Well that is no longer the case. The HTS site now specifically says the site has moved to Pulse.

Fair enough, I hadn't visited for a little while now. But I'm sure more stuff will end up there, they're probably still in the transitionary phase of getting stuff posted

From the time HTS went under construction they've described the new store as "curated" which is a fancy way of saying it wont have the selection HTS had. Pulse's tag line is "where fans come first" and they've described the site as a Hasbro fan store. It's doubtful they'll start selling Rescue Bots and Pie Face there.

And who's being charged in advance for their Pulse orders? This is what a completed and pending order looks like for me.

They put holds on your card but they'll eventually release the charge. Problem is you have to have the money up-front to pre-order.

I used my bank debit card and do online banking with holds showing up on my account summary accompanied by an email alert, but I didn't get any of that with my MP+ Bluestreak pre-order. Maybe they've changed something since?

Tying into SIEGE, specifically to the upcoming Omega Supreme (I vaguely recall there was a more relevant thread, but I've been away and can't seem to find it) I have two related questions:

1) To compliment the release of a new Omega, does this guy deserve a New figure in this line too?

Image

On a more tangential note...

2) In terms of their Role/Function, what is the difference between The Last Autobot and Omega Supreme? (Noting that TLA would make a great Leader/Commander Class figure in this line also)

The Last Autobot was the final original creation of Primus himself in the Marvel Comics, created to be a guardian that would watch over and guide Primus's children when such a time would come in which Primus himself could no longer carry out that task himself.

Omega Supreme's role, meanwhile, has varied over the years, best summed up in the newest Basics video from yesterday:

"When there's gold feathers, punch behind you!!"

It was actually after watching that video I thought of the question. They are both historically The Last Line of Defence, although with a different context. So is there anything beyond a superficial difference?

Omega's the "last line of defense" for just Optimus Prime's team of Autobots. The Last Autobot was Primus's contingency plan for his own death, prepared to defend and watch over the entire Cybertronian race itself.

A concept it would be really interesting to explore, especially in a G1-centric series such as SIEGE. With TLA technically being one of the Thirteen Primes and his face, the Autobot Logo itself.

Image

With a design that would be extremely easy to adapt to SIEGE too.

Yeah, that can be done with some minor retooling of the Jetfire figure. As a Marvel G1 fan, I'd love to see that become reality. Unfortunately the character is obscure enough that if it were to happen, it would be an expensive exclusive most likely. I'd still buy it.

Indeed. I was thinking of Big Jets that could be retooled from Jetfire and TLA is a natural fit. Which could mitigate the cost somewhat.

Jetstorm would work too.

Not for us, just for Hasbro. They would still charge us 80 bones for the Jetfire figure at least.

Only if that mold is still around and still viable. A lot of old non-G1 molds from back then, if they haven't been lost or destroyed, haven't aged well.

I don't even think the BM mold is strictly necessary. A redeco and minor (to extensive) retool of the above could look like Jetstorm without too much effort.

Oh I see, no problem. The Jetfire mold has a lot of potential for reuse, if they were to get creative. The Last Autobot, Jetstorm, Skyquake, as Skritz suggested.

Well assuming that scorpoknok is the next titan, we quickly run our of candidates for the titan class, unicron and primus would be quite good. Though there was the rumour that haslab might do a unicron bigger than titan class...

But Unicron/Primus doesn't need to be bigger than Titan Class. They will visually appear bigger due to what they are without being upscaled. As we've discussed before, there is a fine line in scaling TFs between figure and cosplay.

Hasbro were the ones who suggested it, even cos playing as one of them would still be too small for any scale.

I think Titan Class still has a few Combiners left in it before it gets to Unicron and Primus. Even if those would be really cool to see return.

True. As neither follows an aesthetic based on a particular planet, they could be applied to any line.
The potential for Monstructor is very interesting, considering he is made of Pretenders. That could potentially lead to a two in one Gestalt. Perhaps the Other Shell Combiner, could even be based on Dinoking. Now HasTak employing that level of creativity would be awesome... If unlikely in the extreme >:oP

That would work really well as a redeco of Impactor with a new head.
