Crazy thing is, Will, I almost bought one for $40 like an hour before -- the only difference was it came with the sticker sheet and checklist/poster. But I lost the bid only to find this listing!

I also lost out on Chainclaw but that got close to $40 as well before I quit.

Snarler!! I couldn't remember his name. In that picture in my thread from last week or whatever when all of my G1s were out on the ground, robot Snarler was riding his Pretender shell :lol:

Carnivac was $90?! Dang! Wolves are cool. He was in Sins of the Wreckers I think, so maybe that's why the price bump? Or just the rarer of the two. Snarler has some pretty cool body armor panels too!!

Chainclaw is the Autobot bear right? To go with Catilla. Word.

Yes, Snarler! I thought it was pretty sweet to see him in your G1 pic too, Cram.

You nailed the names of the rest of the Pretender Beasts. Catilla totally reminds me of He-Man's Battle Cat.

I think what I liked most about Chainclaw was his inner-bot's green face lol -- just not for $40, ultimately.

Seriously Cram! The articulation does suck, but they got great silhouettes and detailing on the shells -- I am still having lots of fun hunting them down.

My wife went and gave my 4 y/o son Bomb-Burst to play with. He already got Skullgrin from me for his recent birthday, so he's familiar with the concept....but BB is one of my new faves.

The Pretender Beasts lack any articulation (much like the beasts in He-Man!), but they were large shells. They're fun, and I'm happy to have them in the collection.

I'm not quite done with my Pretender quest yet, but there is one other flavor of G1 Transformers that have piqued my interest lately -- the Micromasters. This is in part to the fun I've had with the Titan Masters (and soon, Prime Masters!), and it got me thinking how great this would all look & play together!

Specifically, #1 on my list is Countdown.

As far as tracking him down, he ain't cheap....and has a ton of accessories.
I just think he'd display pretty well, and be fun in various dioramas/memes/pics.

Or I could settle and get the little guy alone....?
