he does have landing gear, see the 2 rows of 3 circles on his underside? theyre wheels flip em down. see the notch under the bit that flips up for his head, flip a bit down there and a wheel comes down.

Yep, those rows of circles are completely missing just and empty space where they should be.

Finally my transformers famine has ended with me getting Gernerations Warpath and United Optimus Prime. United OP is so much nicer looking than his RTS counterpart and Warpath is just beautiful. :x

Where'd you order from? I recommend getting in touch about a replacement, cos that sort of lack of QC is unacceptable.

To be honest I could live with that it's the shoulder that annoyed me more. The pin holding the thruster tab seems to be put in at a wonky angle meaning that to even get the arm transformed I had to cut away a bit of plastic. I paid over the odds for this figure, won't be doing that again.

Ebay, it came from Taiwan. It took three weeks to arrive so probably wouldn't be worth sending back. Lesson learned is all.

hmm maybe, but if you used paypal you could try for a partial refund so at least it's not so much of a hit? Try emailing the seller and let him know.

'kay guys, i'm trying something new here.
after my unfortunate escapade with rts ledgends starscream, i eventually got an argos giftcard with exactly £5.09 on (the price of a ledgends) about two weeks ago.
Today aswll as duststorm and sandstorm, they had a prowl in, so i instantly nabbed him.
basically, i'm quite literally just opening him now, and i'm going to voice my thoughts as i do it.
In the box: awesome looking, but id=s he always stuck looking down? Hope not.
Out the box: string is a tangle, getting caught on his leg. Doesn't fell saafe getting him out of the pack bit.
good he can look forwards. feet are odd, confuse me a little. oh right it is meant to be at about 45 degrees. rub sign is nice and responsive. stands well, good articulation. transformation is cool and pipsqueak. reminds me of universe jazz. all pegs together nicely for car mode, underside doesn't look too bad. you can see the head, but it's a pretty head :D . vehicle mode is SWEET! doesn't roll too well. detailings and paints are good, molding is lovely, panel lines aren't too visible.
9/10

so there it is, my prowl opening feelings in a nutshell.
hope y'all enjoyed it now!

really, its false advertising on argos' part, but they never knew that the figure pictured wouldn't be available...they've done it before with universe starscream in the spring 09 catalogue.

Maybe not guys. I just picked up Heavytread at my local newsagent of all places today. There was a Skyhammer on the peg as well that I'll likely be back for tomorrow. Not sure what's going on but I don't see an independent newsagent in Yorkshire as being likely to be ordering through Diamond, Hasbro shifting some stock that the supermarkets don't want through other channels maybe.
I quite like Heavytread but like the rest of the PCCs I'm not really 'wowwed'. Messing about with the positioning of the turret in robot mode and flipping up the larger head when not combined produces a bit of variance and if I can find another one I might 'promote' them to Classics status as a stand in (pre accident) Rack'n'Ruin.

PCC Heavytread and Skyhammer found in UK

Postby waaaaghlord » Thu Apr 14, 2011 5:11 pm

For a while now UK collectors have been under the impression that we were not getting any PCC figures beyond wave 2, with only specialist importers such as Forbidden Planet bringing in US stock of later figures.
This no longer seems to be entirely the case as I just picked up Heavytread at my local newsagent of all places today.

It could be that we've just been previously misinformed about Hasbro UK's plans with this line and that these will creep through to more mainstream retailers over time, but as far as I'm aware these are the first Euro packaged versions of these toys to be found in the UK.

I would imagine that "smaller retailers" means independent toy shops, comic shops, or larger chains that don't stock a large number of toys (WH Smiths for example). I remember my LCS complaining during The Phantom Menace about the difficulty in stocking large movie tie-in toys - sometimes there is a lot of pressure to stock huge amounts or not at all (which might be why we still see the dross from the last movie even today). If that is correct (this was like 12 years ago now!) farming out the Generations and other stuff makes sense - it keeps the smaller retailers with transformers products on their shelves.

Either way - hunting stuff might just becoming a bigger pain in the arse than it already is.
