And the Saints are 8-3. Long way from the questionable start. I doubt we'll see a Super Bowl rematch, but a Saints vs. Jets matchup is looking better and better. Though New Orleans might have to get by the Giants first. That should be an interesting game. And if they don't, it might be Jets vs. Giants.

Man, I sware, these close games are gonna be the end of me.

Thatw as without a doubt every bit of the game it was hyped up to be between the Falcons and the Packers. With this, Falcons officially gian their third consecutive winning season and all but cement their playoff status, which sould come wihtin the next two weeks against Carolina. Despite some blown calls by the refs, Packer's have only the guys in the box to blame for not telling the coach to challenge. The unwritten rule in Football: anything's legal unless you get caught.

The Packer's biggest issue was injuries, resulting in a virtually ineffective running game. Had they been healthy, they would probably have won in a more decisive manner. I'll give Rogers his credit, he can keep a cool head.

Damn, I just saw that scrap between Finnegan and Johnson in the Titans/Texans game. That was pretty rough for a NFL game!

I have resisted it all season.

I have said they aren't as good as their record.

I have said their offensive line just can't keep a QB healthy.

I have said the head coach and GM need to go.

I have tried really hard to root against them so that changes could occur.

I have done everything short of rooting for the Packers...

...but tonite has convinced me:

DA BEARS ARE FOR REAL!!!

...and I was really looking forward to Jerry Angelo getting canned. Oh well...I'll take the wins. And he will take the credit.

This is not the same Bears team that started the season; it seems everyone has finally caught on to the offensive schemes, the game planning has improved, and the players are starting to see what they can do. I just never expected it...I'm so stunned. I didn't want to let the hope get ahold of me because I didn't want to suffer through a season of horrific play, but I've been sucked in. The Bears may be the second best team in the NFC right now.

I would love to see Da Bears in the NFC title game, if not the Super Bowl. If you just jinxed them... :BOOM:

I damn near jumped for joy when I heard they beat the Eagles. Maybe that'll take them down a peg or 2.

Man, this weekend could be the deciding factor for the AFC playoffs. Ravens vs. squealers Sunday night, then Jets vs. Patriots Monday night. Could be the best weekend of football this season.

THe way things are going, the last game of the season- Monday Night Football at Lambeau Field between the Bears and the Wackers- could be for the NFC North title and a playoff home game.

Well I'm originally from Edmonton, and my hometown hockey team, the Oilers have identical colors to the Broncos. Also, I got into football in 96-97, and the Broncos were the team during those years. So yeah... Elway, haha.

The good news: The fFlcons won. Putting them at 10-2.

The Bad news: It was another game too close for comfort. :BANG_HEAD:

I really hope they don't do this next week in a game that's suppsoed to be a "gimme" for them. I say, put 30 over the Panthers and hold'em the second. Honestly, Carolina is getting the #1 draft pick, they're going to avoid the 0-16 season, they have nothing to lose except the game.

FInally! We get a very good, exciting game played on Sunday Night Football. I will say this though: it was NOT well officiated. Point 1: how does Balitmore's defense not get flagged for hitting Ben Rothlesberger in the face and breaking his nose? DId the ref think he just was picking it too hard and it dislocated on its own? Point 2: the Heath Miller injury was also a helmet to helmet hit...and it was intentional. One of these days, someone is going to die because their head was snapped back by a bull sh!t hit like that...and they STILL won't call the f!cking penalty! THe player may not have gotten flagged, but I guarantee he'll find his paycheck considerably lighter this week.

OK, enough is enough. Someone needs to tell the commentators that ANY hit to the head by ANY player is a penatly, and someone needs to tell the refs to call it correctly. It needs to be uniform across the league, not this spattering of calls here and there.

Well, I am finally able to sit down, as the pain in my ass from the ass whooping I took with the Jets is subsiding. It also cost me a case of beer.

But, at least Josh McDaniels is gone from Denver, so some of the scape-goat hunters should be happy. Who will replace him?

If Denver's owner wasn't cheap and trying to find a low budget coach, I'd say bill Cowher would be a perfect fit there. Just a gut feeling I have.

I know Elway is still involved in the organization, how about promoting him a bit? He lost all that money on that swindle, and he would be good PR for the team. So if not actual coarch, why not make him an assistant, or a QB coach or something? Who's Tebow gonna learn from? Orton?

And I think if this Studerville guy does a good job, keep him. Otherwise, BRIAN BILLICK.
