Yeah, that can be done with some minor retooling of the Jetfire figure. As a Marvel G1 fan, I'd love to see that become reality. Unfortunately the character is obscure enough that if it were to happen, it would be an expensive exclusive most likely. I'd still buy it.AllNewSuperRobot wrote:Sabrblade wrote:Omega's the "last line of defense" for just Optimus Prime's team of Autobots. They are both historically The Last Line of Defence, although with a different context. So is there anything beyond a superficial difference?
A concept it would be really interesting to explore, especially in a G1-centric series such as SIEGE. With TLA technically being one of the Thirteen Primes and his face, the Autobot Logo itself.
With a design that would be extremely easy to adapt to SIEGE too.

Indeed. I was thinking of Big Jets that could be retooled from Jetfire and TLA is a natural fit. Which could mitigate the cost somewhat.

Jetstorm would work too.

Not for us, just for Hasbro. They would still charge us 80 bones for the Jetfire figure at least.AllNewSuperRobot wrote:Indeed. I was thinking of Big Jets that could be retooled from Jetfire and TLA is a natural fit. Which could mitigate the cost somewhat.

I don't even think the BM mold is strictly necessary. A redeco and minor (to extensive) retool of the above could look like Jetstorm without too much effort.

Oh I see, no problem. The Jetfire mold has a lot of potential for reuse, if they were to get creative. The Last Autobot, Jetstorm, Skyquake, as Skritz suggested.

Even Thunderwing, could work.

i also want to see the Planetformers on the next part either, that'll be fun.

Well assuming that scorpoknok is the next titan, we quickly run our of candidates for the titan class, unicron and primus would be quite good. Though there was the rumour that haslab might do a unicron bigger than titan class...

But Unicron/Primus doesn't need to be bigger than Titan Class. They will visually appear bigger due to what they are without being upscaled. As we've discussed before, there is a fine line in scaling TFs between figure and cosplay.

Hasbro were the ones who suggested it, even cos playing as one of them would still be too small for any scale.

I think Titan Class still has a few Combiners left in it before it gets to Unicron and Primus. Even if those would be really cool to see return.

Monstructor and Piranacon would look really nice with the SIEGE aesthetic.

I do think Piranacon would work better as a Combiner Wars-style set because he was Scramble-compatible.

True. As neither follows an aesthetic based on a particular planet, they could be applied to any line.
The potential for Monstructor is very interesting, considering he is made of Pretenders. That could potentially lead to a two in one Gestalt. Perhaps the Other Shell Combiner, could even be based on Dinoking. Now HasTak employing that level of creativity would be awesome... If unlikely in the extreme

That would work really well as a redeco of Impactor with a new head.

Indeed. I thought of Impactor or Brunt. Applying a redeco of the mold to Demolisher too would work, while we're at it.

You've seen the figures, you've seen the pre-orders, and now we're getting our first look at the packaging of Siege Leader Galaxy Upgrade Optimus Prime and Battle Masters Smashdown and Caliburst. Posted by both DaimChoc on Facebook (thanks to Albatross250 in the Energon pub forums for the tip) we see Optimus really filling out his box leaving little room inside. Newcomer Smashdown has some truly fantastic art going on as he smashes the ground, while Caliburst is blasting away at Autobots (is that Red Alert getting blown up in the background!?). These are turning into must-have figures so get a good look at what you'll be searching for when you're out on the hunt later this year.

Galaxy Convoy/Cybertron Prime is still looking amazing. Still disappointed that Hasbro decided to make it just G1 Prime but with armor instead of going all out and doing a new Galaxy Convoy/Cybertron Prime. Hope some 3rd Party company is already planning an upgrade kit for him to give him Cybertron Prime's base head and better cannons or at least cannon fillers

Wasnt the original similar to that? I remember it being the most G1 prime since G1 prime.

Hardly! Cybertron Prime is as far removed from the G1 design as it gets:
-Cybertronian Fire Truck vs '80 Square Cab with trailer
-Silver and yellow head details
-Optimus Primal-esque mouth
-Arm wheels
-Fake chest windows of a completely different shape
-Has the shoulders made from the front of the cab

I'm just meaning the inner bot, specifically the head. It's a small thing, but for some reason it really bothers me that even in a big new non-G1 figure, there still had to be some G1 for it to be made. Cause Cybertron Prime had a mouthplate similar to Optimus Primal where he still had the mouth, but also plating around it, and this new version is just G1 Prime inside armor that makes him look like Cybertron Prime, rather than Cybertron Prime and his Supermode
