Back now. Continuing from where I left off.
Whoa!
The place I literally stopped at was immediately right before the Rescue Bots discussion. That was in, all honesty, not intended. Big time coincidence.
Oh, man! Is
that my voice?!!!
I sound AWFUL in this! Just, AWFUL!
Good grief, I sound like a hopeless, rambling fanboy.
I really gotta make sure that review I write later sounds a whole lot more professional than the more dorky approach I take in this discussion.
Something I wanted to mention when Counterpunch mentioned the possibility of Rescue Bots showing up on Prime is that, at BotCon this year, I mentioned to Aaron Archer that I would loved to own main toyline-styled Deluxe class figures of Heatwave, Chase, Boulder, and Blades. And, if they did appear in the Prime cartoon, they'd likely get new Prime-styled designs, so that would serve as precedence for them to get Deluxe class toys in that style.
Jon
(in regards Dr. Morocco): "If only they had renamed him 'Dr. Arkeville', I'd have been so much happier." -- I wanted to respond to this before. I'm sorry, Jon, but I must respectfully disagree. As well as disagree with the idea of making Jon Malkovich's DOTM character Bruce Brazos being Movieverse Dr. Arkeville instead of Patrick Dempsey being new character Dylan Gould. I say this because Dr. Arkeville was a BORING character. His biggest contribution was a mind-control device, which is so cliched a villain plot that I find it incredibly hard to believe that the Decepticons couldn't have come up with such a device on their own without him. And, beyond his creating the hypno-chip, his role was nothing more than another superfluous pawn in the grand scheme of things. He literally served his purpose in only Part 1 of "The Ultimate Doom", as his technology had been replicated elsewhere without his supervision by Part 2, thus making him even more needless. He then proceeded to protest the rest of the Decepticons' plans (both Megatron's and Starscream's), further showing that his services were no longer necessary. He was then completely unnecessary for the remainder of his appearances in the "The Ultimate Doom" and "Countdown to Exctinction", getting injured and rebuilt into a completely immobile cyborg. He then just vanished from the episode as the plot
finally realized that he had no place left in the story to appear in. Ergo, both Dr. Morocco and Dylan Gould being new individuals from Dr. Arkeville was a GOOD thing, IMHO.
Ryan
(in regards to the Playskool Transformers Go-Bots): "Yeah, but that wasn't with Decepticons in it." -- And? What does that matter? Like I said this show proves that you don't need Decepticons to make it work. In that cartoon, they are troublesome, mischievous Go-Bots who escape to Earth and cause all kinds of disasters that the Go-Bot Protectors have come in and save the day, as well as make the enemy see the error of their ways in the end. It's exactly as you described for what you were wanting out of Rescue Bots, only difference is the differently-named faction.
As for the note that MECH has yet to attack Griffin Rock for its advanced technology, I thought of that myself, as it seems like they're just
daring MECH to come in and attack. BUT, with Dr. Morocco having possibly conversed with them over the phone, there could very well be a better chance at seeing something come out of this later on.

I think the Hasbro FE Vehicon might be darker than the Takara one. IIRC, images of the Hasbro one seen at some convention displays fro ma way's back had it look almost blackish compared to the more dark-purplish of the Takara one. Don't quote me on this, but it is possible.
I made the idiotic mistake of passing on a Beast Wars Returns Obsidian at BotCon this year, and he was being sold for a really good price .I don't quite remember what that price was, but the point is that it was reasonable and I didn't go for it.
How tall is Hegemon anyway? Like, if you were to put him in an official size class, which would his robot mode best size up to?
Another great show, guys (minus my sounding like a groupie
).
