Line launches in December and NYCC is in October, probably too late to really reveal anything from Wave 1 like Decepticon. They'll probably show them off at an overseas con or Takara Tomy might get to actually reveal something new this time around.

But the Lionizer product image only has a single part. I can't imagine buying two of them to recreate that scene.
https://static.seibertron.com/images/to ... 18566.jpeg

I'm glad Firedrive has two of the effects parts. I'll want one on Optimus, and I can put the figure with PotP Rodimus, so that has some versatility.

Pretty sure the effect parts are going to be coming with multiple figures since they probably aren't part of the figures' molds so expect a bunch of figures to have the muzzle flash effect, maybe in different colors.

Skritz wrote:Two of them look good, but the Race Patrol is just two cars stuck on top of each others. Ugly.

They made fun of it at the Transformers panel so they're aware of how weird it looks, but they said it looks better in hand with the weapon effects attached. Would have prefered they used Tailspin since he has tiny missiles built into his shoulders they could have used in weapon mode.

Shame they confirmed they don't plan on doing the other halves of the teams right now. :(

It is set towards the end of the pre-Earth portion of the war on Cybertron in the past long ago, right before the Autobots board the Ark and end up on Earth.

So if the Prime Wars Trilogy was set in the present or future, this would be set in a time long before that point, if there is to be any story connections between the two trilogies at all, that is.

I do wonder if the cons will get female back up and if one of the tetra jets might be slipstream, giving her a further push alongside cyber verse.

I'm also surprised any one thought this was going to be anything other than the pre-earth saga. Though it has me pondering how they'll handle the earth part (if part of this trilogy) will they go full 80s alts? Or modernise everything or some hybrid monstrosity of both

Are we talking about the same hasbro though? With John Warden in charge? We're not allowed to go forward, not while there's money to be made from the past still!

Same thing with :TAKARATOMY: . MP are all about G1. At least, there's Beast Wars and Movie as well, but I'd really like some MP of Animated and the Unicron Trilogy. Man, many of these need a serious update, especially for the Unicron Trilogy.

Burn wrote:I get where people are coming from with Chromia, but it makes sense why Hasbro are going that way.

This is an all new "trilogy". The previous one started with Combiner Wars and carried through the subsequent two lines. It's had it's run.

This is a new start, so new (rehashed) gimmicks are called for.

I only want to know two things, story line wise is this connected to G1/Prime Wars (I'm hoping it is set post Prime Wars) and where the heck are the 'Cons?

Setting it post Prime Wars and having Optimal Optimus fail as a leader works for me, and the lack of 'Cons may be because whoever has Cybertron under siege is in fact an entirely new party with only a handful of 'Cons (the core group - Megatron, Soundwave, Starscream etc) getting figures.

I know the question was answered and its the right answer but the fact that it is a fresh start, back in the past and unrelated to the previous trilogy, does not make it ideal for me since it means every character can be repeated again instead of us getting something we didnt get before (Apeface/Snap Dragon/More J G1). Listening to Warden it feels like this is all "forget what came before, we are fully on the G1 train now, all G1 characters all in scale with eachother!". Its great for G1 fans, but really cements the notion that those non combiner autobots we got earlier were just filler and all that really mattered there were the actual combiners.

And thats why I think the cons will all just be G1 too. Hasbro already confirmed earlier that Tetro Jets were coming (and we see them on the poster), there will be a megatron, we know for sure a Shockwave is coming and we are long due for a decent voyager soundwave.

And for discussions on a Titan, this is what I think we are getting this year: NOTHING

Word on the street is Titans arent making money, so they will see if Predaking sells and if he doesnt, bye bye titans

Yeah, the closest we've gotten to them were the Titanium releases of the seekers back in the day.

It was the closest but we did get another one after that I think worked pretty well:

Honestly, the Cybertron voyager mold is the BEST Cybertronian seeker mold ever. The spaceship is just perfect and it's the best interpretation to date. I do wonder how they will manage to make cybertronian tetra jets with Earth mode bot modes in WCS? I mean, without some horrible backpacks/kibbles that ruin everything?

BTW, I will hold on repainting my spare Moonracer. I'll buy that chromia and turn her into a combiner limb by mixing and matching Moonracer's parts. Repainting may not even be nessessary.

'Tis a shame that Hasbro never sold that mold at mass retail. Takara did, but all three of Hasbro's releases of the mold were two store exclusives and a BotCon exclusive.

Instead, Hasbro put the upscaled Supreme class version out at mass retail, and waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay before the show ever gave people any reason to buy it since Starscream didn't go giant until in the second half of the show, which didn't air on TV until a very long time after the Supreme toy came out.

william-james88 wrote:PS: was looking at the list of the arc crew to see what to expect from this line and I saw Hauler, who the hell is Hauler?
A one-scene-only cameo appearance character from the very first episode of the G1 cartoon. He never spoke or transformed, and he shared the same vehicle mode as Grapple, leading many to think that Grapple's toy was originally planned for release in 1984 as "Hauler" instead of its proper release in 1985 as "Grapple".

His scene can be found at the beginning of this video:

After that 40-second scene, Hauler never intentionally appeared again in the G1 cartoon, though later Japanese media gave more attention to him and retconned some background generics seen in a much later episode to be another appearance of Hauler, then-sporting green colors instead due to a new backstory that e-HOBBY created for the character and which other authors have since expanded upon.

Weapon: Electro-Sword
My take for what we will see from Siege mainline (non exclusives) based on Potp waves:

8 Battle Masters:
Not really too concerned with this class, I think it will be an even mix of Targetmaster and Actionmaster weapons.

9-10 Legends/Micromasters:
3 Patrols start it out.
I think they will complete the 3 patrols.
2 for Flywheels.
2 Decepticon patrols.
12-13 Deluxes:
Sideswip, Hound, Chromia, Ironhide, Cog already revealed. Cover art shows Prowl and Red Alert. Thats 7.
Now we know that Mirage and Impactor are coming. Probably later wave. Thats 9.
the 3 primary Tetra jets are coming*
I think Sixgun will round out the deluxes for 13 as a minor retool or redeco of Cog.

5-6 Voyagers:
OP takes slot one.
Voyager of 2 out 3 of Megs/Soundwave/Shockwave.
*Tetra jets might be voyagers as a curveball.

4 Leaders:
Ultra Magnus
Leader Shockwave is most likely based on the leaks.
Since its a reintro, star saber seems unlikely.
My guess is 2 more decepticons.

Titan:
If greenlit it would be Omega Supreme.

I really hope I am wrong on the size of the waves. Would love it if there were 4 full waves.

I actually like your idea you posted earlier better any way. That this is happening post Prime Wars. It would be pretty cool if the Transformers finally made it home. And had to fight to do it. It was cool in Beast Machines, it could be really cool for this G1 era idea. Could be a lot of cool stories in there.

It would also better explain these seemingly techno augmented Earth like alt modes. They brought their alt modes back to their alien space home world.

This is the first year they'll be using the year long model so four waves (a wave every three months?) Seems to fit but there will be repacks but I doubt (hopefully) they'll be to the extent potp deluxe wave 4 is.

I've been thinking along a similar line, although it does seem a shame to have 3 limbs of 1 combiner made out of (essentially) the same mold.

It's even more a shame that only TWO were made and the 3rd one have to be modded heavily. Even more so that (for now) there's absolutely no 4th member. Guess I'll have to make my own Arcee.

After seeing all these previews, I am fairly happy about everything so far. Kinda not big on the detailing/greebling/ingravings covering almost every inch of most figures. Prefer a smoother finish. Ultra Magnus does look very awesome, but sitting here messing with my CW Magnus, I dont think I will update. Also I have a good voyager Optimus too in MP-10v, although if this new one is good in reviews and stuff I may sell the old and get this one. Main reason being I like the simpler fun transformations. Basically I very rarely transform MP-10v Prime as its difficult and fragile. Hope that Impactor is way badass looking and not just a repaint of Ironhide. One repaint I really am wanting is G2 Sideswipe, if they make one. Other than that Red Alert will be great. Really need a new Prowl as CW Prowl is best I have for now and just dont cut it as my G1 CHUG Prowl. Out of everything shown so far though, I think Stakeout is my fav. Just been re-re-reading Sins of the Wreckers and like him.

I'm a Beast Wars fan and even I will admit that 'giving Beast Wars some love' would still classify as more nostalgia-milking, just milking to a different (and slightly younger) demographics. I think here it's more people sort of wish that the lines could live up more to it's Generations name like it did during Thrilling 30 and try to integrate a bit more characters beyond the original early '80 lineup. Warden is a diehard GEEWUN purist so obviously integrating anything not based off the strictly G1 stuff will not happen safe for a few scraps thrown our way once in a while.

That said, Ultra Magnus is '86, not '84 so there is still hope we'll see guys who are from season 3 onward which I'm still quite fine with.

I would like to see a leader class Megatron, as an alternative to MP-36. The TR leader wasn't very good, it would be good to get a large yet cheaper-than-MP G1 Megs. He would have to be a tank, of course.

As for the Titans, I hope we still get at least Scorponok, but as of now there are 2 :BOT: and 3 :CON: so next up would likely be Omega Supreme.

As for the Titans, I hope we still get at least Scorponok, but as if now there are 2 :BOT: and 3 :CON: so next up would likely be Omega Supreme.

You mean the Combiner Wars, leader. How come he's "not good"? For me, it's one of the BEST geewunish Megatron ever.
Come see my latest creation, a Galvatron Combiner using 4 SS86 Sweeps as limbs HERE!

Also, an update to my old ALL HELICOPER VICTORION!

To say nothing of '87 Cog and Firebolt/Firedrive, the '89 Micromasters, and '90 Lionizer. Doesn't really feel like they're sticking solidly to an '84 lineup.

Now if we could get at least just ONE reveal of something really cool and unexpected, like Deathsaurus, Star Saber or...I don't know, anything that cool. :ic$:

I've been thinking along a similar line, although it does seem a shame to have 3 limbs of 1 combiner made out of (essentially) the same mold.

It's even more a shame that only TWO were made and the 3rd one have to be modded heavily. Even more so that (for now) there's absolutely no 4th member. Guess I'll have to make my own Arcee.

I've been campaigning for Deluxe Greenlight and then a Legends (however at this point, a Battlemaster would be PERFECT) Class Lancer. What does she turn into? A F___ING LANCE!
