I wanted to test drive a Soltice and get out and say "So, lets see the robot mode and I'll come in sign the papers!"
Told you that BB wouldn't have the screen shown engine in it though. Also I just wanna add that the fact the Allspark is getting more than this is just weird!

I know!! 40,000+ for a piece of metal/plastic that only costs like $15.00 to ship? I am all for fans getting memorabilia and being INTO Transformers, but come on, people! You are going to be really pissed when you have a $40,000 plastic cube sitting on your shelf, not doing anything, instead of an actual car that you could apply a good custom paint job to! I wish ebay had a feature where you could ask bidders questions, not just sellers!

you mean questions like "are you actually sane enough and really want to part with that much money?"

But that has a custom paint job! Custom faded LOL
I agree 100% though. I remeber a while back there was some guy who paid like 53K for a screen used Stormtrooper helmet. Cool yes, but c'mon there must be hundreds of those sitting in a warehouse and once its on disply won't look at different then ones people use as custumes.
Granted the Allspark may be one of less that 5 and if it's really destroyed won't make another appearance, so it's deffinately got COOL factor. I would just rather have the Camaro.

The hi bidder probably has a huge amount of disposable income.
40K for him/her is nothing. It's like you and I hitting up the
dollar menu at McDonald's or Wendy's.
I know a guy who loses 50k in the blink of an eye gambling and thinks nothing of it.
These people operate way outside what you and I deem the "norm". Now if its a 9 to 5 blue collar guy bidding on that its foolish. Especially if he makes 40K or less a year on his salary.

Great questions! Really funny stuff.
I think the big issue with the Bumblebee auction is that the car requires alot of space, something that the Allspark cube does not. Still Id prefer to pay $30,000 for a fully functioning car than $40,000 for a cube of foam/cardboard.
