I was watching The Search for Alpha Trion last night. I was paying really close attention to the femmebots, watching how they transform. Makes me that much more impressed with Tramps work now.

I was watching Elita-1 tranform, and was struck by how closely she transforms like Cyb Override. What do yall think?

The problem is that Override is too ?Butch? for Elita-1. Also, It would make more sense for her to be a futuristic truck, not a race car. We don?t see much of her vehicle mode, except her front end, but it seems more likely that she is a truck, not a car. A very sleek truck, but a truck no less.

Tramp: 1. How is a bloody race car "too butch," but a TRUCK is feminine enough?

2. I find it incredibly ironic and humorous that you insist on calling people out because their G1 homages aren't identical enough to their original appearance, yet your Megatron, while VERY good, is pretty damned far from GeeWun...

It isn?t her vehicle mode I was referring to. Override?s robot mode is too ?Butch?, not her alt mode. In robot mode, Cybertron Override is very broad chested, vey wide in the torso. She isn?t feminine except for her ?boots? Those are really the only thing that make her even remotely feminine. That is the main problem with Override, and it isn?t one that can really be corrected.

As for my Megatron. He is a cross between G2, War Within and Armada. Like my Seekers, and to a lesser degree, my custom Optimus Prime, he is an upgraded form based upon his original Cybertronian form, but more futuristic. He was never intended to be a true G1 Homage, nor did I ever say he was.

Took me awhile to find the screenshot of her vehicle mode and I have to agree that Override's figure would make a good Elita-1. It is very much a sleek sports car and not a truck vehicle of any type.

While the robot mode is a bit butch as Tramp put it, it still would convey the character rather well IMO. Unless of course you can duplicate the mods that were seen on the Japanese board some time ago to make her "less butch". heheh

I say go for it!

Jeeze. The only thing they did was make her headlights clear. There's no real way to make her less butch.

No. There was one that had a noiceably narrower torso.

I think someone (Freestyle?) managed to pull it off to some extent, but as I recall, it was a harder job than it looked, and even then didn't feminise him/her that much.

Not that noticable IMHO, and not much for the end result. I think if anything a repaint would eb the way to go.

Yes... hence why I put "less butch" in quotes. I believe that a straight repaint of Override into Elita-1 would be more than sufficient.
