Think so. Those ports seem to have become a very common feature over the past few years that Hasbro like to fit into where possible. You can get some pretty cheap stands too. Obviously the more expensive ones are probably sturdier but the ones I buy for £1.79 each from Amazon do the job nicely on most of my Transformers and other action figures (the stands come with various bits and pieces to hold all sorts of figures). Been one of my fave lil things Hasbro did with the figures (even if it did provoke some immature jokes when they first introduced them, cos the robot mode port is usually on the butt).

He’s wearing the mangled corpse of a different Shockwave. Eh? Eh? Like after Time Wars or something, he went bonkers and started killing the other Shockwaves and made a suit out of them.

I did and there is 2 each 5mm & 3mm ports on the underside/inside.

EDIT: I can see Shockwave wearing a corpse of himself or a different version of himself or a failed clone even. I very much like the add-on bits for Shocky, lots of fun and just seems to work for him. He's a great figure.

Motto: "'till All Are One"
Just something I wanted to mention since there is often debate on two things:

How big of a chunk are we collectors in the mainline transformers market?

What do big box retail stores think of Hasbro selling the same products they have directly?

Well the second question was asked specifically at the last investor meeting to the CEO of Hasbro Brian Goldner.

Goldner precised that their efforts with Hasbro Pulse was only to offer a direct market to the collectors and it was only targeting that segment. Thus there was no conflict/competition with big box stores.

That answers both questions to me. The US collector market (meaning anyone reading this article) is significant enough to warrant investing in an interface to serve fans but not big enough for Walmart or Target to fear any loss in sales from Hasbro selling directly.

We could have guessed that, but it was fun to have at least one question that's been asked openly on these boards before answered by Hasbro's CEO.

It's nice that Hasbro is recognizing and addressing the collectors market directly. I feel they are knocking it out of the park as well. The premium service they are offering via Pulse feels like they are gearing up to move some serious plastic. Free shipping until the end of the year, they'll get my dollars for sure. :ic$:

EDIT: meant to add that Pulse has become part of my daily crawl.

Are we sure about that? Here is original Armada Megatron & CW Armada Megatron, both are *roughly* the same size (The top of the original's tank treads are just a touch (maybe 1cm) taller than the top of CW antennae.

Image

Now while this isn't a great picture, here is a comparison with Armada Megatron and Tidal wave

Image

With Commander Class being larger than Leader Class, at the very least, one would think a new Tidal Wave would be about the same size as the original, if not, just slightly larger.

Although all the pictures of Siege CC Jetfire look great, and we do have his approximate measurements in his description, it would have been nice to see some clear comparison shots of him next to other Leader Class. In that diorama at NYTF, there may be some, I just can't recall at the moment.

Say what you will about some of the downgraded quality of figures these days (no more diecast, more hollow parts, no electronics) but at least figures these days don't look like static piles of blocks. That Armada Megatron toy looks ridiculously stiff.

I've measured my original Tidal Wave. It's taller than 11 inches.

So then...while I personally have no issues with the current trend of size in the generations line, does the complaint some are making that the new Commander Class being equal in size to previous Leader Class figures, just with a higher price point valid?

It just seems overall that Siege Jetfire has a whole lot more R&D involved that your typical mass market toy, and IMHO, while photos can skew things quite a bit, it *seems* taller than 11 inches (though I know that is clearly stated in the description)...

I'll see what I can do.

In the meantime I have a request/question. I opened Cog recently and noticed some neat molding on the back of his head that seemed to be more specific than just generic detail. I've searched the wiki and the internet but I've been coming up blank. So does this reference anything or is it just cool bonus detail?

Where did you get him from? :-?
But thanks a lot. That really helped.
To remove some material from his nose (make it flat) might help and make a little groove around it so it looks detached from his face and the face looks more "noseless". But risking to ruin his might not be worth it, I guess. And his face looks pretty good as is.

I'd love to see a WFC Trilogy Bludgeon, especially one based off his inner robot for a change. Then I'd be able to mod him by adding a Titan Master so his head can go hide inside his Pretender shell.

Thanks, I spend a little time behind the digital paint brush for fun. I think the figure looks fine to me, but I get the desire for a more spartan look. A little super sculpty and a dab of paint would do the trick.
