Where to begin.....

$119 is a low price to pay for a 3rd party, UT Provider, Ultra scale MP toy that is a triple changer. Takara's Japan price would be more than $130. Hasbro's USA price would be $90+.

Faith Leader is a bad example to use. As the downsizing was the reason the Igear version became more fragile and was riddled with more QC problems than the original.

Downsizing the bigger complicated, Fully articulated, higher end quality TF toys can't be done successfully. KO Voyager Hexatron needed to be simplified due to it's smaller size.

Many fans suspect Igear never released that downsized MP Megatron. Due to the smaller scale and removal of diecast parts causing too many QC problems.

HasTak makes the bigger MP TF toys catered more for teens and adults not for younger kids.

Think it's pointless for 3rd parties to create the tiny TF toys. As HasTak makes the tiny TF toys in over abundance.

HasTak makes less bigger TF toys. That's why the 3rd party TF toy demand is so high.

With HasTak now doing CW Combiners, Suspect 3rd parties will now make less combiners. Seems like the new focus is creating MP Scale 3rd party TF toys.

Think the FP Headmasters toys are great examples of great designs ruined by the tiny toy scale.

Thought that 3rd party Deluxe Alpha Trion was $115 insanely high priced for a Deluxe non MP TF toy. Disliked the ugly sculpt in all modes.

Even you admit to liking the engineering for the function X series. Its a perfect example how MP style engineering can be accomplished in small collectors scale without being delicate as you claim. I own both of the MP seeker molds and im not seeing anything that couldnt be done in a smaller scale except the hands. It can be done. The big size is just overkill. Kids like big toys and yes I know hasbro is a toy company. But these figures arent marketed towards kids, theyre marketed towards collectors so they dont need to be big. Collectors might transform their figures, but I dont truly believe any collectirs actually "play" with their toys in the sense that kids would conduct play battles. Im just not seeing the point of adult collectibles being big. Its overkill. Unless theyre like combiners or city bots. But regular bots, comn now. Do they expect us to hug them and carry them around like cabbage patch kids ?

Guessing, It's too late to change this toy using replies feedback. It has a March 2015 release date.

Think, Most 3rd party companies are fans, Who are making toys they want made for themselves. Think Their is a Extreme small window of feedback from fans they will listed to.

Speculating, Most 3rd parties companies, are fans from overseas who don't speak english. So they probably can't read english words written on forums.

Thinking, That's why most 3rd parties companies have liaisons who speak english. Think These Liaisons primary function is to act as press release agents and promoters.

Guessing, These liaisons are doing this press release agent thing as a side job and courtesy to the fans. Think These Liaisons have other full time jobs and family lives. These Liaisons probably don't have the time nor care to comb through all of the forums copying, emailing, texting and printing out feedback from fans. Translating it all into another language, then hand it over to these 3rd party companies to read.

Some import sites owners have reported on other forums and maybe here, how difficult it is for them. To communicate with these 3rd parties companies PR and HR departments. Can only imagine it's harder for fans.

Pretty much. The transformers sold in store are meant to be played with and broken. With all the back and forth, I can respect those that choose to collect the Classics line. It's beyond me but it's not my money. What I don't understand are those kicking around the MP line for whatever reason.

I wonder if it was the same with the Alternators line when Robots in Disguise was out?

I interpret this as you like the engineering but not the size. You seem to support the oversized KO Hexatron project. So if someone KOed the Function X line and upsized them, would you buy them ?

All I’m saying is I consider the Function X line’s engineering to be on par with the engineering of MP figures. (minus the hands) With that being said, if Fansproject can achieve this complex and clever engineering at a smaller scale, surely Takara can.

I understand you prefer larger figures as a personal preference and don’t care about scale harmony. But you can’t deny complexly engineered smaller figures do exist. You might not like them, but they do exist.

I was curious and had a tape measure. Although I'm starting to see why Tsu enjoys this so much.

He looks good- much better than the HasTak version IMO.

Regarding size, I like it. I like big Decepticons full stop, and a Decepticon that turns into a tanker truck and a fuel plane should be a hulking brute.

Can't wait to see how great this looks in final toy colors. Hoping the Tanker and bumpers are done in Chrome.

That and my original point was it would be a good idea for DX9 to show their intention of releasing a Blitzwing now to get more people hooked on the first 2 releases.

The HasTak MP TF line has toys in different scales. MP Bumblebee is a deluxe, The other cars-bots are Voyagers, The seekers are Ultras. Soundwave, Grimlock, Rodimus and Optimus are Leaders. Starsaber, MP-22, MP-01 and MP-05 are almost Supreme.

A MP Blitzwing can be either a Ultra to match the MP Seekers. Or a Leader class to Match MP Soundwave, Grimlock, Rodimus and MP-10. So it's important to list what scale I want a 3rd party or HasTak MP Blitzwing toy to be.

Hey Tsut....did you see Dead Metal's fantastic post on the difference between scale and size? Deluxe, Voyager, Ultra, Leader are all size classes, not scales. That's what Megatronus and shajaki were getting at. MPs all scale with each other, even as they are different sizes. You are seeking size to make figures scale well with MP, right?

I think what T is trying to say is certain figures are the same size from different lines. I was contemplating buying MP Bumblebee as my new classics Bumblebee because they are basically the same size. I decided to save money and stick with my Artfeather Bumblebee but I was close to pulling the trigger. I get what T is saying. Technically in terms of height and mass, he is right. MP is more of a designation than a "class". Sure they all scale off of MP-10 now, but it didnt start out that way. MP-01 thru MP-09 had no rhyme or reason to their heights. Just because takara finally figured out that scale does matter, doesnt make the term MP any less of a designation. MP basically means cartoon accuracy at at bigger size. But it just so happens that a mini bot in "MP" scale is the same height and mass as a standard deluxe class figure. The "MP" autobot cars just happen to be the same height and mass as your average voyager class figure. And "MP" Soundwave just so happens to be the same height and mass as a barbie doll (cough cough) I mean standard ultra class figure. So anyways I totally get what T is saying.
