive, I purchased it merely for it's exclusivity, not because I was trying to complete a monsterbot trio. It was not until just a couple months ago that a proper deluxe Repugnus was released that made the trio complete.

The individual Skytread toy may be neat on its own merit, but I guess I can only hope that at some point Hasbro will release a different Skytread that fits the design aesthetic of PotP Battletrap.

I mean TR gave us deluxes for both Topspin & Twintwist (though the latter was a pain to get) And :TAKARATOMY: gave us legends Runabout & Runamuck (I know one was an exclusive, but I managed to get them both).Pairings like this shouldn't have different engineering, but I guess that's just my opinion.
Bucket/Want List: Botcon 2016 Customization Class Ratchet (G2 Deco), or Customization Class Ratchet (Marvel Comics Deco) **would also be willing to pay for an Unpainted Botcon 2016 Ratchet, TT Legends Fortress Head (only) with working Electronics

Wish List of Modern Combiners: Road Caesar, Monstructor & Dinoking (proper size to fiction), Landcross, Guard City, Battle Gaia, & G2 Defensor. Wish List of Titans:Metrotitan,Majin Zarak

Them being different engineering-wise works for me tho as each Duocon has an advantage over the other: Skytread/Flywheels has size working for him, while Battletrap has robot modes for each component.

I mean, rip-off may be a strong word here. It seems the only true reason they made Shockwave a leader class figure was to give him things to hide the totally-not-obvious-but-so-clearly-obvious Submarine Laser Pistol Gun Ship mode. And at least they did something creative with it, instead of just packing him with a bunch of accessories to warrant the Leader price point.

This was clearly done with the G1 fans in mind, as they know there are people who want things as close to G1 as possible, and they can't just do a gun mode anymore. It may be a little dumb, but they did it for a reason, not just to fill a leader class spot. (Though, I suppose it was probably done to do that as well.)

Nice to see too that Flywheels doesn't have any battle damage paint or excessive greebling in his sculpt. He should look perfectly matched with Battletrap from Power of the Primes when posed together on a display shelf.

Shockwave space laser gun mode is a go! Good to know we can just put his spare parts in storage and still have a viable alt-mode into which the base Voyager figure can transform. Bad to know that we'll be paying $20 extra dollars for extra arms and legs that none of us will really use.

Hound is still looking very good, but I'm having trouble seeing how it's any upgrade to the already marvelous Universe 2008 figure.

New High Quality Stock Photography of Transformers War For Cybertron Siege Toys, Shockwave, Minicon,

Motto: ""What Would Sky Lynx Do?""

Thanks to TakaraTomyMall, we now have pre-orders listed for the Takara offering for War for Cybertron: Siege! The Takara versions of the Siege figures continue the trend started in Power of the Primes, where the Hasbro and Takara releases are identical with minimal changes to the packaging.

These new listings also give us a plethora of official images, including ones we have not seen yet, among which is a listing for Leader Class Shockwave that shows off his individual alternate mode minus all his armor bits. The alt mode shown is another classic Cybertronian submarine type alternate mode that is most definitely not an upside down gun.

Also included in all of the images are different angles of many of the figures from what Hasbro is calling Wave 1 of the line, including backside shots of each figure, giving us a great look at how these figures are really going to work.

The figures seen include: Battlemasters Lionizer, Blowpipe, and Firedrive; Micromasters Battle Patrol (Flask and Bigshot), Air Strike Patrol (Stormcloud and Whisper), and Race Car Patrol (Road Handler and Swindler); Deluxes Sideswipe, Hound, Cog, and Flywheels; Voyagers Optimus Prime and Megatron; and Leaders Ultra Magnus and Shockwave!

Check them all out below, and let us know what you think of them in the comments section below!

That was confirmed as soon as we saw him at SDCC since the price point had been previously revealed.

I do see it as him being packed with a bunch of accessories to warrant the leader price point. Its not like the suped up space submarine looks any more or less of a gun than the non suped up space submarine.

They did need another bot for the price point and they can only release so many voyager cons, so this is the outcome. The autobots have a lot more variation in size than the cons do.
