Ignorance is a state of being uninformed (lack
of knowledge ). Straight from Wikipedia.
I would have to disagree with that definition. If you lack the knowledge of what color underwear Im wearing, does that make you ignorant ?
Rated X wrote:How informed are you about underwater basket weaving ? Probably about as informed as I am about bicep curls. So that makes us both ignoramouses according to wikipedia.

For $3, I'd totally jump in.

Hehe, it could be $3 and I still wouldn't buy it. Not that it looks like a bad figure, but the things I don't like about it outweigh the significance of the things I do like about it.

Um...yes. Yes, it does. I am ignorant of the color of your underwear. And in this case, ignorance is bliss. (While I am making a joke here, it turns out this is all true.)
Rated X wrote:How informed are you about underwater basket weaving ? Probably about as informed as I am about bicep curls. So that makes us both ignoramouses according to wikipedia.
No, just ignorant in those subject areas. The difference is that some people choose to challenge that ignorance and learn something.
Oh, and 32 ounces is not a liter. Anywhere. Try Googling it. Here, I'll help you: 1 liter is 33.814 ounces. Now that nearly 2 ounces may not matter to you, but it is a difference.
(Oh, and I'm in IT, so I feel the need to point out that a kilobyte is actually 1024 bytes, powers of 2 and binary addressing and all of that; unless you are a Hard Drive Marketing person.)
We are waaaaaaaaayyyyyy off topic here. What can I say to get us back on topic... If this thing were $80 I might have been all over it. I'm still sorely tempted. Eh, who am I kidding; I'll probably cave and buy it.

I cant argue with you about the metric system because anything math related is not my area of expertise. But I will note that a quart is pretty damn close to a liter. It's like an ounce and a half more. And the bottles aren't filled to the top anyways so what you actually get varies.
Rated X wrote:On the term "ignorant" all I can tell you is there are some places it's better not to use the dictionary definition because it is perceived as an insulting word. I wouldn't recommend calling a stranger in a bar "ignorant" during a conversation. It's better to just say "unaware" and avoid a possible confrontation. Your choice.

Thanks for the review links. The third one down was what I was waiting for:
Around the eight minute mark we get a really good, close look at the arm transformation. It would have been difficult to put in a wrist swivel. A forearm swivel just below the elbow may have been possible, but that part is tight too. Given the use of pins in the location, and the thin plastic, I would be wary of doing a mod to get the movement I am looking for. I think I would end up getting this with the understanding it will have a permanent bicep curl unless someone completely replaces the arm.
All in all, though, I'm about 60-70% sold. Gaaaahhhhh!
[Edit] And at around the 10 minute mark, when he is transforming the head portion, there are some troubling stress marks on one of the hinges. Hrm...

MGrotusque wrote:I also absolutely need a translucent glittery orange canon on this fig. I HAVE to have that. That solid barrel just doesn't do it for me at all. It should also light up.
A $120 Galvatron should have a light up cannon.
The lower legs pull out and rotate up to wrap around the upper legs during transformation. The post that they pull out on is held in by a screw inside the knee part. In this case it looks like when the screw was put in it caused the post to swell just a tiny bit, so when extended instead of rotating it got wedged in place and sheared off. It didn't have any more resistance than the one on the other leg that worked just fine, which means it's either incredibly easy to shear or there was already some stress on that part. Unfortunately I can't tell at this point. I will say that the other leg and the rest of the figure have proved themselves to be quite sturdy with handling, so I suspect this part may have already been failing to begin with.
Again, this seems more like a QC issue on a test shot and may not present an issue on the release version, but still, be careful with the legs. It's already a frustrating transformation as it is.
I'm attempting a fix so I can try to review it, but it may be a bust.
Hooray! Got this guy fixed and transformable again, so I should have a video up Sunday night. Also found the real culprit. The knee hinge was assembled backward, so every time it had been transformed previous the post was stressing when the cannon was snapped together, since there wasn't enough clearance to allow it to fold fully into place. Too much of that and a tight rotation and bam, failure. I'll point out the exact issue in my video, but it was a minor assembly error that shouldn't affect production units.
