I really hope once they complete the Constructicons they start doing Voyager and Leader Dinobots in scale with Grimlock. I'm thinking:

Leader: Scorn, Slog
Voyager: Slug, Snarl
Deluxe: Strafe, Slash

Not sure if Grimlock would need a rerelease, that Leader wave 1 lingered for a long time. Strafe I'm thinking tall Deluxe, Voyager feels too big unless it's needed for his big wings. Scorn could probably have his TLK Voyager upscaled with some small adjustments. Slash perhaps as a small Deluxe with a much more refined transformation. Of course that's assuming they do more than just Scorn, Slug and Strafe.

Strafe was a pretty large creature when compared to both Bumblebee and Stinger, which is why that one Walmart 3-pack release of AOE Deluxe Strafe came with Legion class toys of Bee and Sting to better scale with Strafe's size, and why the non-transformable Bumblebee mini-figure that came with Movie the Best Strafe was so small.

I think a larger Stryfe and Slug would be really neat! If the do go this route kinda hope they dont redo Scorn because i really like my TLK voyager Scorn :lol:

Yes, but compared to the other Dinobots he's the smallest on screen. It isn't really about scaling him with the other figures in the line, just to Grimlock who sets the standard. Strafe is a bit of an odd one though since he has a very thin and flat dino mode and a bulky bot mode so being a Deluxe or a Voyager really depends on what it takes to make that work.

Scorn is fantastic, but he's supposed to be slightly bigger than Grimlock so I would expect him to be another large Leader class if this were to happen.

So I got lucky and found a Scavenger at walmart last night and I have been messing with him all morning. He is just fantastic.

Something that has really been worrying me about Devastator is that he would not be able to be on all fours like in the movie. Well I think I may have found a way that it could work! I currently only have scavenger and mixmaster with me. All you do is connect the clicks on mixmaster, not the part that holds the wheels. This makes me even more excited for Devastator.

This may have been shown before, but I have not seen it yet.

Studio series wave 8 has got to be one of the, if not the best, waves for studio series so far. Below are my thoughts on each.

Hot rod: he is the worst of the wave not not terrible. He looks good in robot mode and is good with WWII Bumblebee.

Arcee triplets: relly glad these exist. Little fiddley but still awesome.

Bumblebee: the best version of the character ever, minus MMP. A must have.

Soundwave: the best deluxe figure from the wave. Just so, so good. Buy him now.

TF1 Megatron: really good, and even with the reused chest piece it's still good. (I have messed with him out of box, but don't have that one with me)

Mixmaster: almost perfect, just wish his mixing drum panels had more movement. Otherwise great.

Shockwave: great, but needs to be another 1-2" taller. Don't bother transforming him, his robot is the only good part. Even with that, it's still worth it.

Scavenger: the absolute best figure from the wave. Great moment and can even be posed well! He really got me even more hyped for Devastator.

Overall 9.5/10 for the wave. Thanks for reading!

So, of Movie characters not included in the line yet, what are your top five most wanted?

For me, its:

1) Skids & Mudflap Yeah, two separate characters, but I always think of them in a pair.

2) TLK Barricade

3) Jolt

4) Dino

5) Hound

Skids and Mudflap almost make the list, but I'm pretty happy with my ice cream truck versions. I would like to see new figures for them, though.

cary, your #1 has basically been granted. Just slap red optics on SIEGE Soundwave and you may as well have Bumblebee Soundwave.

Hahaha, you're right! Even Siege Ravage resembles the one from the film. I'd still take another SW though. :BANG_HEAD:

4. Dino, can be a car close to a Ferrari but does not have to be one. As long as robot mode is good. (Deluxe class)

5. Decepticon Protoform trooper (deluxe class or as a non-transforming figure, like how hasbro is selling the hydra solider. It would be cheaper like $12-15)

Honorable Mentions:
- Onslaught (leader class)
- Galvatron (voyager class)
- Jolt (deluxe class)

Pipe dreams:
- Sideways that can be split in half when in car mode.
- Titan class driller
- Display base of the pyramid with Star Harvester (only has to be the very top of the pyramid)
- box set of 12 voyager-ish sized figures to make Dragonstorm (they can just go from bot to dragon piece)
- No more Cybertron BB movie bots (they are just too similar to Siege, ER, and so on)

* Non-combining (and thus, less-compromised) versions of Long Haul and Rampage

...I'm surprised how many TLK guys are in this, but then again, it is the least represented movie in terms of Studio Series/toy reps in general, so that does check out.

Overload really doesn't work as a base for Devcon. They're both long trucks, but Overload is an articulated dumptruck with a four-armed humanoid robot mode and who forms part of Devastator while Devcon is a Russian missile truck with a robot mode based on the Cloverfield Monster (and which has an underslung cannon) and who doesn't form part of a combiner.

Mohawk could come with Isabella, Sqweeks, and perhaps a TRF drone.

As an honorable mention, I’d really like a small Ravage figure in Studio Series, like the HFTD Legends class figure. I was sure there’d be one with ROTF Soundwave, but I guess not.

DOTM Bee would be much higher on the list if SS-49 wasn’t so awesome!

5. This one's a bit random, but I'd love to see HasTak have a go at doing a new legend class Ravage, maybe include a pink "Bumblebee" like the soldier that comes with Shockwave, just to have that version of Lazerbeak have some representation.

Honorable mention: A deluxe class "boxset" for Sam, Mikayla, Carly, Cade, Frenzy, Lennox, and Simmons. Maybe throw in some legion Transformer like a bigger Lazerbeak.

Also, the reason Skids and Mudflap are on there twice is because despite all the problems, I saw ROTF when I was around 7 or 8 so all I saw was 2 dumb robots that made me laugh, not racist stereotypes, so unfortunately they occupy the weird position of me loving them for making young me laugh and hating them because of what I know now. :lol:

Another thing about Dino is that in his case the licensing thing probably has Hasbro ticked off. From what I've read, Ferrari were real snots about the whole thing. They oversaw every aspect of his design, and insisted he go by Alfredo Ferrari's nickname instead of "Mirage" because they didn't want their product placement sporting a Hasbro-trademarked name.

Hey, I liked Sqweeks and the big cannon that turned out to be built into his replacement arm was a great bit.
And Mohawk either has to have things bundled in with him or be bundled with somebody else, because this line doesn't do the Legends class. He could be bundled in with Slash at the Voyager price point maybe.
