Because I've suddenly realised I rather like the look of Darksteel's robot mode and may have to pick one up if I see it at a nice price, I just want to make sure that it is, in fact, worth the cash.

As far as I know, everyone loves it. Definitely worth 20 quid by all accounts.
I haven't got it yet though.

I was a bit unsatisfied with my Darksteel when He didn't peg together in the chest. It all just kind of hangs there pretty loosely, even when I used a bit of clear nail varnish to thicken up some of his pegs.
However, I since realised that when you peg his weapon into his back, with it's head facing down, it gives him really awesome back spikes sticking up behind his head, and his missile fits into his hand as a pretty convincing Axe if you remove the string attaching it to the launcher. That made him look awesome enough that I stopped caring about how loose he was.
Whether you take these words as a recommendation or a warning is up to you though.

Takes me up to 18 deluxe Vehicons in total I think, plus 12 legion and 4 of the troop builder Kreon packs. Total spend for the day came in at just under £100 including the Tower of Omens and the 4 mythological bootlegs.

Where does "Steve" come from anyhoo?
Why don't people use a more imaginative name like... Reg.
Or Santiago.
Or Sir Christie Pontefract Higginbotham.
Or Dave.
