Excellent looking figure if a bit... too neon green for my taste. I'll hold out for a FP Hardhead.

I'm just not really seeing this as Hardhead for some reason, but still an excellent looking figure.

Maybe as a pre-Beast Wars Rhinox?

Oh my God! How wrong was I about this figure? :oops:

I still think the tank mode is a little flat, and it's looking like he may be big enough to go toe-to-toe with Universe Hardhead (which equals a bit too big for me), but it's really looking like a badass figure. The colours need a little work (less neon green and perhaps grey up the black) and 'Duros' needs a complete palette overhaul, but I think I'm actually onboard for this guy.

I too am now tempted. The size difference doesn't really bother me much. It makes sense to have a larger, kick-ass weapons specialist...

That's Aurora, the next Throttlebot to be released (hopefully) soon. It's a homage to Searchlight.

As for Hardbone... Hells yeah!

It would really help if pre-orders (or ToyWorld and other 3Ps) would give a better estimate of release instead of Q1/Q2. I'm pretty sure we've all been burned by changes in release, and I think a month should be adhered to on when to expect something.

As it stands, there's simply too much coming out right now and through April (that we know of) to just pre-order this and potentially blow a budget. This might help me since I'll have to wait until after release and hopefully some favorable reviews have been posted.

I also share sentiments of previous posters that I'm not fond of the price either, but I figured the quote on ToyWorld's site wouldn't be indicative of what folks in North America could expect (based on GrindRod's listed price compared to my usual go-to retailers). However, if HardBone is near the size of Hegemon then at least there's precedent. From my previous crude observations, he's larger than MP Lambor but I'm only estimating that he's about the same size as Hegemon. TW released the pic of Aurora and HB, as well as a previous comparison pic of Aurora and GR who are the same height.

So, Erector, GrindRod, and HardBone walk into a bar... 8-}
