Too many people at TFW... I like it here because it's quieter, and there are characters here that I enjoy. Besides, I gave TFW a chance when I started my fic, and I got ignored. People actually read it here, so Seibertron won me over. :P

Besides I don't believe we Britons deserve any special treatment. I'm much happier with an international forum where I can see all kinds of different people than I am with annexing sub groups by culture.

And no matter where I go there's always going to be someone that pisses me off.

Hi guys,

Long time no post but I had to pass this on:

Check out your local 'Wilkinsons' if you want to get your hands on RTS Windcharger, I just picked him up for £7.99 from mine.

not at retail. forbidden planet don't count as retail as they go through different wholesale companies, the same way kapow get their stuff i believe. They can get stuff in from the US or whereever where big shops don't bother.

You may find that they are cropping up because Diamond UK distributes to them and other big comic companies so they got a supply of Grimstones and the Steamhammers(actually on the Isle of white they were knocking out Grimstones for £15 a set I heard as Diamond had put the Grimstones on clearence to get rid of a backlog).

Stores like Tesco and Smyths have had consignmenst of american stick recently hence why we got some of the repiants.

TFW2005 i stopped using as there was lots of flaming.

I recently met the guys who own TF@the moon(transformertoys.co.uk). Real nice guys and it is a UK site run by UK buys.

I used to use ben yees site until he pulled it down eyars ago. Its not as well travelled nowadays though.

my dad used to deal with diamond getting stuff in for his comic shop, they were total w***ers. theres a huge minimum order, and you have to order stuff every month.they started getting orders wrong and sending duff stuff so my dad doesnt go thru them anymore...but it is a lot harder to find stock now. thanks to diamond and my dad i got most of the 07 movie deluxes before shops, and the whole classic wave 1 too. it's a shame i miss the days of a shop stocked to the rafters with figs...

I agree with Neurie in regards to tfw and its flaming, as there are some idiots over there mostly Americans (the impatient ones do my head in) but it shouldn't sway you from joining the site, but it does sway me from posting regularly.

i've met quite a few of the UK members at AA and they are a great bunch of guys, the UK community is pretty cool there's a scalper or two over there, but no overall complaints about the brits

i'm also a member of tf@themoon and thetf.net, but i'm not a fan of the sites layout

although tf@themoon has an amazing lucky draw collection/gallery

i essentially troll around, but without the flaming and the hate =P

wasn't a fan of the loss of the ODB title and thread move, but theres enough of u guys around to make this place feel cosy

wasp your dad owns a comic book store? that must of been amazing for you growing up

i'm hoping FP will get gen warpath, if there going round making exceptions anyways

I wasn't aware TFW had it's own version of the ODB. Are there any old Seibs vets there?

Diamond are currently screwing over 3Darths, they've been **** Nick around with the Kup and Scourge generations wave since January, and still going.

They're dickheads, I feel so bad for the guy.

Everywhere you go there'll be retarded yank members kicking up stink. And yes, tfw does have a guy *with two accounts* who's a scalping arse, but we survive. Most of the yank members there are just lovely, and always willing to help out.

What I like most is that the mods there are part of the community and not just collectors on a power rush. Boardwise- the tfw odb's UK mod, is just a lovely guy who helps keep things neat and such.

I do like how we're left to our own devices here, but I prefer how much more involved the tfw community are.
I'm not the first person over there to do a group buy of cases of figures, for example. But that could be down to there being more older collectors over there, bit more experienced. Not to mention Red Leader, the owner of kapow, regulars the forum alongside Nick (3Darths) and treebot (tony?) of another big Uk website I'm currently drawing a blank on.

And there's Locustreingn, a great guy that used to run a collectors store online and on ebay.

If nothing else, the connections you can make hanging out over there are amazing.

And we have a private UK selling group, so our sales threads and wants aren't lost in a sea of Yanky mediocrity.

i finally got my battle blades prime last night, its so much better than i thought it would be.
i also found the newest activators in sainsbury's, rally rumble bumblebee and rally rumble prime if anyone's interested. sainsbury's round me are becoming really good for tfs, full rts wave 1 deluxes, loads of scouts, voyagers and legends, activators and stealth force.

I didn't realise I'd made such an impact.
I'm pretty frustrated, eBay would only let me list 10 items this month so I have to wait several days for Paypal to verify my bank. How suck is that? :-x
