Do you collect other toys besides Transformers? Maybe you've got a Masters of the Universe collection you'd like to show off, or maybe you like Thundercats, Voltron, G.I.Joe, Power Rangers, Star Wars, Wrestling, or any of the various comic book toy lines. Please keep the discussions here to non-Transformers toy lines.

I still don't like the look of the show, but it has potential, and some fun moments to be sure. One of my favorite very subtle nods was Skeletor talking through the "microphone" of Snake Mountain. That took me back to 1985 Though many of the character reimaginings I am not fond of, David Kaye as Cringer is probably the best (talking) version of that character. Though I prefer animals not to talk, which is another reason I really like the 200X series.
HA! The mircophone was my favourite part too. It's also from that moment on that the show really kicks in gear with what I told you would be closer to MOTU than the previous episodes. I was referring to that (and the villain reveals right after).
LOVED David Kaye. My kids like him too. Too bad there isn't a toy announced of him yet. Speaking of toys, the first ones have been released from Walmart.com in the most random crappy way where there's an assortment listing and you can order it and you could get one of three figures. Hopefully they are found in stores soon for everyone since they do their job quite well for the target audience watching the show. They also look really good for $10 figures.

Scareglow -not sure what the differences to the SDCC are. Not really impressed by it tbf Classics looked better and even so does Origins.
Generica -dunno name of character or care to know it. Figure looks okay but kinda feels like it's from another toyline (I'm kinda getting Highlander animated vibes or something)
Fisto Looks good but I'm getting reused body fatigue way too quickly these days which isnt a good thing when that's MOtUs thing #9and sadly everything elses now)
Stinkor, I'm liking the extra detail and sculpting on the body but the head/eyes looks off and I really dislike the gas mask thing. His backpack is very bland/cheap looking which doesnt suit the masterverse figures. Sad thing is they will probably make this figure actually smell but 200X Staction beats this any day of the week.

That is Andra, although some fans were not happy with that character, she was a one off that appeared in a Marvel Star Comic in 1986. The fact that they race-swapped her in Revelation wasn't a big deal because she was mostly unknown, but she was just Kevin's Smiths pandering ship-bait for those who are into that sort of thing.
Bucket/Want List: Botcon 2016 Customization Class Ratchet (G2 Deco), or Customization Class Ratchet (Marvel Comics Deco) **would also be willing to pay for an Unpainted Botcon 2016 Ratchet, TT Legends Fortress Head (only) with working Electronics
Wish List of Modern Combiners: Road Caesar, Monstructor & Dinoking (proper size to fiction), Landcross, Guard City, Battle Gaia, & G2 Defensor. Wish List of Titans:Metrotitan,Majin Zarak
I actually saw MOTUO wave 5 (Fisto, LOP Merman, 200X Evil-Lyn and Fakor) at Walmart this morning, though it was just one of each. I already got it from BBTS, but it's the first time I've seen anything other than He-Man and Skeletor in a store in nearly a year.
Mosquitors arrived, shame the chest window isn't bigger but still a neat figure. I don't think rev spikor is that out of place next to origins, can see him being a bit like a titan from A.O.T and he's some kind of wall breaker/living siege kinda guy.
I saw a lone new animated series He-Man at Walmart the other day. Almost bought it, there aren't a lot of figures that big around for $10, but ultimately I decided to leave it for a kid or another collector. I'm going to hold out for the versions announced for the Masterverse line instead.

You mean the CG HeMan show will get toys of those designs in the Masterverse line too?
Speaking of the CG Show, a new pic has popped up online with new toys. So we have Ork0, Evil Lyn and Ram Ma'am. Don't know why Sorceress isn't there, we had seen her toy back in the original reveal.
Also I have not seen that pic get picked up by toy news sites yet, don't know why.
Would really like a Beast Man.

Correct, it was announced at Power-Con. Keep in mind it could very well just be He-Man, but I think if it proves popular enough they'll do more characters.

Ah, there's the pic of the Netflx MOTU show figures I shared.

Evil Lyn looks worried rather than scowly eviiil so I think I'm passing on her, Orc0 is a must, The yellow seethru he-man is a maybe (Im wanting just the battle armor one at the mo) and Trapjaw went green and stole a generals wheelbike??* and battlecats coloring???
Mini-Comic Trap-Jaw is probably what they were going for with the Netflix wheelbike figure, but it really does look like some strange Battle Cat deco that's letting it all hang out under that skirtkilt loincloth. Evil Lyn is looking like a rejected villain from Devilman. If I buy nothing else from that line I'm definitely getting an Orko. Wave 2 is already starting to show up at Walmarts, I'm curious how long the wait will be for wave 3.
It's a shame that Clawful is the only new mold in that wave and he's still sharing body parts with other figures. Will get a Horde Trooper or two, what an obvious retail repaint, I hope the space suit gets a retail repaint as well. Might get Anti-Eternia He-man, not sure about Trap-Jaw, don't really have a need for him, but I might end up with all four if I get a wave case from BBTS.
So I ended up having a bit of a breakdown and bought the entirety of wave 1 of Masterverse... Got He-man, Skeletor, Skelegod and Battle Cat at Target making good use of the $25 off $100 again, came to something like $90. Had to have it fixed at the customer service counter because Battle Cat didn't count towards the deal so I only got $10 off originally. Then at Walmart they had a fresh case on the shelf so I got Evil Lyn and Mossman, too. Really the only reason I didn't jump into this line earlier was not knowing where Mattel planned to go with it, but now that we know there's no real reason for me to hold back.
william-james88 wrote:What are inclyded in wave 1 and wave 2 of thst cg MOTU show toyline?
Not sure, not even sure if they have official "waves". I can't find a case breakdown or anything but I think they just swap in Man-At-Arms and Trap-jaw and at some point Sorceress. Haven't heard of anyone finding all five of those on the shelves at once and the cross sale on the back doesn't show all of them. It's all very strange.
So far all of the figures we know about are:
He-Man He-Man with Ground Ripper Power of Grayskull (yellow) He-Man Skeletor Skeletor with Painthor Trap-Jaw Trap-Jaw with vehicle Man-At-Arms Man-At-Arms with vehicle Sorceress Sorceress with vehicle Ram-ma'am Orko Evil-Lyn Adam Stratos Man-e-Faces Mosquitor Tri-klops
I'm thinking the green motu series Trapjaw is more of a homage to Leech (despite it looking like he's in battlecat cos play) with the character borrowing powers from leech. Wondering what that shows take on mosquito is like with the upcoming figure as I still haven't seen it (plus that kinda implies the horde will be in the show be it a reimagining or not).
Out of the four new origins I'll likely pick them all up, I skipped the blue trap jaw with having the Super7 TV version. That's probably the wave with the deluxes being terror claw skel/flying fists heman. Places have import stock of eternian guards so I'm hoping mine arrive soon.
Snake mountain and crystal castle are my top wants, if they are crazy enough to do eternia then that too.

I think that's everything from the 5" line.

I was just wondering which characters you were tslking about when you saud wave 2 was already appearing on your shelves.

I've only seen He-Man on the shelves so I have no real first hand experience here. I had heard Trap-jaw wasn't part of the first run and he doesn't show up on the back of the package for He-man, Skeletor, or Man-at-Arms, but maybe I'm just misinformed? Sorceress was part of the initial set of stock photos showing off the line so I though Trap-Jaw and her were wave 2?
blackeyedprime wrote:New images of Revelations Merman (with out the chest armor it just seems incomplete) and a Uggh looking Teela -Jaundice19 must be rife in Eternia.
well...they got her RBF on point. An unpleasant face for an overall unpleasant character.
Anyway...I was floored this afternoon, going to my closest Walmart and seeing some origins figures that weren't He-Man/Skeletor. I have no idea if it was the newest wave or not but they had Green Goddess, Webstor, and Stinkor! I don't even collect these, but I was tempted because I know I'll never see them again. Still I ultimately passed though.

My eternian guards are on their way to back up tv retro man at arms so I'm up to date with what I'm wanting from origins at the mo (unless the 2022 wave sneaks out early over here). Hopefully some of the series toys will be out before Xmas here as still no signs of them.
