TRU Chatham had the same lonely Roadbuster they had last week.
Damnit I should have ordered wave 3 from Kapow! That said I'm still after all of wave 2.
Did just win a CHUG Smokescreen on ebay! Woot!

Plenty. Then again, we've heard plenty about Ozzy Osbourne retiring too.

I told myself I'd only maybe get Defensor if I saw them in hand (save a bit of money then the online prices) but the more pictures I see, the more impressed I am, only thing is finding space for them, don't know too much about the Protectobots character-wise (grew up with Beast Wars, watched the odd G1 episode but never the full series) so I'm not overly attached to them as I am with some other characters, but they just look really cool, especially Hot Spot.
Couple of weeks ago I found and bought a lone Roadbuster in Northwich B&M of all places, didn't think they'd get them in but I checked anyway as I had time to kill before my bus home, was glad I did in the end. Went back to the Warrington B&M and bought Sandstorm after watching a few more reviews, he's quite cool and different enough from Springer.
I was in Liverpool on Friday and in Forbidden Planet they had 1 leader class Jetfire, the box was slightly damaged and cracked open, he was £50, I went to the till to ask if they had any others/cheekily ask if they could knock a couple of £ off (seen them do it before) but the guy was rude as hellllll! like properly had a stick up his A***, the staff in that store are not very helpful, rude and ignorant every single time I've ever tried speaking to them. Anyway rant over, I bought Jetfire, and I was surprised to find that I actually liked the Chrome, with a few extra paint apps I added I really enjoy him and think he was worth the price.

Haha yeah, a few volumes on dvd for christmas a few years back and an episode here and there whenever they were on TV growing up, I did watch the G1 movie though, and that was (and still is) awesome.
I bought a G1 boxset from HMV a couple of months back all 4 seasons (okay I know there were 3 and then a few episodes that they summed up as a 4th or something along those lines) just haven't gotten around to watching it.

I admit there are some other great episodes, but I think it's best to just assume G1 is awesome than actually prove it.
Any disagreement?

I still think G1 is worth watching in it's entirety.
It was genesis after all, the start of the franchise, it was the 'first wheel'. Sure other series have been better animated with better story lines and character development.
However I still maintain that G1 has relevance today, just look at the success of Generations, the Combiner Wars etc....all G1 origins.

G1 toys and Characters are the bedrock of my hobby and I love them all dearly, even the bad ones.
I should probably quantify my earlier comments. I LOVE G1. I love the G1 show.
I do find some of it hard to watch if I re watch it as there is some really awful stuff in there, and when you take off the rose tinted glasses it can look a bit terrible.
My recommendation was really to not build up hopes that the G1 show is the pinnacle and epitome of everything Transformers is and should be. I would definitely recommend that everyone should make the choice to watch the show, and I also love the Japanese sequel shows - especially the really odd dubs ("look! It's Philip! Philip has come to rescue us!" - Why was Metroplex called Philip?) BUT, I think that it is perfectly acceptable to pick a few of the "good" episodes and watch those rather than necessarily watch all of it.
On reflection, I think there are definitely some other episodes that should be watched - Key to Vector Sigma for example and indeed the final few Headmasters episodes. But due to the fact that there is very little in terms of over all story line that spans episodes or seasons, then dipping in and out is not a bad thing - unlike say, Prime or Beast Wars that had character development and plot threads that lasted whole seasons. That is more a reflection of TV in the 80s vs more recently to be fair.
So, to stop me from rambling further - I alter my previous statement.
Watch all of G1 if you have the time or inclination - but if you just want to watch some of the "good" bits, then More than Meets the Eye, Key to Vector Sigma, The Movie and Rebirth are all pretty good bets.
Probably avoid "Carnage in C-Minor", even if you are watching the whole lot.

About 5 years ago, some Minicons were released blind bagged with Fizzy Sweets candy. There were 12 in total, mostly just re-packaged versions of the K-mart exclusive 12 pack, but there were some variants involved.
Anyhow, I've gotten 9 of the 12, including all but one of the true "variants" of the group. There's an ebay listing up with the three I need, but it's in a big lot of other stuff I just simply don't need or want and the seller won't split it up or haggle. So, before I spend too much out of desperation, I'm curious if anyone here has any spares they'd be willing to part with. Looking for Bodyblock (Red monster truck), Skyhammer (blue military plane), and Suppressor (bright yellow fire truck looking thing). Willing to pay pretty top dollar to get them acquired.
And the G1 cartoon is brilliant, but I can see it being hard to pick up if you didn't grow up with that style of show

I may have some of these, will have to check my Minicon tub. Will try to do that tonight.
Update: Nope, no longer have them. Sorry.
