United Kingdom Transformers sightings
Re: United Kingdom Transformers sightings
nice to hear about the other TerrorPreds showing up. I must have Abominus!
also keen to get a recolour or two of him. Looks like Hasbro is going to give us almost all of them repainted. I can only hope there's a Hungrr repaint somewhere along the line too.

Since they don't and we probably aren't I'll stick to picking up 2 sets of the small ones for less than what 1 set of the bigger ones would cost. While there's been some nice stuff revealed this weekend those oversized CV figures are just a huge waste of plastic. Just adding elbow, knee and neck joints would have improved them dramatically, but 'twas not to be.
Are they really doing that then? Just upsizing the cyberverse figures? Because if they are then thats sh*te.I was hoping they had used the cyberverse pictures by mistake! Whose dumbass idea was that Hasbro?!?
It does indeed seem Hasbro are upscaling figures and trying to palm them off as deluxes. It's just, beyond a joke, it's not even funny. It's moronic. I mean apprently one of their arguments was "G1 prime was easy to transform", but, if you give a g1 prime and, idk, a classics voyager prime to someone, anyone-which are they going to say is the better figure? No matter how much of a GEEWUN you are, it's kinda obvious
Hah, this drivel is probably better suited to a different thread-so on a more relevant note, knowing Hasbro UK's distribution we may well not get them anyways

As long as they don't botch up MP Soundwave's distribution, I'm fine.

Just got back from Toys R Us. Got beast fire Predaking for £37.50. It appears that Beast Hunters figures are on a 25 per cent discount. This is true for deluxe and play sets. Unfortunately I did not check the rest of the range as I was busy rushing to the till.

Huh. Would be cool if MP OP also fell under that...
UPDATE: Nope. Just the new Beast Hunters stuff.
DOTM and PRID are also discounted, with deluxes at £7.99.

Re: United Kingdom Transformers sightings
Visited my local TRU in leeds to pick up a new swing set for my little lad. They had TF Prime BH wave 1 and 2 deluxes for just short of £10, voyagers for £22.99, and the ultimate predaking for just shy of £38. They also had plenty of TF Prime RID deluxes for £7.99 and voyagers for £14.99 (although B&M are doing them for £12.99 each). For those after a Steve they had one left when I was there. Were I not maxed out on Tfs until AA I would have picked it up for my 3 and a half year old as he is obsessed with zombie vehicons!
They also had MP OP for 99.99 (Still! Reduce it already!) and the usual movie leftovers / generations soundwave minions for £12.99 each.
Anybody got a lazerback? Not sure if I want him or not. Love his beast mode, but robot mode leaves me unimpressed.

Ok... Trying again... Kindly don't crash when I press "submit" this time Seibertron
Bit of a lurker rather than a poster here, but I've got a couple of questions for you all
1. Anyone here heard any news about us getting the new waves of Generations over here? I'm talking about Springer/Sandstorm/Metroplex/Orion Pax etc. I'm trying to hold off getting figures from Kapow at import prices in case we get them at normal retail prices leter, but don't want to miss out.
2. Who's in London? I've rather pathetically failed to acquire any proper geeky friends since moving down here and feel it's something I got around to changing.
Right, now then... Select all text... Ctrl C... Click "Submit"...

Fortunately for my newly born son, my time and money was showered upon him.
Unfortunately for me, I missed one of my all time favourite artists making a very rare appearance at LFCC, John Bolton, and of course the wealth of Transformers related artists and writers!
Va'all, how was it, did you catch up with Dave McKean?
Any sketches?

Re: United Kingdom Transformers sightings
Saw an article about a Freddie Mercury Gorilla being removed in Norwich at Queen's manager's behest. Arse! The Optimus is excellent. Munky or Trukk? You Decide.
I was in Govan Asda here in Glasgow on Saturday where I found a box of those Japanese TFP BH weapon things (gachapon?) under the Gacha.TOMY brand. You know the snakes, mini OP 'Bee and the flat footed lizard thing? Blind bagged of course, fondled a few and felt confident that I was away with different ones (and no lizards) only to find I'd bought three of the black snakes. For £2.50 a piece. Don't suppose anybody has seen a list of how to tell the feckers apart?

Just got back from a little trip into Manchester. In their Forbidden Planet store they had deluxe beast hunters Ratchet and Dreadwing which I wasn't expecting, didn't pick either up as I had no interest in them. they also had cyberverse hun-grrr, windrazor (the flying one?) and prowl, not sure if they've been spotted before. No voyagers though :S was hoping for a voyager shockwave maybe but sadly no luck, does anyone have any idea when the next wave of voyagers will hit UK stores?

Funnily enough I was also in manchester's forbidden planet recently-saturday, in fact. Was a little disappointed at the lack of generations figures, and opted not to pick anything up-instead nabbing an RTS jazz, sans gun or speakers, from a shop in the Affleck's centre-place-thing for £6. That same shop had some other bits in the TF part of their cabinet-a g1 jazz that appeared to be missing the doors, a g1 ironhide and g1 dragstrip, g1 ravage's guns iirc, and a horrendously beaten up and mistransformed MP-01 for £8! (though they were selling all the accessories as extras, £3 each). Was very tempted but I realised i didnt have much space in my bag, and anyway it was genuinely painful to look at-half the paint was scratched away and it was missing some panels i think.
And Ryan-from what I gather we're also waiting for sighting of those to pop up

Well, I must have done something right on holiday with my ex the other week. She rang me up from her local B&M today to see if there was anything I needed on the shelves. PRiD Bulkhead coming my way for my birthday. Just the full size Skyquake, the weaponizers and a couple of CV bits and I'm done with the line. Oh, and any more Vehicons I find cheap obviously.

I would be if not for only narrowly avoiding negative equity on the rent. Cheap week ahead I'm afraid. I'm up to four once I pick up the one a mate snagged for me while she was out of town at her mother's, probably another couple and I'll call it a day on the basic Steves (and start looking at the FE/AM versions I'm sure).

Anyone else seen the news about Predacons rising toys in a tesco in west bromwich? I did an hour ago and rushed up to my local tesco extra to find....nothing, Just the usual BH figures.
I need to get me a Darksteel, I think I prefer that colour scheme to Grimwing.

Re: United Kingdom Transformers sightings
No rising Predacons hereabouts, or at least not at my local Tesco. Going to see about going on a wee hunt up to the larger one after work. The shop I was in last night did seem to be unloading a fair amount of toys, but the only Hasbro boxes I saw where the Iron Man Assemblers. They did have the normal Beast Hunteres stuff, and a price drop on them. Deluxes were £9.50 I think, and the Legion dudes were only £3.50.
I have either Hun-grr or Sinnertwin on the way from TFSource right now, and will probably get the PR Abominus pack but I was tempted by £3.50 for SinnerTwinstrike for the price of a sandwich.
Really wasn't expecting Predacons Rising so soon, or else I wouldn't have shipped a £200 stack from TF Source. Still, gettin' ma Springer n Blitzwing soon!
We don't have Target shops here.
