Transformers Studio Series General Discussion Thread
Re: Transformers Studio Series General Discussion Thread
Orion Pax has the buzzsaw. So that alone sells it to me and I don't need another Bee, but that's the first one of these Devastation figures to not just look good. It's looks wonderful.

Bee being a new mold and not a repaint of the existing deluxe is a surprise, but a welcome once since that mold kinda sucks.
Orion looks great, I love that he got the giant ass saw!

Pretty sure Bee is a reshell of the 86 version.

Wow, how long has it been since Takara were the ones to reveal new mainline figures before Hasbro?

Didn't this just happen either last year or 2 years ago with some SS figures?

I'd get that Bee for having more effort than Dveastation Prime, while Orion Pax makes for a good figure even if I never liked his personality in the movie

So is that Bee a new mold, or a repaint/retool of the SS86 figure. Also, are the weapons hollow or painted?

Until we get more info, I'm leaning towards heavily-reshelled retool of the SS86 mold. I'm seeing a lot of robot parts shared with the SS86 figure.chuckdawg1999 wrote:So is that Bee a new mold, or a repaint/retool of the SS86 figure. Also, are the weapons hollow or painted?

Transformers SS Orion Pax and Devastation Bumblebee Revealed
- Motto: "'till All Are One"
The 2025 Level A Studio Series solid assortments have been revealed over in Japan. These are Studio Series tous that are sold seperately from others and can be ordered on their own all year long to ensure that Bumblebee and Optimus Prime are always available for consumers.
Below are images and translations of the descriptions of the figures on Amazon Japan: https://www.amazon.co.jp/-/en/dp/b0g4l8 ... sform0c-22
Descriptions:
Studio Series Transformers One Orion Pax – Orion Pax, who appears in the CG animated film “Transformers: One,” is recreated exactly as he appears in the film! Orion Pax is a labor robot living on the planet Cybertron, aspiring to be a hero and working daily at the Energon mines. While on the surface, where it was forbidden, he inherited the Transform Cog from the Original 13, giving him the ability to transform into vehicle mode. This set includes a large excavator used in the Energon mines and a 3D Matrix exploration map part that can be attached to his arm.
<Set Contents> Orion Pax main body x 1, main body parts x 2, excavator x 1, 3D Matrix exploration map part x 1, instruction manual x 1
Studio Seies Transformers Devastation Bumblebee – This figure perfectly recreates the Bumblebee from the 2015 game “Transformers: Devastation” (not yet released in Japan), featuring the 80s robot animation design. Transforms from robot mode into a compact car. It also comes with two handguns to recreate the dual-wielding pistols seen in the game, and a blaster that pops out from the ceiling in vehicle mode.
Set contents: 1 x Bumblebee (Devastation) main body, 1 x large weapon, 2 x small weapons, 1 x instruction manual

The outer shell has to be new, since the designers said that the plastic on SS86 couldn't be painted like that.

Hence why I said "reshelled" and pointed out the robot parts only. The car parts are obviously new, but the body they're on looks like a modified SS86 Bumblebee.chuckdawg1999 wrote:Sabrblade wrote:Until we get more info, I'm leaning towards heavily-reshelled retool of the SS86 mold. Is it just me or does this look more G1 than the SS86 version?
