They blew their best and most obvious chance with this:Skritz wrote:CHUG Vector Prime when, Hasbro?!

Caelus wrote:My wife pointed out something interesting about the prehistoric Predacons. I said that everyone was complaining because transforming for them mostly consisted of them just standing up-right. She essentially said, 'So? That's what our ancestors did.'

And instead gave us this:

Never, there is only one mold we will ever need.
No way man. Rip those electronics out and give more articulation to the torso!
And possibly make the sword out of a different material. The rubber does not hold up well in the tropics...
This.
the Vector Prime mold is good, but it can definitely have some improvements in articulation, swords, and maybe wing size too, they are a bit small and bad material.

I would love to see them take the opportunity with Fasttrack to really have him integrate well with whatever Scorponok ends up being. Like have his component pieces be great guns but can also double as towers or repair equipment, something like that.
Hmm, I wonder if they'll just retool Omega Supreme for him.
I was looking at my Trypticon for the longest time just at his torso and wondering if there was any way they'd end up repurposing that for a future Titan and I can see a little Scorpy in there.
I do hope that we'll get Scorponok as the titan in the next line. Mostly because he's long overdue. Though, I can't decide if I would want them to keep the headmaster the same size as the other headmasters and give him a helmet, or give him a legends class headmaster maybe with the option of storing a normal sized headmaster (sorta like Trypticon with Full-Tilt storing Necro). And I'd imagine that if they did, they'd either include Fasttrack with Scorponok or make him available in the same line
Nathaniel Prime wrote:3) Refraktor is just great. He's taller than I imagined, and I guess that's a good thing, and he has a really cool looking space cruiser mode. Camera is where it takes the cake though, but I only have 2 right now so I can't fully make it. I really feel this is a superior product to all the 3P versions out there, in terms of look, posabilty, and value.
Overall, this wave has some really great figures going for it, and I'm excited about the Voyager waves coming soon!

Yeah, I get this is a GEEWUN line and all that but with the Voyager being clearly the 'main' Optimus of that line would it have killed Hasbro to give us the Primal-styled 'open mouthplate' look for the smaller to better complete look, even taking into account the Siege figure has a different transformation.
It would have made a world of difference I think.
I agree that that is one thing he sorely needed. He's fantastic, but that would have been an extra layer of ultra sweet icing
Beside, he would have stilled looked like Optimus Prime at a glance even without that G1 head, really.
What's even more upsetting is the fact that they didn't even go full G1 with the head since it still has the yellow eyes. If they'd gone full G1 with the blue eyes, then fine. Whatever. But the yellow eyes are such a tease![]()
Sentinel_Primal wrote:So, I just watched Chuck's review of Refraktor/Reflector and at the end he mentioned that on Hasbro's site, when you use the code from his box, you see the three Reflectors with additional parts for a flashbulb and Cybertronian text. I hate being skeptical, but seeing as a gift set of Reflector would be nice to see and potentially get instead of trying to hunt down 3 at retail, can anyone verify/translate the text?

I feel its a mighty huge leap to take from one image.

Well, maybe or maybe not. Didn't the code for Greenlight sort of reveal Lancer as a possibility? If I'm recalling that correctly then Hasbro has used the codes to reveal things before.

Only in this instance. Taking precedent from Cybertron's online content, more often than not it was design sketches, color charts and other development material. Is the camera mode advertised on the box in any way?

If you had seen the rest of my sentence, I said that it could have also been design sketches or a prototype. I wouldn't say a possible boxset is out of the question. Surely HasTak recognizes that there is demand for a complete set?
AcademyofDrX wrote:No one has pointed out an obvious flaw with the box set logic: the code comes with the Refraktor toy. Ostensibly, the person putting the code into the site just bought 1-3 of those toys. Why would you hint at a box set for a new, comparable version of the product the customer just bought?!

However...since this news broke, we've gotten a few nice reveals of other figures presumably being released before these. I just wonder though... are the lines fluid enough that they could be pushed back as early releases for the 2020 line? It's just the lack of news thus far (which could change with SDCC)...and the fact that these are only 12 months lines now has me a bit skeptical. By this time last year, everything about PotP had been revealed, aside from any Selects or exclusives.
It is nice that Siege seems to have a more robust 4th wave, of which these 2 could certainly be a part of, but one would think their target date would be closer to October rather than December...
